Behold the awesome!
On April 5th, in London, as part of my tour, we are offering a day at the movies, where I will be discussing the many movie influences that have shaped my life and, more specifically, that have shaped the Demon Road trilogy.
We are breaking the day into two halves.
At 1 PM, younger readers, accompanied by an adult, can go to the Picturehouse Cinema in London and experience 80's comedy-horror classic GREMLINS on the big screen...! It'll be my first time seeing it up there too — I've only ever seen this film on TV, so I am HUGELY excited.
Desolation will be available to buy, I'll be doing a Q&A, and signing whatever you have. It's going to be FUN.
And then we'll be repeating the format at 8:30 that night, when we'll be showing the original A Nightmare on Elm Street to a STRICTLY over-18 crowd...!
Again, I was too young to see this in the movies when it came out, and as one of my all time favourite horrors, I can't wait to see this in all its glory.

Naturally, anyone 18 or over can come to both movies and make a day of it — as I will be — but sadly the younger Minions can not savour the delights of Freddy Krueger — at least not until you're older...

@Jai: Nope! I was born in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. My sister was born in Zürich (think that's how you spell it) in Switzerland. And my brother was born in Ipswich in England.
My brother eternally insists I'm Dutch and it really pisses me off and he knows it so he keeps doing it . . . I'd love to be Dutch, I think it's a fabulous nationality, but the fact of the matter is I'm English. I was complaining to Cat about this one time and since then she's insisted I'm Dutch just to piss me off too.

For international relations, if a baby is born in another country, and the parents are not citizens thereof, and they then go back to their home country, the baby is not of the country they were born in, legally.

But yeah whatever. Like. I mean. My nationality is officially British on like official documents abd things. But I'm hesitant to use that as proof because pieces of paper should not define you. It doesn't matter where I was born or what my passport says. I'm English, I'm grew up here, it's my country, and no matter what anyone says I will always feel like an English person. If I lived anywhere else, I'd feel like a foreigner.

And it actually depends on countries and things. My parents tell me that because they were both British and they were married, I was considered British because of laws. Of they'd not been married, I'd be Dutch.
But I know tons of people at school who are like officially Canadian or whatever even though I don't think they've ever lived there, just because they happen to be born there. I think it depends on the countries.

I'm astounded by how many people who haven't known.
At the National Convention, the Republican Party does not have to choose the primary candidate with the most delegates.
Basically, if the Convention wants, they can make John McCain their presidential candidate, or Paul Ryan, or something.
Oh I know, I'm saying you really only have a choice of Trump as canidates go.
The Convention they'll screw themselves if they don't pick Trump but he will be the nominee IF he reaches the delegate number prior to the convention.
Now if he comes super close they're fools to not pick him, as then they went against the wishes of those voting.

I don't think you should vote it you don't have a clue about politics . . . I personally believe it's best to educate yourself and vote. It doesn't matter what your gender is, it's just like, by voting you'Re having your say in how you want your life to be run and trying to have a say in what kind of world you want to live in. It's just gebrally a rather cool thing to be able to have influence on how your country is run,even if in a very very small way.

I was laughing at something I was reading, so my cousin started teasing me about laughing and I breathed in quickly to tell her why I was laughing and got some spit in my air pipe and I was coughing so much my eyes started tearing up.
I'm okay now, but when she asked if I was okay, I said in a strangled voice 'No, I'm not okay. I'm dying. It's my birthday and I'm dying.' Totally as a joke. Okay, so I was(yet again) laughing at something else I was reading on Pinterest and my cousin(a different one from earlier) asked what was so funny. So as I was explaining it, my iPod was being charged. I got the Hey Siri voice recognition thing on when it's connected to a power source and it thought it heard me say 'Hey Siri' and turned on.
WHEN I LOOKED IT THOUGHT I SAID 'IS SOUL A HOE' AND IT RESPONDED 'THAT'S NOT NICE'.

It is completely normal to need love and appreciation, it is fine to want to talk to people for support and compassion and empathy. Wanting someone to understand is normal. If that makes you terrible then we must all be monsters.
I know you hate yourself sometimes, and I know I don't understand because everyone experiences things differently and I can't claim to know what it is like for you only that I know that you dislike yourself. And I know that people saying they love you and that you're amazing doesn't exactly change how you feel because if it did then no one would have body image problems and that's just not true.
But all I can really do is assure you that in my eyes you are amazing, you have an awesome accent, you are creative and smart and a role model to me. You are beautiful, and you are skinny. You're so amazing and I hope one day you can believe that, but until then I hope I never stop reminding you of how amazing you are, because you deserve to know that.)
