I really really really wanted to meet her and she was RIGHT THERE in front of me but then I was called away for a photo, and then there were a few people who wanted napkins signed, and when I looked around again she was gone. My editor Nick came over for it, so we were chatting about the Tanith novella and he reckons it needs only the barest of edits. What does that mean for you guys? It basically means it'll stay at around the 54,000 word mark and I won't have to cut anything out. Apart from, apparently, all those mentions of Tanith in a bikini. I sincerely don't see the problem. It's not like I have her running around nekkid or anything.

Blogland has changed. It's no longer the tight-knit family we were this time last year. It's a place if role play now. And that ain't me. I'm not one for role play. I just wanted to say that, recently, we've been talking more than actively role-playing.
We have thought about having a blog for just that, but it wouldn't be blogland, would it? It wouldn't be the same.
I actually recall that, when I first came here, there was a lot of blogfighting going on. Blogland hasn't really changed from that. It's always been a part of it, because people have a chance to write, show their writing, admire that of others, and some have it as a chance to be someone that they can't.
So yeah, RPing is a thing, but so is talking, and sometimes there's more talking than the other, and sometimes there's more rping than the other. That's how the tides of the world work.
Meh.
I probably shouldn't post this, because, quite frankly, this conversation has been had too many times...
But yeah, a lot of people aren't even on because of school and being tired from it, and other things.
*Shrug* We generally start something up if it's going pretty slow for a day, and if there's a few people on doing nothing, it's usually to just read something and do your best to entertain them.
It certainly isn't what it was this summer...
Actually, I had a dream last night that I was on the blog, but, since it was a dream, I lacked control of EVERYTHING.
So
I was on, on my phone, and everyone was on, including my old friends who have since moved on with their lives, and it was about 200 comments a minute because everyone was so excited to see each other, and I couldn't comment because it wouldn't let me.

Rewatching Spy Kids 3- I haven't seen it in years- and there's this scene where they figure out this girl isn't real, and then the maker of the game speaks through her and she looks so shocked, and I just realized how sad it is. I never thought about it before, but it's so sad how she really has no control over who she is. In the game she starts to develop her own personality, and a relationship with one of the other players, and then at the end he runs his hand right through her and it just stings so much. She's such an underutilized character, though. Like, I could write a novel just about her.

It's like this song Hatsune Miku sings- she's part of a computer program called vocaloid that sings songs. So if you wrote a song, you could have a computer generated voice sing it. He used to be really annoying. Really, really annoying. It's like . .. when I went ice skating today, I fell over. It was a rather spectacular fall - I felt myself falling, skidded on the spot in a demented jerky circle and then fell down. :P
Then I stood up, and then I couldn't stop laughing, and then I skated to the side and was just laughing my head off, and then I was in a good mood for a bit so I'm glad I fell over, and, like . . . is it normal to get really happy after negative emotion?
I suppose crying releases happy endorphins and that, but still. :P
I'm just sort of pondering by this point, it's fine. :)

That's what I do with interesting thoughts, you know. I mostly try to remember them so I can add to my bank of information and build views around them . . . I don't really think on them at the time. :P

When I type questions into Google, I have to make sure the language I'm using is simple (really simple. Like, 'wrong' instead of 'incorrect') so the search suggestions and results pick up on me and I'm just like WHY.
