Actually hold on, we'll get to that in a moment. I have another 15 minutes before I have to post this entry, at 9 PM, and I'm going to use that 15 minutes, dammit. Because I did things today! Things that deserve to be blogged about!
Well, I did ONE thing that deserves to be blogged about. This afternoon I interviewed Steven Moffat, head of all things Doctor Who and Sherlock, on stage at Trinity College, Dublin. I'm pretty sure it wasn't recorded, though, so you're just going to have to take my word for how brilliantly it went. I've never interviewed anyone before— I'm used to being the one interviewed— so it was very interesting to sit in the other chair for a change.
Mr Moffat turned out to be everything I'd hoped he would be— he's a nice guy and he's FUNNY. It was such an informal, casual conversation that it made asking him questions a breeze. I love the shows he makes, as did everyone there, and it was so cool to be able to talk to him about them and not feel like a total nerd.
And for those of you who are wondering, yes, I DID ask him for Karen Gillan's phone number. NO, he did not give it to me. But I think I broke him down sufficiently that all it'll take is one more chance encounter, and then wa-heyyyyy!
Ahem.
Okay, I now have seven minutes until I have to post this entry.
Oh, I'll be doing two publicity events in Ireland on March the 7th. At 10:30 AM in the Riverbank Theatre in Kildare I'll be interviewing (because I do it SO well) Alex Barclay on stage about her new book Curse of Kings.
Later that day, back in Easons in O'Connell Street at 6 PM, Alex and I will be doing... er... some sort of event. We haven't a clue WHAT we'll be doing, to be honest, but it'll be brilliant, and it'll be funny. I swear. Probably.
At both events, we'll be signing whatever you want signed.
Two minutes!
Okay then, here we go. This title has been in my head for years. EVERYTHING in the series has been leading up to Books Eight and Nine, and this is really where it all starts to build to the (hopefully epic) conclusion.

Hm. I never was any good at swimming. My neighborhood pool is outdoors, and the one in Issaquah, the closest indoor pool that isn't private, is out of our normal...zone. Thus, I could only take swim lessons in the summer, and I would have to stop for the fall. I can swim enough to considerably lower my chances of drowning, but I failed butterfly big time.

It's not really the Darkness's fault, though. :/ It's only as evil as we are. It's just more stronger and powerful than us. It can't help existing. Why would it be compassionate towards humans? We kill and capture mice we find in our houses,mice who are only trying to live, mice who may have been here first. We just care about our comfort more than the mice's lives. At least the Darkness isn't trying to wipe us out like we do the mice. The FAYZ is like its house and the humams are like the mice in it.

I think I just don't like the idea of something pressing even lightly against the veins in my wrists/hands. I'm protective of my veins there, probably because of their random hurting they did att . . .

Ah, I only use those types of pencils. I can't be bothered for sharpeners. I used to pretend to inject myself. You press the end and the press the thing against your skin and it looks like it's going in, but isn't and everyone gets really creeped out XD I had a really bad reaction to the Year 8 jabs.

well, Stephen Moffat..... Not A huge Dr Who fan but my son of 25 is and we recently had the town center here over taken by Darleks so as my son is serving in Germany i took some photos and sent them to him, he was so chuffed whilst also being incandescent with green rage (bit like the hulk ho ho). I LOVE SHERLOCK and do believe Mr Moffat is a genius (along with yourself of course). As for the book title ...not sure I like it, but that's because I haven't read it and the title is always so instrumental to the story, so until i read it I can say one way or the other weather it fits the book ..see what I mean? Any way have a good weekend and hope the events go well.
