Behold the awesome!
On April 5th, in London, as part of my tour, we are offering a day at the movies, where I will be discussing the many movie influences that have shaped my life and, more specifically, that have shaped the Demon Road trilogy.
We are breaking the day into two halves.
At 1 PM, younger readers, accompanied by an adult, can go to the Picturehouse Cinema in London and experience 80's comedy-horror classic GREMLINS on the big screen...! It'll be my first time seeing it up there too — I've only ever seen this film on TV, so I am HUGELY excited.
Desolation will be available to buy, I'll be doing a Q&A, and signing whatever you have. It's going to be FUN.
And then we'll be repeating the format at 8:30 that night, when we'll be showing the original A Nightmare on Elm Street to a STRICTLY over-18 crowd...!
Again, I was too young to see this in the movies when it came out, and as one of my all time favourite horrors, I can't wait to see this in all its glory.

Naturally, anyone 18 or over can come to both movies and make a day of it — as I will be — but sadly the younger Minions can not savour the delights of Freddy Krueger — at least not until you're older...

He sort of dipped a bit in season five
It's like he's a graph for the affect of temperature on the rate of an enzyme-controlled reaction
He went up as the enzymes gained kinetic energy and reached his optimum temperature and then the enzymes started to denature and he dipped down a bit
Shhh it's late and I was up till one last night and I just did exercise so my brain is a bit addled

And to warn you, the beginning of season three is the most shit season ever, but the end of season three is brilliant so don't give up hope :)

Tbt: when I met Ari, I was looking around campus for a short black haired girl.
And because it was Yale, there were a lot of visiting Asian students, most of the males of whom had short black hair

*when she's inside he tackles her from behind and injects her with a syrum before she could fight back*

Alys: *struggles but the syrum was laced with a tranquilliser, so she becomes weaker*

*pulls his backpack on better, rolling his shoulders and setting off to find a place to make camp*

*his hair is all clumped together and stuck up at odd angles, the mud clay and silt having set*

Count: follow me: *hops down as a dog furry takes care of the horse*
Tresha: *okay*
*the timer goes a very very angry red colour*

Michael: *frowns at the dog furry and hesitantly follows*
Flauros: what now?
Count; you'll have a shower, hae new clothes and stay the night. You'll be waited on by our trainee *calls* foxy!
Alys; *steps out of the kitchen in furry form*
*weara a uniform and a cuff around her neck, showing that she is no more than an object*
+sees Michael and freezes*
*hopes he doesn't recognise her*
Tresha: *the inside of the snowglobe begins to change rapidly, from atlantis to tall mushrooms, with trees and hedges, vibrant colours*
*frowns, looking at it*

Michael: *frowns, recognizing the face but not quite managing to place it since he hasn't seen her in furry form before*

*Flauros unwittingly altered the sigils which formed the timer*
*she won't forget stuff, but her soul is rapidly being destroyed, sapping her of strengh and of health*

*looks at the underneath of the catcher, tilting her head at the sigils*

Michael: You might not have seen me but I've definitely seen you somewhere
Flauros; I I tried to break it *cradles tresha * help her...
Als; *shrugs*
Sil: *pinches the bridge of her nose, squinting at the sigils*
Right.. well you've erased what looks like something which destroyed memories but you've increased the time it destroys stuff in.. this is all very complex..
Michael: Speak.
Flauros; w what do we do?
Alys: *says quietly* y you need a shower
Sil: Ugh.. I need a scalpel.
Michael: *steps back, blinking*
Alys??
Inky: I have some! *goes to her bedroom table and pulls out a scalpel set*
Alys: *says nothing *
Sil: *takes the smallest, sharpest one*
*sits on the bed crossed legged and starts work deactivating the destruction sigils as quickly as she can*
Michael: Alys.. what happened?
Flauros; *cradles tresha tightly, crying*
Alys: *bites lip*
Sil: *ignores the crying, working as quick as she can without making bad mistakes that would actually kill her*
*mutters to herself about intricate trap work*
Michael: *closes the door*
*walks to the bathroom, turning the shower on*
*walks back*

Flautist; *kisses Tresha's face all over *
Alice: *flies around searching for tresha*
Alys: I I'll get in trouble...
Sil: *grumbles to herself*

Sil: *frowns at the cookies part*
I'm sure she won't hate you for eating her cookies.

Michael: *closes his eyes, focusing on controlling the mist*
*growls*

Flauros; *strokes Tresha's hair*
Alys: b bought in markets s similar t to the one I was at...
Sil: Aha!
*grins, eyes lighting up as the mist stops slowly disappearing*
Okay. Now just figure out how to remove her!
Michael: Looks like I'll be staying the night after all.
Flauros: h how do we do that?
Alys: l let me get you s some clothes.. *goes to the wardrobe*
Sil: I'm not sure of that part yet..
Michael: Okay.. I'm going to jump in the shower, don't worry.
Flauros; what shall we try?
Alys: w worry ?
Sil: Well.. presumably there's a way to remove the soul.. but that won't guide it back to her body.
Michael: I'm freeing you all tonigh.
*hugs her briefly*
*walks into the bathroom and jumps in the shower*
Flauros; so we need to guide it...
Alys: *is hugged and bkushes*
*doesnt get to speak before he goes in the shower*
Sil: Yeah. Or it'll float off.
Michael: *time skip till after he's washed?*
Flauros; even if we put it close to her
Alys; *okay*
*is waiting with fresh clothes*
Sil: Yup. Even then.
Michael: *gets out, clean, and grabs a towel*
*walks into the bedroom pressuming Alys isn't in there*
*hums, drying his back with the towel*
*spots Alys*
*wraps the towel around his waist*
Flauros; do you have any idea? Any at all?
Alys: I'm n not leaving *looks at floor*
Sil: I could carve a sigil onto her to direct her soul?
Michael: Okay.
*shrugs and goes back to drying himself with the towel*
*wraps it back around his waist when he;s dry*
Flauros: yes please... Anything...
Alys: so.. W where are you going now?
Sil: here should i carve kt?
Michael: *takes the clothes, getting dressed*

Sil: *is deathly focused*
*it takes about ten minutes but she's done*

*starts pressing and twisting seemingly randomly*
Michael: You honestly think I'm going to leave? Bullshit. This is wrong.

Flauros: okay...
Alys: *looks down* I better g go and prepare d dinner..
Sil: *Taps the sigil on Tresha*

*Taps lots of sigils very quickly and the mist shoots out of the base, swirling in a nervous clump*
Michael: Fine. You want to stay, stay. It's not my business.
Flauros: *holds tresha*
Alys; *mutters* fine *leaves swiftly and goes down to the kitchsn*
(Beep)
Sil: *watches the mist, glaring at it*
*the bottom is sucked towards Tresha, the top moves towards the roof*
Michael: *huffs*
Moron. This is why I don't make friends. They weaken you. She wants to stay, fine. I'm out of here by morning.
(Oh cow.)
Flauros: is it working?
Alys: *walks into the kitchen*
*the count is waiting for her*
Count: foxy, may I have a word outside?
*alys follows him to the dining area*
Count: *pulls her close* it's something about you fresh, new, young ones.. *strokes her thigh*
Alys : *whimpers*
Count: I'd treat you better if you just... *hand travels up her top*
Alys *slaps him* g get away!
Count: *snarls* why you little! *drags her to the basement *

Sil: she isn't very strong..
*some of the mist floats off*
*the rest is recovered*
*winces and curses Michael*
Michael: *folds the towel up and sets it down*
*walks down to the dining room*
Flauros: I'll take care of her..
*a tiger furry is setting the table*
Count. *whips alys repeatedly*
