But before I get back to work, I have been asked to remind you all that my event at the Stratford Picture House on April 5th is the only public event I'll be doing for The Maleficent Seven. For those of you who don't know what a public event IS, it's basically me on stage yapping and answering questions for an hour, and then we go on to have a signing. All other appearances for TMS are just signings.
I've been asked to remind you about this because apparently there are lots of tickets available. Well, I'm ASSUMING there are lots of tickets available. The words used were "it's been slow to book", which means roughly the same thing. Maybe it's because it's the Easter holidays or it's the start of a weekend, but usually events pretty much sell out in a very short space of time. So Harper Collins publicity people are all going "uhhh... what's happening?"
Oh, and for those of you who have already booked tickets, don't you fret. If it IS a smaller crowd than usual, it just means the event will be more of a casual chat between all of us. And also you won't have to wait in line for hours.
But, uh, for all you others... book a ticket. Or something.

Okay. I'm only allowed on the computer for 5 minutes, so I'll make this brief.
My phone - which I use to go on Blogland most of the time - has been so goddamn stupid. Apparently I have no credit to go onto the internet (I don't have wifi ;-;) even though I topped up by €20 this morning. Whenever I go onto the balance thing it says I have €20 credit still.
Basically, what I'm saying is, until the problem is fixed, I won't be on Blogland. If I am, it'll be mostly the weekends, and it'll be rarely.
I can't get any emails either (._.") so I can't keep in contact until I get my bloody phone working again.

I dedicate this page to characters (which I also refer to as muses), or whatever else you like to call them. Everyone's mind is different, so I'm certain each of us see/create/experience characters in different ways, but no matter how they're created or what you think of them, they make up one of my two favorite parts of writing (the other of which is the effect it has on readers). As writers, we actually give people life. Even if they don't exist the same way we do, they are still very much their own beings and are very real. Writers have the power to create life for beings that would have otherwise never existed in any form. In addition, when we read, those characters can give back; they can guide our lives just as well as any normal human being, and are capable of making us better people. Through the pain, trails, and happiness in their lives, they can teach us about our own lives and emotions. They can give us strength. I know when I have a really bad day, and maybe one of my friends does too, and I feel like the whole world might come crashing down on me, I remember some fictional character whose world really did fall apart- and then I think that maybe I really don't have it so bad after all. If anyone- even if they aren't real, their emotions are- can make it through something that terrible, I can at least make it through this day. I know it isn't that way for everyone, but it is for me at least, and I know that's true for a lot of other people as well. I am the person I am today- and I love the person I am today- because of all the characters I've been affected by. Even if it's painful to know I'll never, ever be able to meet them (and I have cried on several occasions just because of that) it's worth it for all the happiness and strength that they give me. I don't think she's here now, but I know earlier Star commented "I keep forgetting Niccolo isn't a real person, you know?" and that's probably because- in my mind, at least- he is. And you can even think about it this way, if it makes more sense- he is as fictional to you as all of you are to me. Anyway, back to my point; this dedication goes to characters, because they're just as amazing and strong and real as any other normal human being, and I only wish I could give something back for everything they've done for me.

I can't talk to my dad until the weekends. And even then he doesn't pay attention to me ;_; I used to call my dad each night, now I can't even do that. I can only text and dad never responds to my texts. On top of that, I can't email Kessie. Or come here. So I'm pretty damn upset.
