Which nearly made me step out and rip her hair out when another one said:
'And she's always freaking out about that stupid book series... Skulduggery Pleasant. Sounds like garbage.'
Which made me super mad. And then one said:
'She was yelling about a thing she did in the holidays, about, like, a competition or something. God, she's so conceited.'
That really hurt...

My legs kick into gear, and suddenly I’m blurring down the corridor, away from-

I slap my forehead and keep running. I get too distracted. I turn a corner and hit a dead-end.
‘Oops.’

‘Right, yeah.’ I turn and run back again looking for another exit. I turn left and sprint down the new corridor. I see an exit sign overhead.
‘Idiots.’
Morons.
‘Too right.’
Keep going.
‘Of course.’ I sprint forwards and look up. Doorway. Excellent. I aim at the door with my shoulder and slam into it. The doors crash open and I tumble out of the facility. I straighten out and claw at the grass to stop myself from rolling over the crest of the hill.
‘Ow…’ I say, getting up and rubbing the back of my head. A siren goes off behind me.
You aren’t done yet.
‘I know, I know!’ I dash down the hill and skid to a stop at the bottom. There is a huge wall. I run along the wall looking for a gate. I found one. It had to be four metres tall at least. Oh, and they were closed.
‘Great.’ I mumbled.

‘Think, think!’ I hit my head over and over, trying to get an idea.
