LSODM is over 133,000 words right now and I promised my editor I'd have a reasonably finished first draft to him by the end of the week. That means no Twitter and no blogging, and very little internet presence at all. Even a half hour of writing a blog is a half hour of NOT writing the book, and I can't afford to do that right now. When the book is done, when it's finally done, business as usual will be resumed. Until then, this temporary silence continues.

I'm fairly certain I am going to die of heat stroke by the end of the week, so if you don't hear from me, assume that I have died a heroic and glorious death.
(In other words, it's about 70 degrees F and the only thing I have that I can wear is jeans and boots. Which are all black. Along with all my other clothes. And black absorbs heat. SO I'M DYING SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY.)

We got no snow whatsoever last winter....
First rain and more rain.
Then everything froze and frosted over but nothing fell from the sky.
Then...back to rain. There was snow mixed with the rain a couple of times, but not much of it.

It mostly never snows here. It's done it like... three- five times over the past 17 years, and when it did snow, it was really wet snow that melted super fast xD.
I had too much snow. I couldn't even get into my garden, because of an eight ft snow drift. :P

Last year, it was crazy... The snow melted then froze over and everything was coated in ice, like... Trees, cars, the house, all with this layer of transparent ice... It was scary, when branches from the really tall trees would fall off from the weight of all that ice. And the snow wasn't the right texture to do much with.
I love complaining about the weather...
So actually Zafiara I guess I should thank you for making England the most amazing place in the world...
