You all see the colours of words differently to me. O_O
Star is mostly yellow. :) S is yellow, t is blue, a is green and r is red, but as I focus on the S (it is after all capitalised) it's moatly yellow. It's sort of yellow and a bit multicoloured near the end. It's a light, clear word. *nods*
Inkbright is blue and red. That's why the 'bright' is there, because it's a lovely deep blue that also shines. :)
No seriously. I actually did pick it for the colour. Not kidding. I wanted 'ink' in my surname, but all the other combinations just weren't right (Inknight was red with some brown and made my name (Star Inknight) yellow and red, plus made me think of wineglasses (?)), and I eventually decided on 'bright' because it made my name bluer and I wanted blue in my name.
Inkbright was all about the colours. Star was just because I like Stars, it's a 1Derful word (I love the word star. It's all shining and clear and explody. Both bright and star are shining . . . hmm. Bright, I ADORE the word bright <3), and I had no major characters called it. :)
And also, Derek once said Skulduggery'd always been Skulduggery. He said something along the lines of him taking that name because it described the nature of the crimes he solved. Something like that. :)

They're not the coloured hardbacks, they're the fully coloured hardbacks.
They can't be selling them when they don't exist outside of the UK, and the bookshops have none left:)
