But before I get back to work, I have been asked to remind you all that my event at the Stratford Picture House on April 5th is the only public event I'll be doing for The Maleficent Seven. For those of you who don't know what a public event IS, it's basically me on stage yapping and answering questions for an hour, and then we go on to have a signing. All other appearances for TMS are just signings.
I've been asked to remind you about this because apparently there are lots of tickets available. Well, I'm ASSUMING there are lots of tickets available. The words used were "it's been slow to book", which means roughly the same thing. Maybe it's because it's the Easter holidays or it's the start of a weekend, but usually events pretty much sell out in a very short space of time. So Harper Collins publicity people are all going "uhhh... what's happening?"
Oh, and for those of you who have already booked tickets, don't you fret. If it IS a smaller crowd than usual, it just means the event will be more of a casual chat between all of us. And also you won't have to wait in line for hours.
But, uh, for all you others... book a ticket. Or something.

I kept suggesting that they should have things like heat-seeking missiles and cameras all over their . . . are they planes? I'll just call them vehicles . . . wih screens in the interior so they can see all round them, and on the Millenium Falcon they should have the computer automatically firing at the enemy whilst they just played cards or whatever, and other stuff; my mum kept explaining and explaining to me that they didn't have computers and stuff then like us now so the couldn't imagine it. :P
And they should have X-ray thngy-a-bobbins so they can just point them at walls, see through them,and so see where they're going andif anyone's there and stuffs.

I keep finding myself singing 1D. Sometimes the actual thing, sometimes the parodies, but I always defend 1D against haters, because they normally have no good reason to hate 1D.

Although as I pointed out later, they probably do hae all that stuff in the Star Wars story-world, but they probably don't have all that much MONEY and are making do with worser equpiment so they can afford stuff like rebel bases . . . X-ray thingies and heat-seeing missles must be awfully expensive, and the reels are a minority and also they probably can't buy too much wihtout risk of being killed. Because they are being hunted down to be killed and stuffs.
And the Empire, when they were sending pilots out to deal with Luke and co. when they were attacking the Death Star . . . My mum pointed out they sent very few ships and there mus be millions of people in the Death Star, and I pointed out, the didn't think they were much of a threat so didn't really panic and train all their force (force, not Force) on them. I mean, you CAN zap a fly to death with high-tech equipment, and you can go out and buy a fly swat, but it's easier to just squish it with a book. So they were just squishing the rebels with a book, never doubting that the fly was holding a tiny machine-gun that could kill you.

And in A New Hope, you could quite clearly see how R2 was saying and doing this because he remember Obi-Wan Anakin time (sobs), and that 3P0 was all "What? Why? Who?" becausehe'd been mind-wiped and couldn't remember. Which is just INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE, because they made th movie without KNOWING about any of that and the mind-wipes.
It just totally blows my mind, how much they connect up . . . D:

I'm not in the MC, but I know what it is . . . My friend Hunter told m I had to read it, because "it's awesome." I read a few sentences of the introduction . . . Then I had to go and do something and never got back to it. Hunter forgot about it after ten minutes or so.
In all seriousness (outside of the storyline in Blogland) Aretha's mind works in strange ways. When she creates a character (she also calls us muses), that character gains its own completely separate thoughts and personality. She actually spends a good amount of time talking to us inside her head, and we respond- sometimes we talk to her randomly throughout the day, even if she doesn't instigate a conversation. Only her strongest muses are able to do that, however. When she writes, she isn't even in control of her plots- her muses take over and write through her. Often she has no idea where her stories are going, or what is happening in them at the current moment, either. Anyway, I ended up being the strongest muse Aretha's had so far, so she gave me- in a way- a separate form of existence, either as an outlet because I started to become overwhelming, or just because she died and still wanted some contact with all of you, even if it's indirect. So that's why I'm here. If anyone bothered to read this. It is rather obnoxiously long.

The last page was dedicated because Fabrina got first and decided to try to do one of her really long video dedication project things, but she has a thing against dedicating a page once it's been filled, so she stole the iPod and dedicated it last minute.
@Niccolo: That or an indicator that the nicknamer likes annoying people.
@Maralie: Hunter said a few billion times that "imagination is a horrible thing. It gives you fear, because you IMAGINE the possibilities you are afraid of. And fear leads to anger and anger leads to hate and hate leads to the dark side, so the easiest way to avoid pain is never to imagine; however, you give up so much with your imagination. The pain is worth it." Then again, he LIKES pain, so I wouldn't listen to him. Actually, I wouldn't listen to him anyway, he's a lunatic.
My advice is - everybody you love is going to die someday. It's harsh, but the truth is, and softening it won't take it away. You've got to be prepared to deal with the pain. Not loving people is a good option, but you get so much from loving people. To not love is not not live. Yes, I'm quoting Hunter again.
