Remember that little Book Trailer competition we launched a few months ago, with our friends at Waterstone's? Remember, we were looking for a minute-long ad to play in UK cinemas, promoting the books?
If you remember that, you may also remember the fact that we chose not one, but TWO winners- Liam Fitzpatrick and Danielle Drew- and combined their ideas to make the Best Thing Ever In The World ™.
Remember all that? Oh I AM glad. Because, drum roll please, the trailer is ready.
The reason that this was a “UK only” competition, and the reason the trailer will only be shown in UK cinemas (take a look on the blog tomorrow and there'll be a list), is simply because Waterstone's UK came to us with the proposal. But does that mean you minions living outside of the UK will never be able to see it? Pfffft. How unfair would THAT be? The fact is, we’re putting it online FIRST so that you, my faithful minions, will be able to devour it like the insatiable little zombie-readers that you are.
You’re going to need a bucket as you watch this, because your brain WILL melt. That’s an official health warning.

I have a riddle.
There was a girl who the most beautiful girl in the town. Her father worked for the King and one day he didn't come home. She went to the palace to see where he was and the prince said that he had imprisoned her father and would only set him free if she agreed to marry him. A maid who over heard this said that it wasn't fair and they should devise a way for her to choose more fairly. So the prince said that they would put a white stone and a black stone in the bag and if she picked out the black stone she had to marry him and if she picked out the white one her father would go free. She agreed to this but and said that she would stay the night at the palace. When she was going to bed she saw the prince put two black stones in the bag. How did she get out of marrying him?

That was a really awesome trailer. I liked the play on the word "dead". Skulduggery looked a bit too scary and evil though... It might just possibly, maybe, slightly off-put viewers who haven't previously read this amazing series. But overall--fantastic. Love the graphics. :)
