The Button
This story- which I had intended to be REALLY REALLY short and funny and quirky- eventually became a little longer. And a lot less funny. But this is it.

Brand New Powers:
I'm an etherbeing. They're from my story. Basically, I can manipulate energy.
I can do things humans can't. Superspeed, teleporting, healing, and firing lasers out my hands: that's mostly it.
My teleporting is a misnomer - it's a bit like supersuperspeed.
I can heal and wounds I have, but I can only heal other people if I've memorised their atomic structure. A blind healing can go terribly wrong.
I can actually fire lasers out of any part of me, but hands are easiest. My lasers can be of varying intensity.
However, there is a catch. All these abilities take energy.
I can abosrb electrical energy and use that; although it takes me a while to absorb a wothwhile amount. I usually keep one or two energy sticks - sticks filled with electrical energy - with me at all times.
The best other place to get enery is ethermelt. Which is a dangerous substance. I don't use it much. More on that later, I hopes.
Moving faster than average doesn't take up much energy. However, most everything else is quickly exhausting.
Therefore, I mostly don't use my powers. It's easier.
Can I use my energy-absorbing abilities to cure tiredness? Yes! But it's artificial, and leaves you feeling odd, often hyper, sometimes unwell, plus it's easy to get back to exhaustion. Sleep is still the best cure for tiredness. :)
