But, idk. I think of Christmas music like I do any other kind of music, I guess. Except that it only comes around, in general, once a year, in big waves of singing and playing and people and enjoyment.
ANd it's everywhere and everywhere and everywhere for a month, but, idk. I figure that it's here and that's not changing, and people are enjoying themselves, so... why make it a problem. Kind of.
I just- *shrugs* I take it like any other music you'd hear playing around in the world out there. But with more people enjoying it, even though they're also annoyed by it, if that makes sense.
But, that's me, I guess. :P / :)

What's everyone doing for Christmas?
@Taia: That is pretty great. :) There are positives for every negative.
@Adra; Ugh. I've said it before, but if I have a food/drink every day, I start disliking it. Stupidly, I do have the same breakfast every day, and what I do is I have it until I don't like it any more, and then I switch to something new. After I've had something new for a while, I can switch back, because I like it again. :)
I had apple juice every day for years because I was too scared to ask for something different, and then I went for years without liking apple juice. :(
I like it now, though. :)
My point is . . . uh . . . *doesn't really know what my point was*

I discovered at our concert the other day, though, that I can like Christmas songs that I usually dislike when they're sung by girls I know in the rock choir, which was run by a sixth former, but then she left, and these girls have been meeting up and practising all on their own all term, and they've been trying so hard to make this song good, and then they sing it, and they don't have microphones, and you can barely hear some of it, and I'm just smiling because love and goodwill, you know?
And I've stated before that it's not what songs you like, it's how you like them.
Because maybe I dislike Christmas music, but if someone really loves it because of the reasons Taia says, then I'll kind of smile in a that's-beautiful fashion and agree with them, because even though I might not like it, I can see why they like it, and . . . and it's sort of a different thing. Like . . . the actual sound is irrelevant. It's just vibrations. What makes it a song is what people get out of it. Like how a song is just sound until you have words, and then it has meaning. And it's what the person is trying to communicate through the lyrics and what you pick up out of it, and none of that is vibrations, that is intention and communication and magic.
And some people see a song one way, which is totally different to how I see it, and I really like their vision of it, so I like the song that they like, but I don't like what I get out of the vibrations because I'm not picking up on the magic.

And it's like with One Direction. Some people don't like them, and Mara loves them, and it's because they're seeing two entirely different things. One person is seeing this annoying boyband, and Mara is seeing the amazing people she knows, and I did start to say what was amazing, but I'll leave that to her because I can't put it in one sentence. :P And they're seeing two entirely different things.
It's like with friends. I mean, you go around school and you see all these girls you don't know that well, and once my friend C was one of those people. And now when I look at her, I don't see her face, I see the person she is, I see her story and her height comments and her joints being stupid and coming out of their sockets/getting stuck in awkward positions, and I see her ranting, and I see her talking metaphorical conversations, and I see her in science and I see her getting so nervous about tests, and I see all the things that make her HER that I can't put into words, and when I look back in my memories and see the girl who was a friend of this other girl who I didn't really know, I don't recoginse her, because she looks totally different in my memories to the way I see her now. And when I look at her face in my memories, I see her face, and I don't see all that personality behind it. And when you know people, you see them around school loads. And often I notice the albino girl or the boy in a wheelchair. I can tell you about everyone in our school in a wheelchair, actually. And there's all those nameless faces who are just this crowd you don't know, and you actually see them every day, but you don't remember their faces. And if one of them was in a wheelchair, you would suddenly see them all the time, but as they aren't, you don't see them, because you don't notice them, because you don't have anything to put behind their faces and they're just another face.

FOr Christmas? I imagine I'll do what we usually do. Wake up, open presents, go to church, come back, put the lunch on . . . my granddad always comes over for lunch, and we have Christmas dinner and that, and in the afternoon ("in the afternoon then maybe we'll talk/I'll be exhausted so I'll probably sleep/Then we'll get a Chinese and watch TV"), we do Christams-present stuff. If we've just got a Wii Game/Wii (we only got a Wii once, because now we have a Wii, but . . . :P), we play that, and usually I get a Sequin Art (I put it on my list this year, as well :)), so I usually do that. :)
And on Boxing Day, we go to my grandma's, and exchange presents, and stuff. :) :) :)
And we never see my mum's brother because we never see him. We've been inviting him over for a whole year and they haven't been to our house once. -_-
And we never see my dad's family, because his parents are dead and the rest live a few hours away, on the other side of the country (lol, England is so small. :P)

What I was going to segue into with the 1D thing was how... There’s something to be said about all of those things that make a person who they are, and how you have no idea until you begin to know that person.
Like, when Star said how you don’t recognise a person who you don’t know, because you don’t know them, and...
Okay, another Little Prince quotation-section because the words are better there I think.

Like, Motion City Soundtrack, with ‘Antonia’, where all of these little quirks are just listed through the entire song, “She’s always eating Captain Crunch/She sings a lot of Ben Folds Five/She’s scared to death of cobra snakes/Just like Indiana Jones” and I think it’s interesting how the song is not about one person in particular, but it is, but it isn’t. It’s made up of little pieces of other human beings who exist, like “she makes a lot of abstract art” and that’s his sister, or the line about the snakes, which is there because MCS’ (now ex-)drummer has a thing about snakes. And it’s all of those tiny pieces of other people that sound almost dumb and not really worth mentioning but you put them all together and you’ve got this totally unique individual.
And it’s like those are what make up people, and you don’t know until you do.
I don’t know where I’m going with this but I just had to get the rest of that outta me.

MCS made a game, actually
It was a dumb idea which led off of a little thing which happened in a music video ended up like "Hey, let's MAKE the 8-Bit video game, that'll be cool. Very short and admittedly not really very great. :P
And it wouldn't make much sense without having seen the music video it was made because of... But if you won the game, you'd win a download for an 8-bit style version of the song, which was kind of sweet. :)
I expect Avenged Sevenfold's one could be better, pretty easily, on many levels. :P

I am still so happy that I figured that phrase and it's been nearly a MONTH.
It's such a FC-y phrase, and maybe it's dumb being that happy over three words but Slow down, radial arm saw serenade and it's like this REVELATION and clarity and it's such a perfect phrase because it just is and yes. I don't know how to say the thing.

Safe? They always stress to never go outside of my boundary... I know where my limits are, and they know that too.
And I feel like we've had this debate before... I don't want to hurt people, and neither do the others. It's not only a very good stress and emotional release, but if I'm ever attacked, I know what to do.
But each to their own opinion. We're different people. We think differently. :)
And thats why I hate the thought of people learning to fight. Why? What can possibly drive one to want to learn how to hurt people? I can't stand that type. Its your opinion. To me if I'm in a situation I'm going to do something but I don't think lessons on fighting is going to help me. I mean whats the odds anything I learn will come in handy? Or if I rememer? Plus my pain tolerance is zilch so even if I wanted to I wouldn't be able to. I'm not the violent type or the type to have attention to really learn to fight because I have trouble watching. If I'm shown something I'm less likely to figure it out

I've gotten a lot out of my Hapkido class.
It's maybe not "fighting" the way you're thinking of it, and it's nothing like what Ari does, though I have acquired several methods of sending people to the floor.
Some people came to the class with the expectation of kick-punch-kapow, but the teacher doesn't emphasize that at all. It's more about not hurting people, actually. Like, getting out of dangerous situations without hurting that people. Actually, I've come home from that class injured a lot less than I have from dance.
