The last thing I want is to be in the middle of a signing somewhere and an angry mother hauls her son/daughter up to me and says "Look! Look at my daughter's face!"
I'll nod and smile politely, because I am a polite person, and I will say something along the lines of, "What a lovely young lady she is."
And then the mother will start shaking the poor girl. "She has. A tattoo. Of your character. ON HER FACE."
And I'll peer closer. "Is that what it is? I thought it was a freckle."
"It takes up her ENTIRE face!"
"I thought it was a big freckle. Are you going to sue me now?"
"YES!"
And that's when the ninjas attack.
I may be letting my imagination run a LITTLE bit wild, but you get the idea.

Life is tough for everyone on this planet, but some people have it better than others. It's not about how difficult your life is, you know, it's about how well you cope.
I hate hearing people complaining about others complaining about life because something has happened that affected them negatively. It's stupid.
That's why I've got a couple of things to dedicate to, today. They're simple, to me, but also often ignored.
Strength isn't just about how many weights you can lift, or how big your muscles are. Strength is about your mind, your heart, your emotional standing...
Strength of one person is nothing compared to the strength a friendship can hold. When someone cares about you so much, they'll lend you the strength you need to win, and they'll help you to restore/keep hope.
You might not be the strongest person you know physically, but that doesn't stop your mental strength from being incredible.
Just a few of the people I know from here - Em, Zath, Lynxia, Sparky, Kes, Kallie - have some ridiculous strength in their hearts, and in their heads. Some of these people I know face some serious sh*t in their life, but they're still here, and they are still fighting. Their spirits are bright, their smiles contagious and their minds beautiful - they are heroes to me, along with many others here.
So, I dedicate to the strength of each and every one of you, both alone and between friends. But, also to heroes.
Not every hero wears a cape, and has super powers. Some heroes are normal, everyday people who happen to help you in a way which may seem small to them, but to you could mean the world.
Heroes aren't just those of fiction, they aren't just those people who save people's lives, they are people like those I've mentioned above, and Star, Rim, Ellie, Ashley, Nathan, Andrew, Hellboy, Maralie, Derek... Anyone can be a hero. And my heroes are my friends, because they save me from myself more often than they should have to; they've provided me with hope every time I've lost it; they've taught me how to be myself and they're the most incredible people I've ever had the honour of knowing.

Strength is amazing on its own, yes, but it has no real purpose if there is no goal. However, even with a goal, you usually need something else.
Something to tell you that it's possible, to tell you that you can reach your goal, even if it seems impossible.
Most of the time, for me, this little thing is hope or faith.
Let's start with faith. Faith is believing in something, believing it is possible. Sometimes it's a wanting for it to be possible/reality, but usually it's believing.
Those who believe in something are usually some of the most peculiar people. But also some of the strongest - even without seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling or touching something, they allow themselves to believe it's real.
The amount of times I've not believed in myself is ridiculous. Because I don't think that there is anything special here about me, but that doesn't stop people telling me that I can do something. It's as though they are seeing something in me that I fail to see myself.
To me, this is what faith is - seeing things with a different perspective. To me, that's an incredible talent. And to be able to believe in someone even when they fail?
Believing doesn't require for you to see first, because believing will show you.
That probably doesn't make much sense, so let's put it into context...
So, I believe in the paranormal. And that is essential in what I'm going to say next:
When I was having the operation on my lung, they knocked me out with strong drugs. I only remember waking up to see them watching rugby. I think Ireland was playing.
Anyway, they didn't think my chance of surviving the operation was very high, but it was my only chance to survive. The doctor said, that day, that I must have a guardian angel because the operation went perfectly and because I woke up quickly after it.
Guardian Angel.
I believe I do have someone looking down on me - my mum's mum died aged 37 from cancer, she'd spent a lot of her time in hospital because of it, and with Ben missing it was a disaster for her... But, something made me think of her when they said Guardian Angel, even though I don't even know her name or what she looks like. But, I have faith that, if anyone is looking after me, it's her. And, despite never having met her, I love her unconditionally for everything she did in her life.

Hope.
The things I have to say about hope...
Hope is the strongest thing I've ever known, it can turn the tides in a losing battle, it can bring about comfort to those who are worried and can be used as the most powerful weapon in the world.
Each year I hope that it will be a better year than the last. Every day I hope the day will be better than the previous. Every time something goes wrong, I hope it can be fixed.
I hope a lot. Because hope reminds me that anything is possible.
I'm hoping, right now, that things will improve for the people I love, because in their lives I am often redundant.
Hope gives people something to fight for, whether it's a war, a battle, a struggle in life, it a struggle for life.
I wouldn't be here without faith, and without hope. They are magical things that humankind have been gifted with.
Anyone know the tale of Pandora's Box? All of these sins and horrible things are released from the box at first, because she did what any human does - she made a mistake.
But then, a small bright little thing called hope comes out. Because, no matter how bad life may be, no matter how evil something/someone is, no matter how dark the days get, hope will always be there!
There's still more!
And I've written a lot... :P
So, I dedicate to both faith and hope, too.
There is always going to be something to be thankful for. Always.
And one thing I'm almost always thankful for is art.
Drawing, painting, doodling, dancing, singing, writing poetry, writing songs and writing stories are all examples of art.
Art is a physical way of showing one's imagination. And imaginations are gifts to humanity. Without imaginations, this world would be pretty dull. And there'd be no way of expressing how we feel about things.
Imaginations are beautiful, and I dedicate to them and everything they have given us - Skulduggery Pleasant especially!
I also dedicate to being yourself. You've all taught me it's better to be you than to be someone totally new...
"I always think that I'm the worst, so I always act like I'm the best."
^This used to be true to me. And still sometimes is, but not here. Here I can be myself. So, thank you.
And I think I'll add one more the thing to my dedication after this...
Love.
People were made to be loved, whilst objects were made to be used. The world is a mess, and is currently on its head: people are being used, and objects are being loved.
But I dedicate to the love of people.
I love all of you, even those of you I don't particularly like, but, still, that's not the sort of love I'm dedicating to.
I dedicate to the love you've all shown me this past year and a bit. The unconditional sort, where you'll be there for me if I need someone, you'll make me laugh and smile, argue with me over stupid things (like ships - CHINDUGGERITH<3), laugh at my lame jokes and, generally, make me feel welcome.
It's not ordinary love, that. Not in my opinion. It's Skuttlebug love, because very few people I know in real life would treat me like all of you do. And one of them is a Skuttlebug.
Skuttlebug love - the true kind, a Skuttlebug shows to their friends, acquaintances and complete strangers.
I, therefore, dedicate to Skuttlebug love.
You're all perfect in your own little ways. So I dedicate to you, too, who is reading this.
Oh, and, I dedicate to One Direction (for Maralie), Disturbed, Nine Inch Nails (TOLD YOU, STAR!), Greek, Marina and the Diamonds, Muse, writing, fans of Skuttlebuggia (you're all insane), Miss Cain (NINJA) and Zath, because poster. xD

The sound/genre of MCS changes between albums, I think. People seem to generalise it along the lines of alternative or punk rock. :P
