My editor Nick came over for it, so we were chatting about the Tanith novella and he reckons it needs only the barest of edits. What does that mean for you guys? It basically means it'll stay at around the 54,000 word mark and I won't have to cut anything out. Apart from, apparently, all those mentions of Tanith in a bikini. I sincerely don't see the problem. It's not like I have her running around nekkid or anything.

@Zaf: That is so stereotypical. That's like saying you don't like anything historical, or like saying you don't like anything set in the future. We've had lots of different movies about the future in LOADS of different genres, and just because you watched a few that you didn't like . . .
And it depends how historical things are set. Sometimes they can all be speaking in old English or whatever, and that might put you off. But then you have things like Merlin (which is sort of historical ish? I'M JUST USING MY BEST EXAMPLE) when it's just one of the most fabulous things you have ever watched, and like . . . yeah. *shuffles*

Just out of interest, what don't you like about Sherlock Holmes? Because I find that a psychopath - sorry, high-functioning sociopath - is a rather interesting character to have. Then again, I always thing the insane characters are the best; but you like Niccolò and you made your own character a tad insane to make her interesting - you like insane characters too, don't you?

I think you should just try an episode, Zaf. Then make a decision. I don't think it would be fair to class everything Sherlock in the same category just because of -what I'm guessing- one bad experience.

Plus the others are great tooooo. :) Don't make me detail it), and they have really good relationships, and the plotlines are incredibly well-done (Moffat writes a third of the episodes. :P And the others are good matches for him, put it that way :)) and have lots of unexpected twists, and . . . it's really clever (like, really) and funny and, you know, THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS and also THE WAY SHERLOCK THINKS (the words on the screen, the memory palace).

That was very good, Fabi. It, similar to some other writings that you have made, was very raw to me, and there was a hint of desperation in there that really connected with me, as a reader. I liked how you made it in the "question" style as well.
