So why am I posting, you ask? Am I looking for sympathy? Pffft. I need NOT your sympathy. Sympathy is for the WEAK. I post, not to share my woes, but to share my joys.
Book 6 is finished.
I have emailed it to my editor and agent, and it is currently printing out for Laura, and I now have a few days to recover from my illness before I read back over it and spot where it can be improved. At the moment, it's a long one, about 10,000 words longer than Mortal Coil. Whether it'll keep that word count after the rewrite, I don't know.
But it's done.

3) Why is the book series called Skulduggery Pleasant because right now it seems to be more about Valkyrie than Skulduggery, as you reread the books you tend to notice that as the books go on there is more situations in which Val is the one in trouble or turning into a killing mechine not Skulduggery although we do see him get sucked into another demension and he gets tourtured so much he thinks he is holoucinating when Val saves him but we never really SEE what is happening when Skulduggery was in other deminsion. He was in there for 11 months yet we dont see what truley happened to him we just know he was tourtured.
4) can you post a chapter of the new book?!

awww derek hope you get better soon!!! damn book 6 is gonna be pretty long. but as i always say the longer the better......hmm..actually i've never said that but..yeah!! i cant wait for book 6 its the only thing im looking forward to.. that (and hopefully if you do one near where i live) one of your book signings!!!!!! oh and i cant wait for the new harry potter movie!! =P lol!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey derek have you ever read the hunger games?? if you havn't READ them NOWWW!!!!! they're soooo amazingly good and damn awesome(just like your books)i know you'll love them sooo...... READ THEM NOW!!!!
