A few days ago, I got a brand new niece to add to my collection. Little Clara can now join the twins as they scuttle along the floor, with their cousin Sophie looking on with great amusement.
And as I promised, Valkyrie's brand new sibling will be following suit- so Val is getting a little sister. Yay!

hehe Aislinn is the name of a character in one of the books I'm writing (I'm a fantasy writer as well), but I have seen it around in other places; not common, but rare enough to be interesting. Funny thing is, the books seem to come out earlier here (Australia) than in the UK. Last year I was at work (in a major retail store) about a week before Mortal Coil was due to be released, and I got put in the book section. Imagine how I 'squeed' when I saw it already on the shelves :D

I'm a uni student (doing my thesis in IT this year with a focus on eBooks and their interaction methods) so I don't get a lot of time to read fiction, meaning that I tend to only go for books I know I'll love. Along with the next Skulduggery Pleasant book, the final book in Michael Pryor's steampunk fantasy series (the Laws of Magic) is coming out this year as well. I just know that the week each of these books are released, I'll be getting no research done :) Still, I'm hoping that during this year's NaNoWriMo I'll get a first draft of my dark fantasy novella completed, and then I'll sell it and make millions and never have to work again! MWAHAHA! (that's how it works, right?... Right? No? Well, I can dream...)
