Sorry for the title of this post, I just wanted to make sure that none of you start believing a story that's been reported in the papers saying that Johnny Depp is going to play Skulduggery. This is, to say the least, not true. The movie rights are back with me for the moment- meaning they aren't attached to any studio. Basically, I'm far too busy with Book 6 to even consider a Skulduggery movie right now. But who knows when I'll have news for you?
(And just to make sure, that was NOT a sly way of hinting at upcoming news, because there IS no news! None!)

And Valkyrie stood there helplessly. She too was rendered immobile. Black mist spread over her body. Pain flooded through every nerve, every fibre. Her eyes bulged and she screamed. The last thing she heard was...

Thanks, Derek. I'm glad Johnny Depp isn't playing Skulduggery (as far as we know). That would seem cheap. Johnny is so well known and so sexy to so many people, and he would be the most obvious choice for Skulduggery and the most obvious way to get people to see the movie. And truth is, the most obvious is usually not the best. When you search for and work at finding an actor, you have a better chance of finding the right one, it seems like. And it feels like Johnny would turn the movie into a shallow pop-culture trend that relies on an actor instead of the story to get people to like it. And people would think Skulduggery was sexy just 'cause Johnny plays him and not because of how cool the character is, and...well, I dunno. That probably sounded stupid.
Rebella Tears, is Marti in Hellcats played by Aly Michalka? If so, I agree she'd make a good Tanith. I might have the same complaints about her if she was as famous now as she was back in the day, but it seems most people today don't know her or her music or her series anymore, so that's ok.
Not George Clooney for Skulduggery though. George Clooney is old and I have the same objections to him as to Johnny Depp.

People on here write SP fanfic. Me for instance. I'm kinda experimenting with different fanfic. I'm trying to do like 6 lol. At the moment I'm writing a Transformers one which hasn't gone very well. I don't know a lot about it so I just watched the Transformers films to enlighten my intelligence on characters, robots and combat moves. But STILL it isn't going well. It's really long though.

The Stig is cool. Professor Layton is a crappy ds game and the best Transformer is Blackout. Who died, twice.

I've created a new Transformer in my fanfic. I was planning on using Jazz for one of the main robots but I just decided to make up a new one.

The films were a bit weird. All the other robots got a HUGE battle when they die. In the first one Blackout threw a car through a shop window and then got killed by a SOLDIER on a MOTORBIKE. Then in the second one he got killed by the dumbass Optimus who smashed his face in. WHY? I killed OP on my DS. Well I didn't do anything. He fell in the sea for no apparant reason :S
His name is Skyline and he transforms into a white Porsche 911 GT3 RS. He has two blades he can use which come from his wrist and he's the most agile robot of them all :P

I watched the second Transformers the other day and I thought it was mintage! What magical attributes do you have in your fanfiction?

In MY SP fanfic I'm an Elemental.
Skyline sounds cool and that is a sweet ride you have chosen. I prefer to ride around in a Bentley or Lambo (not that I've evr ACTUALLY ridden in one)... but I like a Porsche too. : )

I'd rather David Tenant (I have his autograph!!! Sorry, but whenever I talk about him I have to scream about it, but I think it's a pretty decent thing to scream about. As things go anyway.) played Skulduggery anyway. I dunno why, but I think he would really suit the role.
As long as we get a movie eventually, but I'd rather have book six, and I'm sure everyone will agree!

I had to go on the DS with my sister. My mum FORCED me to. She actually WANTED to go on Transformers 2 player. Even though I was a police car and she was a plane. I STILL won.
Oh I still have every intention of reading ten pieces of fan fiction over the Christmas- I see it as a nice break from work...!
