Hello there.
Sorry for the delay- I was hauled into hospital last week and have only just got out. I'd never been sick before, so it was a whole new and thoroughly dull/painful/annoying experience for me, one that I hope I never repeat. I'm still not recovered, so it'll be a few days before I resume normal service, but I know how much my Minions need their chatting space- so chat away...!

Life outside of school isnt as free as people assume, its right now that we are free, we barely have to make any serious decisions, our only true responsibility is school, we practically have everything given to us, we are well-fed and housed, we practically have everything at this age, and yet we cant wait to shrug it off for a world of pressure and stress? A bit silly if you ask me...

Ill be 24 in 2019, and the family thing completely depends on what happens, if it does it does i guess...
But the job will always be there, even supporting yourself is hard unless you get extremely lucky in your early twenties and get a high-paying job, or internship to get into a job, or anything like that

Hey, im just saying not to get your hopes up, keep optimistic but dont put so much effort into it that you'll exhaust yourself for nothing if it doesnt pan out, no-one can predict the future or plan for it with complete effectiveness, so why try for no reason...Its still VERY early, so you might as well leave it, at least for now, i know your probably excited about it already, but its 8 years away. No need to get that excited :)

3 years? Only if you're lucky. I decided not to go to university, but to find a job first. Since they shortend Gymnasium from 13 to 12 years, in my year are twice as many pupils as usual. All of them will try to find work/ a place in a university. So I decided to first find a work to earn a living, and maybe later go to university.

Haha university here is different, the course im interested in doesnt have any prerequisites or score requirements or anything, and the most common course length is 3-4 years full-time study here :D

Over here we have two kinds of after-school-learning-institutions: Hochschulen (would translate as high-school, but is different from what you call highschool) and Universitäten (universities). You can do a bachelor on both, but a master only on universities.
“Black’s Circus,” was scrawled on a large sign placed in front of the entrance, “come and be amazed.” I took one look at the sign, and stepped through the entrance, the cloth doors flailing behind me. A woman was sat on a stool in the centre of the tent, enrobed in a scarlet cloak. Her black hair tumbled onto her shoulders and around her pale neck.
“Amelie Gibson,” her voice was silky, yet cold and slightly clipped, “it is good to see that you have arrived. The master is expecting you. Please wait quietly by the stands whilst I inform him of your arrival.” She strode towards some other doors which I could only assume led to a dressing room of some form.
“The master? Expecting me? And how do you know my name?” I called after her.
