For those of you who have read KOTW, first of all, I'm glad you seem to be liking it, but I'm going to have to ask you to be careful. And for those of you who haven't read it- which is the vast majority of you- I'm going to have to ask you to be EXTRA careful. There are spoilers all over the place, on forums and Facebook pages and Tumblr...
The heartening thing is that these spoilers don't pop out of thin air. Everything is tagged with spoiler warnings, which I really appreciate. But I know you lot. I know how impatient you can be. I know that if you're on a forum and you come to a post that's hidden behind a spoiler warning, and all it takes is one little click... I know how tempting it is to just sneak a teeny tiny peek...
Which could ruin the entire book for you.
We have, what, 35 days until it's widely available? That's a lot of days for mistakes to be made, or for something to slip out...
So be careful. I was never a fan of releasing this book so far in advance of the Ireland/UK date but I was convinced it was necessary in order to facilitate the tour. If it doesn't work out, it won't be happening again. I don't know what that would mean for any future Down Under tours, but I'll deal with that if it crops up.
So, I want to thank everyone for behaving themselves as far as spoilers go, and ask that they continue to be very, very careful about what they say.
And also, some of those spoilers (of which I am allowed to read, because, y'know, I wrote the book) and your reactions to them have made me grin...

Tell me what you think of the below anyway. It's what I've got so far of Rebellion chapter three:
“SAPPHIRE!!!” The shout rippled through Sapphire’s layers of consciousness, jolting her out of her trance. There was a millisecond of time in which she felt panicked before BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the mind of a human, the explosion would have been a muddled blur occurring at the speed of lightning – but for Sapphire, it was in slow motion. She felt herself being jerked off the seat and saw the car ripping into pieces around her. She was ripped into pieces as well. It was as if the cells in her body were being stretched, pulled right apart.
Argh! AAAAAAAAARRRGGHHH!! Stop it! STOP IT! Make it STOP! Make it stop make it stop make it stop, no, no make it STOP!!! She felt herself screaming inside, yelling and gasping and shrieking, but she couldn’t hear it – all she could hear was the pain, all she could feel was the pain, there was just the pain and it was everywhere, she couldn’t get away from it and she couldn’t stop it and AAAAAAAARRGGH!!! And everything was blue, harsh stabbing roaring blue flaring up around her and OWWWW!!! Make it stop!!!! . . . !!!!! . . . . . . . .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... The roaring, the screaming, it all faded, and the blue washed over her, dragging her down into unconsciousness.

When Sapphire woke up she knew immediately that she was high up, far away from the ground. Sky was directly above her. She was lying on a hard surface and was in a city, judging from the noises of traffic and smell of pollution. Also, she could tell she’d just finished healing herself.
Sapphire just lay on her back for a while, recalling what had happened. They had been driving away in that car, hadn’t they? Then Marigold had shouted, and . . . What had occurred then? Marigold must have blown up the car. Just the kind of idiotic thing she would do.
Sapphire sat up and looked around her. She was on the flat roof of a large, tall building. Below it she could see houses, cars, shops, the usual things, stretching off in every direction. Marigold was standing by the edge of the roof with her back to Sapphire, one hand on her sword hilt and the other hanging loosely by her side. Her long, red-orange hair was blowing in the breeze, but other than that, she could have been a vividly realistic statue.
Until she turned around, that is.
“You idiot!” Marigold glared.
Sapphire blinked. “Excuse me?”
“You idiot. You didn’t glamour yourself!”
“How could I have glamoured myself when I was unconscious?”
“Exactly!”
“Exactly?”
“Exactly! You were unconscious! You faded out and left me to do everything!”
“By ‘everything’, I assume you mean ‘clear up the mess you produced? Why did you blow up the car? You almost killed us both and were close to endangering us all!”

I first read Skulduggery in May 2010... I was a little fifth grader back then. And then I read it again in September, then again in October, and ALAKAZAM, I became obsessed and waited till Christmas to get Dark Days and Mortal Coil, which I read in a day each.

The Faceless Ones I just bought no ocasion. KOTW is ending up being part of my I cant wait til Christmas list. I begged my parents so I pre ordered KOTW since my family member in Germany couldnt get over to England in time for it to come reasonably.

Here is my Sadistica Tortura short story:
Valkyrie groaned, and sat up. "I told you it was a trap," she said. "No, you said it looked like it was a trap," Skulduggery corrected. "That's completely different." He helped her up as a door opened behind them and Sadistica Tortura walked through, an unsettling smile on her lips. “Hello, fools” Tortura said, chromium green and cobalt blue cloaks billowing with the cool breeze that drifted through the castle like tendrils and wisps of a long dead ghost. Her accent was a strong Scottish one, her hair a disturbing bright pink. “Who are you?” Skulduggery asked, straightening up in a crimson red fez that stuck up from his head awkwardly. “Why I'm the one who kills you.” She replied with a smirk. Valkyrie spoke next. “Why does everyone say that? I've seen Skulduggery tortured, disassembled, seen him face dark gods bent on humanity. He has yet to be killed by any of them.” “Oh my,” Tortura responded. “but you forget, I'm an insane psychopath. Besides, what have I got to loose?” she added with a small laugh. Suddenly, Tortura's face contorted into a face of concentration. framed by hot pink hair, it was an odd sight indeed. Valkyrie levitated into the air as small, painful looking cuts criss-crossed her body and face. The cuts glowed, as if being burned from the inside out. Tortura giggled merrily at the sight. Sadistic Torture was fitting for this particular woman indeed. Skulduggery leapt from his position and sent a killer right hook into her jaw. Tortura was sent sprawling, as Skulduggery pulled out his revolver. “Run” he said, his voice stern. Sadistica Tortura, the woman of Sadistic Torture, ran as she laughed. Valkyrie dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes, she moaned. “Valkyrie,” Skulduggery said “Let's do the usual thing, OK?” “What's the usual thing?” Valkyrie asked clumsily. “I go save the day, while you moan about being tortured by a sadistic, self proclaimed madwoman.” “You are such a...” “Splendid... Oh, and you're welcome” Skulduggery said, sprinting off to make chase. The corridors were dimly lit by torches burning furiously in brackets. Skulduggery ran up the staircase, walked casually out onto the roof. “This is your one and only chance, Tortura. Give up!” he yelled. “Now why would I do that?” she retorted, frowning. “I never got to ride away on my flying manatee.” Skulduggery laughed. “A flying manatee, that's just as ridiculous as me wearing a scarf!” He quietly mocked scarves in his mind. Valkyrie snuck quietly behind Tortura, used the air to push her off the side of the castle. As she fell to her presumed death, Sadistica Tortura smiled and waved. “An odd woman.” Skulduggery remarked. “An odd woman indeed.” “And a very odd hat, too.” Valkyrie commented as she manipulated the air around it, brought it above Skulduggery's head. She hurled a fireball, and it exploded. “My hat!” Skulduggery cried. “Your welcome.” Valkyrie replied sarcastically. Beyond them, a manatee with beautiful, silver wings floated silently away.
