Let me tell you about Stormwatch.
Stormwatch was a comic published by Image, and it was a fairly generic superhero team book. I bought it, I collected it, I read it, and I suppose I enjoyed it. Not as much as WildCATS, not as much as Spawn or Gen-13, but probably more than CyberForce, which featured a guy with three arms called Stryker. Now THAT was dumb.
This was all during a time in the 90's when Image were seriously challenging Marvel and DC in comic sales. They challenged them by pretty much copying them. Spawn was kinda like Batman. WildCATS were kinda like X-Men. Glory was Wonder Woman, Supreme was Superman, and Youngblood was rubbish. Every superteam even had their own Wolverine- the tough-talking cool guy who used blades (and, this being the 90's, a ridiculous ponytail).
Stormwatch was fairly bad, when I look back on it now. Impossible muscles, stupid dialogue, impossible women, dumb stories, derivative characters... It got so that reading it was a chore. And then Warren Ellis came along.
Ellis took the book and improved it. But he didn't just make it better. He made it GREAT. He brought Big Ideas to the table, he brought wit and horror and pure science fiction, and he made it one of my favourites. As Stormwatch went on, it would introduce Apollo and the Midnighter- basically Superman and Batman- as a gay couple who just happened to be the toughest heroes around.
Stormwatch would later mutate into The Authority, and just get even better and better. If any of you like comics, I advise you to pick up the collected editions. You will NOT regret it.
But why am I telling you all this?
Because of one single issue. A special, actually. A crossover. WildCATS/Aliens.
When I saw this issue advertised, I didn't think much of it. Aliens, from the Ridley Scott/James Cameron movies, were always being used in comic crossovers. They'd gone up against Superman and Batman and Judge Dredd. None of these comics were particularly good. You knew nothing big was going to happen. If something major was going to occur in a comic, it would occur in the monthly version, not in some stupid crossover thing.
So WildCATS/Aliens came out, and I bought it, and I read it. The WildCATS go up into a space station to fight the Aliens. Big deal, right? But along the way they realise that Stormwatch had been here before them. And as they search this huge, scarily empty station, they come across their remains.
Ellis had killed most of the Stormwatch team— and what's more, he did off-panel. We didn't even get to see them die. That's like Captain America stumbling upon Spider-Man's dead body in the middle of a story. It was THAT shocking. To kill them in a silly crossover? To kill them without even showing us how they died?
Warren Ellis took what everyone expected to be a silly little issue, and he made it HUGE.
And that's the approach I took to The Maleficent Seven.
I didn't shake things up quite as violently as Ellis did, but I was determined to shock you. This was just a spin-off, after all. It didn't even take place within the main series. Your guard was down. You went in expecting fun and frolics and adventure, but nothing more. Nothing more devastating than that.
But of course, you should know by now to never, EVER trust me. I will make you care for a character, and then I will snatch that character away from you.
I just want to prepare you, that's all. We have two more books to go, and we have GALLONS of blood to be spilled.
Okay then, so what have I been up to lately?
Well, on March 30th I did signings in Blanchardstown and Dundrum here in Dublin. They both went REALLY well, and I started the Dundrum signing a tad early because of the insane Minions at the front of the queue. So many of them I knew from here in Blogland and also from Twitter, and dear GOD they would not stop talking. I could feel my brain sizzling in my head just sitting there. Joining them, and at the very front of the queue, was Val, from this very blog, who had come over with Amanda and her mom, all the way from Seattle JUST TO MEET ME.
Because I'm worth it.
Of course, I couldn't just sign their books and send them back to America, so the following Monday I picked them up from their hotel, gave them a tour of my AWESOME ROOM OF AWESOMENESS, introduced them to Sherlock the dog, and took them out for lunch. At no stage during those four and a half hours did Val or Amanda even pause for breath. It was SCARY.
From the 5th to the 7th of April I was over in the UK doing signings. It was really weird, to be honest. We were slap-bang in the middle of the Easter break, and London was SO quiet. We still got some pretty decent queues, but the lovely thing about shorter lines is that I can spend even more time chatting to each person.
The biggest turnout was at Norwich, and it was here that I got to hang out once again with Becky and Howlett, the two legendary Uber-Minions. Amazingly, every time I see them they have more stuff for me to sign. I'm not sure where they get this stuff from, or how many of each book they own, and I'm really not sure that I WANT to know. I just console myself with the fact that their obsession with Skulduggery is probably distracting them from another, more damaging obsession, like serial-killing or something.
Now I'm back at home, and I'm back writing, and I'd really like to get this book finished sometime over the next week or so. That'd be nice.

But I suck at ANYTHINGGGGGGGGG to do with contributions.
So I'm not even going near one this time.
That way, I can't fail. :)
Lol, nice tactic.
Thanks. :)
But I end up failing at every contribution I try, so the obvious explanation is to stop trying. *nods*
Less people getting let down that way. :)
GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHY CAN'T OUR PROFILE PICTURES BE BIGGER???
I like my profile picture. It's a picture of a dragon I found on Google then I inverted the colours so it changed from an Ice Dragon to a Fire Dragon.
*nods*
It's a cool dragon. :)
Well, there was a time when I changed my profile picture every day.
Profile pictures I have liked and stuck with for quite a while were an edited-by-me-so-now-it-had-COLOUR-yay! picture of Tanith, a blue waterfall thing, some of the front cover of Lies (it said Lies in blue on a black blackground, in other words), my blue hand profile picture, and my Believe-style Disturbed picture, which is stupid, as Believe is my least favourite Disturbedalbum, but ther you go.
I can never stick with ONE piture. :P
I envy those who can. :)
Damn, forgetting to correct my keyboard-induced typos again . . . Sorry.
Tea brb.

It came to mind earlier, and I realised I couldn't think of a word to fit it...
Otherwise, um, Hi!

Hello MARAAAAAA!!!! When I get back to the computer, I will email you the pictures of your surpriseeeeee. It's also included in the video ded.
Also hi everyone else. I'm maybe here for five minutes. Not long.
*laughs*
Hiya, Ieni!
Oh!
In my English class, I turned around, ever so slightly bored, and cast my eyes across the room.
Something stuck to an odd-angled wall caught my attention for a second, and I could just make out the word 'awesome' before I thought "I recognise that writing...".
And then I saw the skull wearing a hat like a 1960s private eye.
And grinned.
I'm sure you were cute!
*thinks of cute numbers and starts laughing head of* Sorry, something that happened in Maths today. :)
You had to be there, but Sir was talking, and we all heard the boy behind me say "That's why it's a cute number!" and we all sort of looked at him and he said "Sorry, me and *name of boy next to him* were talkin about cute numbers and he was trying to disprove me."
And I've forgotten what Sir said.
. . . Yes, you had to be there. :)
[laughs]
Hello Taia and Star and Lucy and Ieni and Mara and anyone else!
Hi Ieni! :) *huggles*
Hiiiii Fabigail! *laughs* *huggles*
Oooooh, surprise! :D *hugs*
You don't have to make me anything...!
HI FABI!
@Taia: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . O_O
I already made it, Mara. :-P It's the same one I was talking about like a month ago. I just had to wait because something needed to happen before it was done.[hugs back]
So, yeah, there's a Skulduggery Pleasant poster at the back of my English classroom, now. :3
Unfortunately, it's a big room, and the poster's too far back / oddly angled to see properly.
Hiya, Fabi!
*parachutes in through the roof, does a flip and lands perfectly then cuts off his parachute*
Hello.
Hello everyone!:D
*totally forgot to say hi*
*is killing a character off in Skuttlebuggia right now*
*is sort of killing two off at the same time. In a way*
Yay for SP posters!
Hello, Dragona.
Killing off characters is funnnnnnnnnnn. Eep!
*laughs*
Hi, Dragona!
How're you?
Killing off characters is always fun/interesting/maybe-a-little-morbid.
It's all good. :P
IRISH HISTORY
I HATE YOU
DE VALERA WILL NOT GET ME A JOB
COLLINS WILL NOT MAKE ME AN AUTHOR
SHUT UP AND LET ME DO WHAT I WANT!
*sulks*
Fabiiiii... *huggles again*
See, I can make good entrances. :D
Hey Fabi and Luciana and Taia and Maralie! How are you all?
And I'm fine thank you Taia, you?
@Taia: . . . NO WORDS. O_O
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HI DRAGONA!
Hi, everyone:)
Sorry, I am vaguely here, it's just I'm reading Sherlock Holmes at the same time:)
*laughs* Killing of characters is fun, however reading about your favourite characters being killed off...
*hands Mara a cookie*
@Dragona: I'm good, thanks. :)
@Star: *grins*
Hey Star! How are you?
Hey Ieni! How are you?
Hello, Dragona:)
I like the song at the start of this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfrrAp1blaM
It's sad, but I think it goes well with the video.
[hugs back] And I uh, can't actually give it to you because you're, y'know, in Ireland, but you can have pictures of it, definitely. When I get home and can use the computer with the pictures on it. [nods]
I'm okay, the usual, slightly annoyed, but also good.
Hi Ieni. :-) I'm distant as well...:-/
Cant use the link at the moment, sorry Dragona. I'll take your word for it, though.
That's ok, Fabi. :)
I'm good, because the infection in my you're has distracted me for the day, Dragona:) You?
Hmm...But it means I can't run, which also distracts me...
Fabi, what's your ded called, because I can't copy and paste, because Kindle, but I could search for it:)
I did type it out, but something went wrong. Twice.
I'm fine thanks. And what's the infection in my you're?
Oh, yeah, definitely :P
I might be allowed sing Little Things for the graduation:D
*nods*
I think I agree, Dragona. :)
Awesome, Mara!
It's called 'My Fourth Video Ded DANGER: Includes Live musical accompaniment' I think... Which isn't accurate because I decided last minute to record another flute on top of the first at the beginning, but whatever.
Sorry! I went for tea!
It's fun to play bongos on your stomach... *laughs*
...
Not weird. c:
Taia, it IS a good song. I think it's called My Life by JJ, but the start is the only good part. The rest of it isn't as good.
I think it definitely goes well with the trailer for the game, though. And it's good it's made out of 100% game footage. :)
Haha, autocorrect XD
I meant my toe XD
Yay, Mara! Because asdfghjkl you're so amazing at singing!
Danke, Fabi:) I shall go inspect:)
*noms cookie* THANKS TAIA!
*scatters crumbs on carpet* *gulps*
Wb Luciana! How are you?
Mara and One Direction. [smiles and nods]
Wb, Luci!
*stares at Ieni* *chokes*
Amazing? At singing? Me?
*laughs* *laughs so hard she falls over*
WHAT A GREAT JOKE XD
Wb Luci! :)
I'll check it out later if I'm allowed on the computer, Fabi! :)
I had a dream last night that Harry and I were eating birthday cake and Niall popped out of it (it was a really big cake) and shoved Harry's face into it XD
Okay Mara.
And I am also of the opinion that you are a good singer. I liked the song in your video ded. [nods]
[Laughs]
Cool dream, very Mara. I didn't dream last night. Either that or I'm lying and I did have a dream just a boring one. Or maybe I forgot. [shrugs]
Oh my gosh. Helping my sister wit herhomeowrk and it is SO. HARD.
This is ridiculous. They don't expect us to do stuff this difficult and I'm three years older than her.
*is looking up some of the words er sheet is using in my dictionary so I can understand the task*
NON-FINITE verbs? Lots ofyear nines dont know what VERBS are! *glars*
*nods*
I just listened through the rest of it, and, yeah, the beginning's certainly better than the rest, I think.
Still, sounds good, though. :)
Real game footage is always good to see in trailers, I guess. ^^
*laughs*
Dreams are that awesome, Mara. :)
NAMING BOOKS IS AWFUL
HOW DO YOU EVEN
*gives up*
ATONYM PREFIX????????
I had a dream that there was a zombie apocalypse and the only gun I had was an MP5A3.
Which is good, considering it's my favourite.
Anyway, the zombies were like "rar" so I crushed them with a truck.
Then I needed somewhere to hide that was good and had plenty of food, so I reinforced a supermarket with metal shutters then hid out there and made lots of weapons using kitchen knives and stuff.
It was fun.
I was sat there drinking Dr Pepper whilst zombies were banging on the shutters and I was being all casual.
I.
CAN'T.
SING.
End of story :)
TODAY IN ENGLISH WE HAD TO WRITE NEWSPAPER ARTICLES ABOUT A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
IT WAS GREAT FUN C:
WRITE TWO ADVERBS THAT GIVE CONTRASTING PICTURES. *glares*
Cheese?
Cheese.
Heck, Star. What ARE non-finite verbs? O.o
And, Antonym prefix.
Is that like, antonyms AND prefixes (That, I know), or is there actually something called an 'antonym prefix'?
DO YOU HAVE TO LEARN ALL THAT ENGLISH-Y CRAP TOO, STAR!?
We had to do a test on it the other week... I was the only one to get 100%
The person who got the second best in the school got 96% or something, because I'm gr9;D
Hello
How is everyone today?
This is the second time u have started a new page with the word cheese! :D
Frieze?
I've NEVER HEARD of that word. *glares*
Sorry, not really here. :/
We had to write a story about a zombie apocalypse. Mine ended up being 50 pages long...
Then again, it did go into detail of how scientists trying to create a biological weapon, during a test, accidentally set it off and turned into zombies but meh.
I get all confuse with English words for some things. Why can't verbs just be called describing words?
Wait are verbs describing words or naming words?
I'm good at English just not remembering the names of things like that.
I have to draw facial expressions to represent the rich and the common people, but I almost labeled them as "Rich" and "Muggles". There is something wrong with me.
Hey Aisling!
How are you?
Oh and no dear, I need to ded.
*confused
O.O
*eight word documents randomly open on her laptop*
*blinks*
I think it wants me to write.
@ Aisling:
Verbs convey actions.
Adjectives are describing.
I used to confuse 'em a lot, too. :)
Taia, maybe they're MAGICAL word documents.
Try writing something on it. Like "Val V magically becomes four inches taller" or something.
Verbs are doing words. :)
And Mushroom, no. This is my YEAR SIX SISTER'S Englih homewrk. It's a load of useless crap, she'll learn it all again at high school, she's all groaning about it and I am angry.
HELLO PEOPLE WHO RANDOMLY APPEARED!
Sorry I am so distant - killing off some loved characters... :3
I'm good. Well apart from the fact that my feet are knackered from spending 5 HOURS in a shopping centre today. Although I did spend 2 hours in the cinema. But still 3 hours walking around a shopping centre.
I was there with all the girls in my class. It's a school tradition to go shopping the day after you're confirmation with your class. The boys went somewhere else though. No idea where.
Hey, Val!
*laughs*
Consider it done.
How are you?
Staying home from school today. I'm trying to do homework, but I can't focus, because I'm halfway through the last episode of Sherlock in series two and I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanna finish it.
Oh yeah verbs are action words
*bops self on head* *is not good at these things*
SHERLOCKSHERLOCKSHERLOCK!!!!!
It's SUCH HARD STUPID HOMEWORK.
I detest my old primary school.
My brothers are fighting again...:/
*frowns*
I still haven't watched ANY of Sherlock.
Not even sure why not...
Hi Jubi!
@Star: Homework is usually stupid. But it does sound particularly hard. Primary schools are crazy. :/
I mean, the two that I went to were crazy.
So, judging from experience, yeah. :P
Man... Year six... I miss that year.
Five years ago I was terrified to be going to comp. Now I'm terrified to be going to college, *laughs*
My hard homework comes from my Geometry class - which is two grades above mine - and my Social Studies class. I sometimes get hard stuff from English, but most homework is learning punctuation or spelling, and since I'm basically the human dictionary of my school, it's not too hard.
*frowns*
I can hear odd noises...
Which means I have to go.
*waves*
Bye, all!
Bye Taia
Val why is your Geometry clad two grades above you?
Grade is like year right?
*class
BYE TAIA!
One I went to was cool.
The other one was outstanding and knew it. It was constantly wanting to be outstanding and do outstanding stuff so it looked good to the inspectors. Never mind that the kids are going on tons of expensiv trips that have no point to them and just amke the school look better, demanding money from te parents on the way. NEVER MIND THAT THEY DRILL TONS OF YEAR NINE STUFF INTO THE KIDS' HEADS THAT THEY DON'T NEED TO KNOW AND WILL JUST HAVE TO REEARN. NEVER MIND THAT BY DOING DT AND FOOD AND ADVANCED MATHS THEY'RE RUINING THE KIDS' HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE. NEVER MIND THAT THE ASSEMBLIES THAT MAKE THE SCHOOL LOOK FUN AND EXCITING ARE THE ONES WHICH THE KIDS DETEST. NEVER MIND ABOUT THE KIDS AND PARENTS, OH NO, WE JUST WANT TO BE OUTSTANDING. D WE NEED ARIEL PICTURES? DO WE NEED A MULTICULTURAL KITCHEN? DO WE NEED FIVE HOUSAND TRIPS? DO WE NEED ADVANCED YEAR NINE WORK?
NOPE.
HAVE YOU THOUGHT, AND THIS IS TO EVERY SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE, THAT IF YOU DIDN'T UPDATE THE SCHOOLS AS MUCH YOU COULD GIVE SO MUCH MONEY TO CHARITY?
BUT OKAY, SCREW THE CHARITIES. WOULD CARES ABOUT DYING KIDS AND EXTINCTION SO LONG AS WE LOOK GOOD AND HAVE LOTS OF THINGS TO BOAST ABOUT?
Sorry. In a bit of a mood. :/
Omgg it is SO windy here.
:( FOURS TAIA!
I think Hunted being stuck i my head isn't helping. :)
Star that's true but my school is poor so they have fundraisers quite often. And it's not gonna he any richer anytime soon. Stupid recession.
*get
Aisling, Geometry class is a tenth grade class, and I'm in eighth grade. I'm no good at Geometry, so I'm choosing to retake it next year, but I was put in it because I barely passed Algebra last year, which is a ninth grade class. I skipped seventh and eighth grade math.
Ok Val.
American school seems confusing to me. But that's probably just cause I'm so used to the Irish system.
Ah, my high school is outstanding too. But I like my high chool. It's a good school. Despite being stupid about some thing (the new and very rubbish logo and motto sprng to mind. The old logo was way nice and the motto is stupid. It's "inspire ~ aspire" and it's wrong way round. It should be "aspire ~ inspire" because you aspire and then you inspire others with your aspiration. My dad pointed it out first time he saw it. He told me and I was like OH YEAH. So was everyone I've told. Idiot school :) ), it's a good school, it does good things, tries its hardest to be GENUINELY good (not fakely good) and . . . is a good school. Yeah, me lame at finishing paragraphs. :)
Sorry, I poofed.
I dedicate this page to everyone and everything because everything's all cool and everyone on here is too.
My school is good as well as being poor bough. I mean we were only in for about an hour today for photos and then we went shopping. Me no like shopping. Except for book shopping.
Well, the grade system is like this:
Preschool: 4-5 year olds
Kindergarten: 5-6 year olds
First Grade: 6-7
Second Grade: 7-8
Third Grade: 8-9
Fourth Grade: 9-10
Fifth Grade: 10-11
Sixth Grade: 11-12
Then Middle School is...
Seventh Grade: 12-13
Eighth Grade (me): 13-14
Then Highschool
Freshmen Year: 14-15
Sophomore Year: 15-16
Junior Year: 16-17
Senior Year: 17-18
I think.
We have no middle school, expect for in Bedfordshire where they're special. :)
Great ded! :)
@Aisling: I hate shopping, except book shopping. :)
I mean, food shopping's okay on the scale of shopping, because you don't have to make decisions and it's quicker than going to town, plus you're always walking around so it's less boring.
Also, shopping takes ages. *nods*
Valuable time, wasted.
Although beng with your friends is cooler. *nods*
Sixth grade is part of middle school here...
MIDDLE SCHOOL IS THE WORSE. THING. EVER.
You don't have it? Consider yourself the luckiest person ever. It's completely useless, but everyone pretends it's important. No it isn't! None of your grades go on your permanent record! No one looks at your middle school GPA for college! IT IS UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY USELESS, ASIDE FROM TORTURE!
Sixth grade is elementary school where I am, Fabi.
I miss sixth grade. We got to go to camp and everything, and nothing was even hard. All you had was the MSP at the end of the year.
@Ivy: Ohhhhhhhhkay.
*is now glad I am middleschoolless*
YOU SHOULD BE GLAD, STAR.
VERY GLAD.
School here is
Primary school
Junior infants- 4-5yrs
Senior infants-5-6yrs
1st class- 6-7yrs
2nd class- 7-8yrs
3rd class- 8-9yrs
4th class- 9-10yrs
5th class- 10-11yrs
6th class- 11-12yrs (me I'm alway the older age before the school year starts. I'm one of the oldest in my class)
Secondary school
1st year- 12-13yrs
2nd year- 13-14yrs
3rd year- 14-15yrs
4th year/ transition year- 15-16yrs
5th year- 16-17yrs
6th year- 17-18yrs
In seventh grade, we were the little Sevies who were looked down on by the Eighth graders. Now in eighth grade we're the careless group of kids who despise the sevies.
It's like a never ending cycle.
Sixth grade is elementary in Redmond, too, I think, and they call middle school junior high.
And at my school, fifth graders got camp, not sixth graders.
Blahhhh.
And my lunch break is almost over, so msd.
I'm always one of the youngest in my class. If I tell people I'm still 13 they give me the crazy look.
Okay, will be distant, I need to finish my Social Studies stuff.
I'm also glad we don't have middle school.
Although apparently no one likes first years. *is slightly nervous but not really scared* I don't get all that scared about that sort of thing usually. I get panicky about half an hour after a canoe capsizes and I end up in the water with it on top of my head though apparently. And I was perfectly clam while it was happening.
Ahah so what to do

Was a lovely thing to wake up to on the day of my party
Hi/Bye, Aisling! *waves*
Physics!
wbd.
I'm in 9th grade. Like Zaf, I'm fifteen. I'm one of the oldest in my grade. My birthday's after the start of school, though. And we are celebrating my unbirthday instead this year for a lot of reasons, so these annoying people keep insisting I'll be sixteen and I was held back a year. Uh, no. I know my own birthday and age, thank you very much.
They're just jealous because there's no way in the world I'm inviting them to my party if I end up having one.
For History i have to do my journal entry for Gettysburg but I died so ;/
Yeah we took on the identity of a real soldier for 142nd from Pennsyvania my home state and so we wrote entries about camp life and an bio then the battle of Friedricksburg and our teacher had info on the guy who we took on so if we were promoted we were told ect, well we did Gettysburg and she called the list of people captured, injured and dead. I died at Gettysburg. So when you die you still do the journal but you make up a guy who writes for you so for Gettysburg my 'friend' wrote home to my family and sent my goodbye letter with it telling them I died so now for Vicksburg my friend will write what happened
I'd be in Year Eight...!
Well, here, we love year sevens! Ish. Older people tell them how cut they are. :)
We get annoyed with them when they come home on the bus on the first day though. On the way there, thy go upstairs and we sit in our normals seats and yayz. Then at school, their head-of-year tells them there is an unspoken rule that year sevens cannot sit upstairs or at the back on the bus (rubbish), so the on the way home they all sit at the front downstairs like good little people, so we can't sit in our usual seats and it's annoying. XD
We have no upstairs on our buses...
We have the big bus and the small bus :) I go on the small bus and there's around 30 seats. Then the big bus is huge and has around 60 seats. The seats are doubled up, so separably there are around 60 seats on the small bus and 120 seats on the big bus :)
*laughs*
We, here, seem to despise year sevens.
It's mostly how much they shout and run, and stand in packs, blocking up our tiny, tiny corridors.
And when they steal our form rooms and it's just grr.
To be fair, though, this year's are particularly irritating.
They're not all bad, though.
We generally laugh at how short they're becoming. :P
We have many many buses we have them all with 24 seats so technically 48
Our school is a small country school so we don't have a lot of the things huge schools do. Each of the classes have interactive whiteboards though :) although we don't really use them...
My buses change, constantly.
Sometimes they're tiny, with only space for maybe 25 to sit down, so there's more standing than are seated.
Sometimes there'll be a double-decker bus. That varies between a mouldy one, and a mouldier one.
But usually, there's an average-sized bus, with maybe five or ten people standing, on an average day.
There's also coaches which come up here, yellow, silver, white, and lime green.
So, yeah, I get a lot of buses. xD
We have yellow school buses they are designed for school so nobody else but school kids use 'em
Damn... The winds will reach 120kmph tonight... O.o
or something like that :P
Our buses change at odd time. Sometimes (we're called the smallies cause we're on the small bus -.-) we have a pink bus (the Barbie bus) or a creamy yellowy bus (the coffee bus) or a white bus (the boring bus). :P
Thats wait is that high?
*le American*
Our village needs three buses just for us, and each one can hold over ninety people.:)
Compare this to other villages, where they have multiple villages sharing one bus. One bus of the same size, yeah.
Our school being outstanding, it was large, with all these people from othr villages in it. 60 people in each year group, around 400 in the full school.
Lynxia's school has around 400 and it's a hig school. O_O
@Zaf: 120kmph is about 75mph, I think. ^^
We have public service buses, coaches, and yellow school buses.
It depends where you live, among other things.
Very high. *nods*
WE'RE IN A STORMMMMMMMM
Gale force winds, apparently. :P
Our schools just always uses double-decker buses. All the same make an the same company and often with the same adverts and all . . .
The different buses do rotate round. But they're all red with pale yellow and double-decker. :)
Our primary has around 198 in it...
My secondary is gonna have around 95 in 1st year. It's a pretty exclusive school... But it's an all girls -.- BOYS ARE MY BESTOES. Not most girls. Talking about Niall polish and such...
Oh ye, I forgt you Americns have school buses.
Our buses are the same buses used for the general public, the school just hires them. Some buses us school kids use take the general public at the same time as us . . .
I couldn't imagine being on a bus owned by the school. It ould be like being at school. O_O
My primary school had about 90 people.
Well, my /second/ primary school had about 90.
My first was significantly bigger. Not sure how big, though. :/
Not at all the drivers just want you to be seated after that they dont care
Girls are awesome!
I haven't had a friend who was a boy since I was living in Switzerland when I was two and three. Although I have one no, but that tok three years of seeing each other every day on the bus.
So that's, um, over a decade of my life when I had no friends who were boys.
Some girls are awesome. :) You just have to find the right ones.
*now
Very msd.
*WORD OF WARNING*
If any bloglandian who has NOT read my blog Dublin Daes, and who would like to do so...
You have a month to do it.
Change is coming and the blogs may not be around for very much longer.
You have all been warned.
Msd :/
We have school buses specially for the school... :P
*laughs*
We've had teachers 'accompany' us on our bus at times, because the bus company made some complaints about behaviour.
I have friends who are both boys and girls.
*frowns*
No. Wait.
I have friends who are boys, and also friends who are girls.
*nods*
That makes more sense. :P
Well, see, DIFFERENCE!
Nearly all the drivers couldn't care less if we're seated or standing. Or lunging over the bus attacking each other wth lip gloss or water bottles or scrubbing each other's heads in the leave on the floor or jumping around in the aisle because it feels cool. All real life examples.
Okay, Em! :)
My new bus driver (I moved so I have a new stop) won't let you chew gum or eat food or drink water or even have your legs in the aisle of the bus. But I still manage to do almost all of those things without getting caught. I also forge a note every time I want to go to a friend's house. *shrugs* 'Cause I'm a genius.
Most of our drivers couldn't care less if we were killing each other in the back seats ;P
And then there's Joe... *shudders*
I mean, VERY girly girls. *nods* Like some people in my class... *mutters*
So Em you got a publisher?!
Cause you're just a rebel like that, Val :P
I'm not a rebel...
I wish I was.
Me: Does getting a detention or two count as being a rebel?
Friend: No.
Me: .-.
No but I'm half way through the final draft so the publishing submissions will be getting sent off during the summer.
*tilts head*
Our drivers are all very different.
Some refuse to move if somebody is standing (even if it means piling five people on to once seat), others let people sit in the space which is supposed to be a bin, and sing (badly). Some threaten to kick people off for attacking each other with water, others will let people throw each other across seats.
We have this one driver who deliberately avoids half of the stops on our bus route, telling them if they complain, that the bus doesn't stop there. It does. Just not when he's driving it. :/
*laughs*
I forget my homework, I'm classed as a rebel.
I forget to do my revision, I'm classed as a rebel.
I poke somebody, I'm classed as a rebel.
I think people just find it amusing to call me a rebel.
I'm no rebel. :P
Gtg to bed, night! *hugs*
I'VE NEVER HAD A DETENTION!!!!!!!!!!!
IRREBEL! :)
Bus drivers can be so evil. *nods*
I've never gotten a detention. I'm just really sneaky at breaking the rules. I mean, if the teachers could hear what I'm saying in the back of the room that gets half the class to laugh... I'd be expelled by now.
Bye Mara!
Good Em i'm excited for you! Soon as DD is avalable in the USA it'll be on my shelf
:( FOURS MARA!
I need to go o sleeo as wel. I'm just listening to music first. *nods*
Awesome, Em! :3
Awh. Bye, Mara! *hugs*
I've had detentions, due to my memory span equal to that of a grape.
My first was in R.S. Because I left a drawing at home. T.T
I do the homework, but forget to bring it into school. Same goes for my P.E. kit. :P
I'm just QUIET in school. :/
IT ISN'T HOMOCIDE
WHEN YOU KNOW THEY'RE ALREADY DEAD
Still love those lines! :)
*le Netflix*
Wow. Sherlock makes tea dramatically.
*DRAMATIC WATER BOIL CLOSE UP*
@Taia: I'm on tp of my PE kit. *nods*
But I'm SO unorganised with myhomeowrk! Same - I do it then forget it!
I usually remember it if I do it the night before, though. :)
Also, on Thursdays second period I have French one week then German the next so I bring the wrong books most of the time . . .
It's French tomorrow, though. Yay, I remembered! :)
I never had a detention for something I did IN CLASS, though.
Aside from that, teachers give class detentions, here, for the stupidest of reasons. However quite I am in school (very, for the most part), it's still not easy to avoid detentions. :/
I'm not quiet, I'm just easy to overlook. I can be talking and no one notices, or I'll be standing right there and not seen, or I can sneak right past people without them even looking up. It's like I've got a perception filter on me or something.
Opinion is basically jus aDevice version of DIsturbed' Innocenc.
I LOVED THE LYRICS SO MUCH THIS MORNING WHEN I WAS LISTENING TO IT THIS MORNING I WAS ALMOST CRYING.
Sorry I disappeared. I gave my sister her laptop back for twenty minutes so that she could do her French homework, and I began to read City Of Bones, again, because I've had barely any time to read recently so I've literally just got to chapter 11 - I can read a chapter a night at the moment because I have so little time.
Then Castle came on, and I can't not watch Castle. It's the program I found, that all of my family loves and I love it so much. It'sjust one of those things I really like that makes me feel happy and safe, so I couldn't miss it.
So, yeah, that's why I disappeared. Sorry.
Going again now, too. I'm going to try to read some more of CoB, hopefully finish it by the end of the month, if other things in life don't chill the hell out. .-.
Bye!
*almost starts crying again*
*Disturbed's
*just a Device
*Innocence
:( FOURS MUSHROOM!
Star: I have a similar issue with sciences. Because the number of lessons a week isn't divisible by 3, a few lessons'll switch from one science to the other (E.g. physics to chemistry), so I bring the wrong book, go to the wrong room, et cetera.
Bye Luci! Enjoy your reading! :)

WELL I HAVE AN OPINION
OH, THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON
AND THEIR LIES AREN'T WORTH BELIEVING
WE HAVE TO SHOW WE'RE NOT GIVING IN . . .
@Taia: Evil lesson switches. :/
They do not understand people with terrible/brilliant memories. :/
