But before I get back to work, I have been asked to remind you all that my event at the Stratford Picture House on April 5th is the only public event I'll be doing for The Maleficent Seven. For those of you who don't know what a public event IS, it's basically me on stage yapping and answering questions for an hour, and then we go on to have a signing. All other appearances for TMS are just signings.
I've been asked to remind you about this because apparently there are lots of tickets available. Well, I'm ASSUMING there are lots of tickets available. The words used were "it's been slow to book", which means roughly the same thing. Maybe it's because it's the Easter holidays or it's the start of a weekend, but usually events pretty much sell out in a very short space of time. So Harper Collins publicity people are all going "uhhh... what's happening?"
Oh, and for those of you who have already booked tickets, don't you fret. If it IS a smaller crowd than usual, it just means the event will be more of a casual chat between all of us. And also you won't have to wait in line for hours.
But, uh, for all you others... book a ticket. Or something.

*Squirms and pulls small dagger out of boot*
*Plunges dagger into his side*
*scowls but tightens the grip on her throat*
*uses other hand to pull the dagger out of side and stabs her stomach with it*
*Curls around stomach and flips over his head*
*Wraps both legs around his waist
*Pulls out dagger and slices his neck with it*
*heals neck immediately*
*shadow walks into the air and lets self fall backwards, using shadows to keep Judihpor there and slams into the ground*
*stands, turns, and bombards her with various shadow techniques*
*Groans*

That suggests you were not only going all out, but willing to admit that you two were level.
Watched my mother (Death's mother) murdered in front of me, lost the love of of my life, got abandoned by my father... All that good stuff.

Okay, sure, Zath.
Stephen Clarke was a completely normal person, until his girlfriend was murdered. Once that happened, Stephen was completely determined to torture the person who killed his girlfriend, and kill anyone who got in his way. He killed civilians, people who were merely trying to help. He killed whole families, children, until he found the killer. And once he saw who it was, he murdered the killer with extreme carnage. The killer was his brother. Once he was finally satisfied, he had only then realized what he had done. How much he had been insanely driven, so he continuously kept driving away the insanity, until he became John Nexus, a man who killed only for good reasons.
I was three years old, my mother was feeding me and my father was gone. There was a knock on the door and my mum opened it. She was shot in the head by a man with black fingernails. I searched the entire town for her murderers, leaving destruction in my wake. I never found them. That was the first time she came out.
I think I might leave actually... I have a rather bad headache...

Well, firstly... Does he have parents? If so, why weren't they consulted or told, or why didn't they talk to him?
Is he living in a mortal world, or the magical community? If so, why wasn't he caught by the Sanctuary or the police?
Next, a 'perfectly normal' 18 year old isn't mentally nor physically capable to immediately go through the country and murder anyone in his way. On top of that, it doesn't happen EVER, and wouldn't actually happen to him unless he was previously mentally unstable. And teenagers don't just go on a killing spree if their girlfriend gets murdered. They get mad, they break things, and get depressed, but then they heal and most likely find another one.
Next, why did his brother murder the girlfriend? How old is his brother? How was the brother capable of murder? And - again, the whole parents thing. Is the brother an assassin? Why wasn't the police or Sanctuary forces alerted to her murder?
Moving on - how was Stephen suddenly able to snap out of it and realize what he'd done? You say this was like Nagier, but Nagier was created through insanity, and insanity does not just break off; it dies down over time.
Now, John Nexus. "A man who only kills for good reasons". Meaning what? Is he a Detective or something? Why does he kill at all?
How was he able to live with the guilt? Why is he able to switch back into the personality of Stephen at any moment?
Just, listen, before you start shouting at me, this is just me being curios, not trying to demoralize you or anything.
