Again, this is set before I know Nix too well.
I sat in the cell. Blue light flashed around the steel bars and I felt my magic being restricted. God damn goal, I thought. Suddenly I heard footsteps in the corridor beyond and, if I strained my ears, the jangle of keys. I knew what to do, after using this ploy before. I bit my lip and brought tears to my eyes and quickly made fake sobs.
The steps stopped outside and I could tell the person was curious. They hesitated a few moments (I kept up the sobs) then the latch clicked and the person I didn't expect walked in.
Nixion Strange stopped in front of my cage and looked in at me. "What's wrong with you?" he sanpped the question.
I looked up at him, putting hurt on my face. "You wouldn't understand." I snapped back. I brought my arm along my eyes in a big movement, when it was extended I grabbed the keys and quickly concealed them in my fist.
"I can tell the sobs aren't real." he said.
My arms fell to my sides and I glared up at him. "Screw you."
"What?!"
I looked at the other side of the cage, ignoring him.
"Are- Are you ignoring me now?" he asked.
I continued looking in the other direction.
Nixion sighed and left grumbling.
As soon as the door had clicked I unlocked the cage and got out. "Loki'd." I said with a smile.

I woke and instantly felt the stabbing in the right of my stomach. I pressed my hand to it and found blood was still seeping from the wound. A group had now assembled around me. One man was dialling his phone, probably to phone an ambulance. I got up shakily, pain coursing through my body with every movement. One woman gasped as I got up and another said I should lie back down.
I didn't listen and looked at the top of the building in front of me. Seventeen floors up I could see four figures. I knew what I had to do and I didn't care who I had to hurt to get it done.
The woman who old me to lie back down placed a hand on my shoulder. I reached out and broke the bones within with a tap. She screamed and clutched the mass of to her chest. I felt the shadows swirl around my bracelet, they were also attempting to fix my wound but it wasn't going too well. I pictured the top of the building and allowed the shadows to take me there. I saw a few startled looks but they were replaced by the top of the building.
Nixion was fighting with Spectre while the two thugs tried to nurse broken bones. I grabbed my bow from where it had fallen to the floor and hit both thugs with the back and broke their spines to be sure.
I was creeping up on Spectre when Nix saw me and his eyes widened. This caused Spectre to hesitate and then he turned and looked at me.
"You!" he growled. "How can you still be alive?! I threw you off a building!"
"Oh, you know. Deep breath in, out and so on." I said and punched his nose. I heard a crack and blood spurted from the sides. I started to circle Spectre then I brought my elbow up and it would have connected with his jaw if Nix hadn't beat me to it and tackled him to the floor.
He placed both hands on the sides of the man's neck and I heard a grinding sound and a loud crack followed by a scream and, finally, silence.
Nix got up and looked down at the pulp that was Spectre.
"Thanks for catching me." I said, standing next to him.
"No problem." he said then looked at me, his brow creasing. "Did you shadow walk up here?"
I nodded and bit back the pain. "Yeah, but it feels like I left my insides down there." I said.
"Are you gonna be okay?" he asked.
Stupid question, I thought. I shook my head and, now the adrenaline had ebbed away, pain swarmed from the bullet hole again making me draw a sharp breath. I could see the blood starting to flow quickly again, it seemed that fighting with a bullet hole in your side wasn't a good idea.
He placed his arm round my shoulders and I gratefully leaned on him. God I must look weak, was my last thought before I fainted. Again.
