Well now... this IS interesting.
As you may or may not know, I’m heading over to Edinburgh on the 15th of August for the Book Festival. It’s a big festival, one of the best-known in the world, and I’m happy to be a part of it. Some of you from this Blog are going, and a few weeks ago one of you asked if Death Bringer would be available to buy on the day. I laughed, shook my head in a wise sort of way, and gently told the lad that no, it will not be available, and that he’d have to wait a further two weeks like everyone else. The start of September, I said, is when it will be unleashed. Not even the legendary Edinburgh Book Festival will get my publishers to change their mind about THAT.
Ahem.
And so I must backtrack, and eat my words, and announce that yes indeedy, Death Bringer will be available to buy at the Edinburgh Book Festival...!
We’re releasing it two weeks early so that the readers who attend the event can be the first to get the book signed- but there are some rules.
Rule Number One: The book will ONLY be available to buy for FOUR HOURS on the 15th. Once those four hours are up, the remaining books will be packed up and hidden away until the proper release date.
Rule Number Two: Those who DO attend and who DO buy the book must swear a solemn oath to NOT divulge ANY spoilers, not matter how much others may beg. ESPECIALLY not the twist in the middle!
Rule Number Three: Do not talk about Fight Club.
Over the next few days we’ll be putting up various things on the Skulduggery website and Forums and Facebook pages with more details about what’s going on, ticket information, things like that. For those of you who can go, the chance to get the book early is pretty cool. For those of you who can’t go... well... at least you’ll only have another two weeks to wait...

our car broke down in the middle of the highway a few months ago, so we took my grandparent's car. My mom said that she would've fixed it up and kept driving it if the ac wasn't broken. Not that that will happen to your truck, I'm just trying to think of everything I know about cars.
LOL. The truck is already borrowed. Um, hopefully Anndrew will be able to figure out what's wrong. He knows more about cars than I do. His dad actually taught him some stuff. My parents aren't really do-it-yourselfers.
I should have stayed in auto shop class instead of dropping it for another art class in high school.
my dad tried to teach me how to change the oil and stuff when i was 6, but then my sister stuck in hand in the antifreeze....
she was fine, but my dad decided not to let us near the insides of cars anymore.
6 seems a little young, anyway. 12 would be good.
So, how are you different now than you were a year ago?
okay, so last year, I really, really, really hated myself. As in, staring at the mirror for hours thinking about how much I hated my body. Then I extended it to hating how stupid and annoying and just a generally awful person who I would never want to be around I was. It would get so bad that it would be all that I could think about sometimes. I had friends, but we didn't have any connection at all, we just went through the motions together (I don't know if that makes any sense). No one had ever really liked me, so when Pepper started being nice to me, I followed her around like a puppy. She said some really awful things that I didn't agree with, but I didn't want to lose her and feeling liked/loved, so I didn't say anything.
Oh. :-( *hugs* You seem less insecure now. I'm glad. That's an awful way to feel.

*hugs* thank you for asking, by the way. That was really hard, but I'm glad that I got it out. I still hate myself most of the time, but I stopped obsessing over it. And no, you don't. I'm way less terrified of that online, I think because I don't have to see them again if I don't want to.
OK. You can tell me if you think I said something horrible, though... except about 2 days per cycle when I'm cranky and contrary. LOL

I have a secret plan. You see, I can't go, because I live in California. But my dad, he lives in London. So I just sent him an email begging him to drive 7-9 hours to pick up a book for me signed by my favorite author. Masterful I tell you, masterful.
