I'm working hard. Writing fast. Deadline's looming. But while I work, other people have been working too, such as the awesome folks responsible for the covers...
And so, without further ado...

«Oldest ‹Older 2001 – 2200 of 4657 Newer› Newest»We've been planning it for months though! D:
@Effie: :) :)
(Actually, yes, it's only a joke if people find it funny. Jokes are only jokes because people find them funny.)
*rolls eyes*
I've used the internet before, believe it or not.
Fera, you should totally come to my school. You'd get on with so many people at my school. :P
well yeah, but you were talking as if you've only found out about it or something :P
@Starmageddon-Outta-Here Since you answered that one so quickly, what is the sound of one hand clapping?
are there a lot of meme lords there, star? :P
I don't find most memes particularly funny, but that doesn't mean I haven't heard of them. Jeez.
Anyway, nice meeting you.
*She throws a car at Fera--it will disappear before hitting him*
*Throws a chandelier-like formation of bananas at Star--again, it'll poof*
*Turns into Darth Vader and walks away, breathing loudly*
@Fera: I'm still not entirely sure what a meme IS.
No, at my school there's a lot of peple with a similar sense of humour to you who take interest in the same kind of things and tend to, like, speak in the same manner, and by that I don't mean grammar and such.
Oh, I give up on words. *looks back at drawing*
*looks up to Effie* No clue.
:) Bye, Effie.
*picks up pencil*
No, but i meant you didn't really get, that I was only saying it as a meme lord, not because i think his actual being is so graceful :P
Bye, nice meeting you.
I think i know what you mean, star? :P
Good, because I barely know what I mean. :P Bit out of it.
i think i may know more about what you mean than you do :P
@Fera: Maybe. :)
are you drawing?
(it just ended for us )
hello sav, and k :P
The point of going to the movies to see the Hunger Games, is to go hang out in a social environment, Aaron... Not to have you down-load it... And say that you haven't seen Part 2... Because that is what we are going to watch...
And who just decides to buy a violin because they can...?
really aaron...?
*Groans and does a thing*
Mockingjay was good, I saw it.
It is definitely on my list of things to see... That and the new Hotel Transylvania...
I never saw anything for Hotel Transylvania, but I suggest Mockingjay and I loved Crimson Peak but I don't know the rating by you, ours was rated R so only 17+ could go unless a parent is with you. I'm 17 almost 18 so I could go and wasn't asked to prove my birthday but that was back in November, early.
R over there is 17+? R is 18 and over, but only for really, really bad stuff... And Crimson Peak has either passed us, or hasn't been released yet...
Aaron is almost 20, so it would be pretty easy to see anything as long as he's around.
Yeah for you it would be, and I dunno why it wasn't released Down Under yet. Then again I live in the country with Hollywood so....Makes sense. Never went to a midnight showing though.
We're Australians. We have a different system to the rest of you guys. We just suddenly get movies without warning. For example, in my local cinemas, they are showing the Nightmare Before Christmas for no apparent reason... There was Beauty and the Beast last month....
We have gone to see the Hunger Games movie and gone to Frankie & Bennies every year since they've been coming out . . . so we did it this year, mote out of tradition than an actual desire to see the movie.
I enjoyed the movie.
We couldn't get over that Chinese baby though. :P
*spoilers for end of Mockingjay*
ZtkgkhrdmgyjcfkgjjhhnnjrdgklhhbbhjjnbgbnnnnnnnnjbbhhhNo right at the end Katniss and Peeta have a baby and it's fucking CHINESE. Like, Katniss, white America, and Peeta, white American, gave produced a CHINESE baby. What the fuck is that?!?!?
Catherine was just sat there at the back of the cinema saying "But it's Chinese!"
:P
It was as bad as the goat's cheese incident.
Spoiler over
((Spoilers continuing -
No right Katniss amd Peeta were livjng all in their own at the end of the world and a Chinese baby pops up??
The most LIKELY way this could have happened is if a random Chinese dude popped up in District 12 for a bit, Katniss cheated on Peeta with him, and then when the baby was born Peeta didn't NOTICE it was Chinese.
Wtf.
We actually Google it and discovered that the baby was Jennifer Lawrence's brother's baby and that it does have a Chinese mother, but that is no excuse!
Seriously, someone in all those credits MIST have been related to a fandom white baby that they could have used. And Catherine was saying that if you offered random people on the street a fiver for their baby to be talked to by Jennifer Lawrence for a bit, most of them would take it.
THIS IS AMERICA! IT MUST HAVE MORE WHITE BABIES THAN IT DOES CHINESE, AND A POPULATION SIX TIMES LARGER THAN THE UK! THERE MUST BE /SOME/ WHITE BABY THEY COULD HAVE OBTAINED FROM /SOMEWHERE/ VERY EASILY!
Like, WHAT THE FUCK.
I mean even the first season of Supernatural, which Lizzie has previously described with the words "Here's twenty quid, go make a movie" - that did have some actors that did not look very alike the younger versions of Sam and Dean, but at least they were the right ethnicity! YOU HAVE FUCLING POSTERS ON THE SIDES OF BUSES! IF SUPERNATURAL COULD DO IT WHY COULDN'T YOU! And DEAR LORD like we said SOMEONE in all those credits must gave had a white baby you could borrow for a discount or free if you needed!
We couldn't get over it. *shakes head*
(For the record - not racist. Two Chinese parents producing a white baby would be just as bad.)
(Woo! Five AM, a whole hour more than last night!)
(Actually read your massive rant this time Star and you're nitpicking genetics in a series that had a war fought almost entirely by genetically modified animals? A series where (in the book) the dead tributes were somehow science-magic'd back to life as WEREWOLFS?)
(Hell I'm more surprised she didn't give birth to a lizard!)
hello.
((If they still have ethnicies just like ours then I would halfway expect their ethnicices to work just like ours. It's not like everyone's got blue skin or anything.
I mean, most people in District Eleven are black. All of Rue and Thresh's family were black. All of Katniss's family were white. Etc. We have seen no evidence whatsoever that ethnicy works differently in their world, and plenty of evidence that it does.))
((You can argue that Peeta got ratehr tampered-with when he got kidnapped, but what would be the point in that? "Oh, I know, when we're making him hate Katniss, let's give him a gene that would possibly make some ((his first child wasn't Chinese)) of his children Chinese!" Why bother? Bit unlikely.
Of course, maybe it happened by accident. Like, when being mentally conditioned, a recessive Chinese gene entered his system. Erm. Also a bit unlikely.
Maybe Katniss at some point got shot with something to make her have a recessive Chinese gene . . . ? . . . yeah, no.))
((Much more likely that Katniss cheated on Peeta. Although why they would add in that plotline at last minute is beyond me.
Just
no.
They really didn't think this through.
Maybe one can, potentially, explain why this baby is Chinese. But like. Either way, we have to sift through billions of unliekly explanations on what should have been a very simple bit of plot. There is no reason why they couldn't have just got a white baby. -_-))
(Or perhaps, and roll with me on this one, you really need to calm down the over-analytical bundle of 'everything must make 100% logical sense' that is you. The actress wanted to have the baby be her brothers, case closed.)
I thought you'd say that.
To be honest, I would have been perfectly fine accepting that the baby had a Chinese actor. When I first saw it I didn't even realise until Cat started whisper-shouting (we were in a cinema) "But it's CHINESE!" and then I looked properly and it actually was Chinese and I was just like "lol okay" and might have thoguht nothing more of it. But we spent the next hour going on about that Chinese baby, and so I am now very hung-up on that Chinese baby for a few reasons
a) the more you think about it, the less sense it makes.
b) after so much discussion, I have a lot of arguments as to why it is ridiculous and I can spend quite a while going through them all.
c) it is a lot more fun to go "BUT THAT BABY IS CHINESE!!" and think about how ridiculous life is than it is to just sort of accept it. Just sort of accepting it gets you nothing. Going on about how ridiculous it is gets you quite a lot of humour value.
d) I don't have much of an urge to fit in with normal society - in fact, normal society scares me because it's so weird. Well, it's not weird, it's nromal, but like, it's so NORMAL! *scared expression*
However, I do have a /lot/ of an urge to fit in with my particular friendship group, and I get a lot of pleasure out of fitting in and being part of my group. And that requires watching Supernatural, blaming all evil in the world on Justin Bieber and goat's cheese, and endlessly going on about how ridiculous it was that that baby was Chinese.
So, yes, by ranting about it this morning, I got some pleasure out of it from the humour and ridiculousness, and then I felt pleased with myself for being part of my friendship group. So all in all I got enjoyment out of the whole thing. And that's jsut this morning. When we first walked out of the cinema, I was laughing so hard I was literally falling off my chair (we sat at some chairs around the table whilst waiting for Lizzie's mum to pick us up and we didn't notice that she'd been waiting outside for a good time minutes because we were busy animatedly going on about that Chinese baby).
So, I'm going to politely decline your offer to roll with you and calm down. I prefer being over here. Or maybe I don't, but I've decided I think I do which is practically the same thing.
(It's also ironic that you'd say that, in a way. Catherine is the one who doesn't understand things unless they make 100% logical sense and I'm the one either persuading her to accept things and move on or trying to make things make logical sense to her so she can accept them (and then, after ten minutes of me trying to argue that it does make sense, the teacher comes up and tells us it doesn't make sene and that they're lying to us because we're not ready for the proper explanation yet. -_-))
O.O holy shit star XD
(*sits and thinks about how I should revise*
Hmm.)
@Fera: What precisely are you referring to with your "holy shit"?
(:P I've gone all formal now.)
@Jai: XD I do that.
(@Star I SHOULD be revising my Core Biology and my Non Calculator Maths, and almost definitely my French Listening, maybe even my French Reading.
However at the moment my mocks don't seem real in part of my head.
Part of my head is screaming and jittery and running around like it's on fire. Metaphorically.
Another part of my head is sat there thinking we have loads of time and that they aren't really going to be that bad and that I won't do that badly.)
(For the record, nothign wrong with not accepting things unless they make logical sense. I envy Cat that soemtimes, but not much because tehre are advantages adn disadvantages to both positions.)
@Jai: :P
Don't worry. They're mocks. They don't matter.
Just how much you wrote about trying to prove something :P
umm, i am also done with people...
(They do a BIT. I mean colleges look at them.)
@Jai: You what now??
*more explanation please*
@Fera: Mmh well the alternative was colouring in Sam's forehead. I was bored. :P
(Alright then, you've satisfyingly explained your point and all is well, except for your point D.
You don't want to fit into society, you don't want to be "normal". I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but that is normal. Find me a person that doesn't feel that way.)
(Colleges look at your mock results and judge you on them, they base if they think they're good enough and have an interview with you then they see your GCSE's and confirm or reject you a place or offer a conditional place.)
Fair enough, star :P
A lot of people, actually. A lot of people just want to be normal. OR be accepted by society. That is why conformity exists and the reason why it's a big thing in today's society.
(*cries* I have a pilot study to conduct)
@John: I know. I'm perfectly aware of that.
I'm not trying to justify my emotions - emotions are illogical. I'm just trying to work with them the best I can.
Thank you for telling me I'm normal, by the way. When you spend most of your life being told that you are a strange specimen and that you're the most ridiculous human being on the planet and that one one can ever understand you because you're jsut too weird, it's kinda reassuring to have someone tell you you're normal.
(Which, of course, contradicts most of what I was jsut saying. That's my point. Emotions are illogical. They work in weird ways.)
@Jai: O_O
Wow.
Weeeeeeeeeeeell my sixth form was that desperate for us to come that it gave consecutive assemblies going on about how great it was, gave every person in the school an interview regardless of whether or not they wanted to come and used said interview to try to persuade them to come if they didn't want to.
So.
I had nothing to worry about whatsoever.
Wait actually no what the hell
*frowns*
wasn't the condition of the conditional offer "we will accept you IF you get the grades?"
So surely it still doesn't matter?
@Chloe: :(
@Fera: A lot of people want to fit in, but a lot of people also want to not fit in.
*shrugs*
Then you have the people who want to be someone who doesn't fit in with most people so they can fit in with other people. O_o
(I've been one of those people before.)
and here's a primary example. Star wants to be seen as normal, thus she'll more likely conform to others.
(Exactly Fera, and that's what's so terrible about it. The word "normal" is synonymous with "majority". All those people trying so hard to just be what used to be normal are the different ones now.)
(*hugs Chloe*)
(And I think we just got through how she's an example of the current quote normal unquote.)
either way, most human beings are just rats, who would not sacrifice much to achieve things and are selfish excuses for intelligent life.
(Oh come now boy, tell us how you really feel.)
@Fera: what
I don't want to be seen as normal. I just want to be somewhere within the realm of normal so people can actually understand me.
@John: True, actually.
Either way, the normal people who scare me are the nice people who don't always do their homework and have ordinary conversations.
that is how i am starting to feel about human beings, unfortunately. I do not like your tone with me. I'd advise to back up a little bit.
@Fera: Yepyep!
@John: If you talk to Cat, she'll tell you I'm weirder than that.
I'm not abnormal because I don't want to fit in, you know? I'm abnormal because every time I talk to someone they think I am really, really weird. That's what I'm basing it off.
There's some people (seen a few on here) and they're like "oh, I'm not normal!" and it actually makes me laugh because they're normal enough to scare me.
(Apologies but if you don't like heavy doses of sarcasm you're going to have to speak with my agent.)
(Oh, and I don't much like your view of your fellow humans.
I'm going to have to advise you to back up a bit.)
That did not sound like sarcasm, at all. It sounded like you were trying to mock me. Do not mock me. I am not in the mood for it. Or the snake that is the majority of human beings.
I have my opinion. Either accept it or don't, i could not care less.
(*hugs those who wants it*
Is conformity such a bad thing?
And remember people, you can have opinions about society but always remember that you are all humans
Now, that's all I'm saying
I don't wanna get involved )
I think humans are shitty craetures just like Fera does. The difference is, I don't mind it.
Maybe I should but I'm not sure I can.
@Chloe: *hugs*
No, conformity isn't a bad thing at all. I'm just not wired to like it in certain circumstances. Just like all those normal people who scare me aren't bad people either, but I'm just wired to want to avoid them, so I do.
(Alright, just remember that you are one. If you're going to speak on the human race as a whole you're including yourself.)
@John: Good point.
I said majority, didn't I chloe? And what if i am different? I maybe a human, but humans can become different from humans, if they simply try.
conformity is not a bad thing. That is how you get people to act in a certain way...that or obedience. However, you also need people who don't conform, so that they can push different ideas forward.
@Fera: *frowns* You what now. You lost me.
So wait
like
*frowns*
@Fera: Alright, I take my previous comment back. Clearly we have different views on humanity.
I am talking about humans in the belief that i am different. And yes, i do have a good goddamn reason to believe so. Not many people actually go against the flow. They might want to...but they don't. that is also the reason why you need people like me in society. I am not better. I am just different. And not in the way that everyone is special..I am talking different different.
@Fera: *frowns* How are you different?
(genuine question.)
(I mean... I am openly weird and I dress differently than normal people
I don't conform to what's perceived as fashionable
But on the other hand I intend to get married and hold down a job which is conforming to society's idea of what life should be like, albeit these days marriage isn't seen as important now)
@Chloe: XD I don't understand fashion.
(Just wear jeans and a hoodie every day of your life and you'll be fine.
*nods*)
How many people do you have, that want to change the world in a radical way, and actually mean it and are doing things to achieve it? How many people do you have, that believe they're capable enough to not only change everything but also get all the questions to everything that ever existed? How many people have such a thirst for knowledge and change, that they would literally sacrifice anything in their lives to achieve goals?
@John: I was doing that, but I went off hoodies. XD
@Fera: Have you considered that it really doesn't matter because one day we're all gonna die and life will move on and then our species will die out and it'll be like we've never existed?
(Hmmmm I'm more like baddy jeans and multi coloured waist coat)
(Alright, how do you want to change the world? What have you done towards that goal? What questions have you asked and answered? What knowledge have you sought? And what have you sacrificed?)
(Yes Chloe, you dress VERY weirdly ;P)
*baggy
@Chloe: :)
Thing is
I can't really intentially dress against fashion
because
in order to do that I would have to know what's fashionable and what's not
so
I just wear what I like that doesn't seem too out-there.
Although I do like my rainbow-coloured elbow-length fingerless gloves. :)
(You've only seen me in a maid outfit XD )
(Pro tip: don't watch fashion shows. Caught bits and pieces from my sister watching, and I kid you not I saw a person wearing a fish bowl on their head.)
and see, THAT is where i differ. Everyone accepts death, and just goes with whatever happens. I have control over what i do, and i don't accept anything that nature or anyone is throwing at me. If there is a god, and it wants us to die, I will go against his will.
I will not answer those questions john, for reasons i will not tell you. I do, however know what i know, and i will make a change.
@John: Lol.
@Fera: Okay. You go do that, if that will make you happy. :)
(You won't answer because you can't answer. It's all fine and fun to say grand things until someone skeptical takes a moment to question you.)
(And that was very weird indeed Chloe.
*is in a lets get shit done mood*
*wbd*)
(Ugh, thinking up a dedication at seven o'clock was not on my to do list. I think I see the sun coming up...
So dedication to unintentional all-nighters! Thanks for drawing me into debates, guys.)
(Hear hear!
FERA... Go against nature and then bad things will happen
Humans exist because of nature
Nature gives us life )
no john, i will not answer because I will not take any chances. I also do not feel being compelled to answer you, or to justify anything you ask me. Words are merely tools. Actions are still more powerful. And thus, I don't feel the need to tell you anything.
I don't care about what makes me happy, star. I do, however want the answer to every question.
(Except, of course, those asked of you.)
and that is another factor where i differ. That is an age-old argument chloe and only non-risk takers would think that way. We've pushed ourselves as a civilization by going against nature, and taking risks, and will only progress that way. I do not believe in the value of life. If something/someone simply exists, that doesn't automatically give it a value. Its actions are the things that do.
I do not give a shit what you think john, go on and brag about it, try to bring me down, I will stand at my word and don't care about what you think.
(I draw the line there. Don't you dare say that life has no value. I don't care about your high and mighty plans that are going to shatter the second reality smacks you across the face, I don't care about your childish views on the world, a life is the single most valuable thing in existence. If it's worthless then go ahead and end yours.)
(1. You want to go against society
2. You believe the only way we will progress is with society
Am I missing something or not getting it completely?
(Hi sis... Be careful as you've walked into a danger zone)
End my life? Why would i do that? I have plans to take care of. IF I knew my plans were secured and would be taken care of by other, people i would be glad to end it. But not now, no way. Why is life valuable? tell me, please. ANd don't give me that "just because it is". "childish" is about the only argument I've heard from you, but you know, I don't know who's more childish, people who will sit on their asses and accept absolutely everything that happens around them, or the people that will stand and will try to make a change for the better.
(Woah, there is nothing wrong with living accepting what happens!)
(*is leaning over to the side of paganism*)
you're not getting it at all, chloe. I never said the only way we will progress is with society, but that i would like to try and make society progress. Also...I go against some things...such as wanting to have a happy life....I am willing to sacrifice just about anything to make a change.
no, there is nothing wrong with it chloe, however when there is so much wrong all around us, sitting around is actually pretty childish.
(Simple. Life is potential incarnate. You sit there and arrogantly say it's actions that give a life value, I say it's the actions that might be done that give a life value.)
(Life is valuable
It's what you need to make said change
And may I ask a question?
WHY do you want this change to happen? To achieve what?
You may have already said but I can't remember)
(Sorry, just went for lunch.
:) Thanks for the ded.)
@Fera: Because it makes you feel better to be all high-and-mighty than to be one of those lazy beings that you despise.
But alright. You go do what you want to do. I'm not objecting.
(Don't worry about it sis *huggles*
What's the point of being an adult if you can't be childish some times? Being grown up is boring)
@Chloe: :) Nice one.
@Saoirse: :P This is why I read previous comments.
Essentially, it went Chinese baby -> argument -> discussion about normality -> Fera saying he wants to make a difference in the world -> argument.
@Fera: I think it's pretty childish to try to make a difference in the world. It all depends on perspective.
(Probably because when I was little I was optimistic and then when I was older Cat and Lizzie came along with their pessimism, so now I associate being younger with optimism and being older with pessimism.)
@Chloe: :) Nice one.
(Thanks starry ^,^)
BUt being grown up is different for everyone else.
I don't think i am high all mighty, star. Not at all. But if I am one of the only people who sees that we need change, than i have an even bigger pain inside my heart.
@Fera: *repeats Chloe's question* Why do we need change?
Once again, we're all gonna die anyway and then we're gonna die out and the universe will keep expanding, so . . .
What if we don't die? Most people don't even pose the question...most people are just like "yeah, we're gonna die" uggghh....and plus, we don't even know how the universe works exactly, so that point is actually non-valid.
(Nobody grows up. We masquerade around as adults because that's what's expected.)
(Okay and now you're trying to debunk scientific facts while contradicting yourself. You're going to die. I'm going to die. Everyone on Earh at this very moment is going to die. If life is so worthless why even pose the question of not dying.)
yes, i am aware that my ideas are very out there, and they're very abstract, however, future generations may just thank me.
@Fera: I did consider that :P my point is, it'll just go one.
Okay, so let's say we never die out. Firstly, your change is pretty much never gonna be permanent unless you change human nature itself. Secondly, say you do change the world permanently. So what?
@John: Yepyep. Good point. :)
So...you believe we're gonna die john..you believe that human science is absolutely holy, and that we know everything about the universe... And I am still the one whose comprehensive capabilities are supposedly underneath yours? Science is one of the actual things that could lead us to not dying out.
(Why preserve life that has no value?
I've accepted that me and everyone else if going to die at some point
It's natural
Does anyone here. Believe in paganism?)
(My lefts have gone dead!!! My cat has killed my legs -_-)
@Fera:
"[*accusatorily*] you beleeve that human science is absolutely holy"
"[*seriously*] science is one of the one of the actual things that could lead to us not dying out"
um okay :P
(I wasn't goign to actually argue with you, but I got sucked in.)
Star: Live life, because you don't know what's beyond death. I have accepted the challenges of life...all of them. I want to fight out what life is...because for all you know, you may just disappear after life. People who don't have a will to fight this much will never understand.
(This reminds me of the death bringer oddly enough
If everyone continued to live and not die, the world will become too populated because people would be born
Because humans like sex
You can't deny them that
If people were to not die you would have to stop reproduction)
@Chloe: I don't.
@Jai; :( :(
@Fera: Okay.
And, no, I won't understand. I'll just sit here happily drawing Sam and Dean whilst arguing with random people on the internet, and I fail to understand why this makes you better than me.
(*sees paganism*
*reads*
*puts hand up*
My parents!!! They're pagans!!!)
I believe life can have a value, chloe, but it doesn't automatically.
Star, I am saying human science, right now, is not really reliable. Such that, people should not be talking about "scientific facts" rather "theories"
@Saoirse: :)
Awwwh I like your view.
@Chloe: I thought he meant that we wouldn't die out.
@Fera: Truetrue.
(In our lifetimes? And I suppose you'll be the one to bring that great change upon us as well. To say your ideas are out there is to say oxygen is only slightly important.)
*nods at sav*
are you serious right now, chloe? The expansion of humans only go as far as the earth? the universe may be infinite. If that;'s the case, there is an infinite amount of room for everyone.
John, think what you want. My actions will prove your skepticism wrong.
(Again with the "oxygen is slightly important".)
(I am pagan :P
I've been thinking of that
Niiice, shoot down opinions that don't fit with yor own
Personally, if I lived forever I would get bored
@star I assume he means living forever seeing as he is on about not accepting death)
blah blah.
@John: Haha.
@Fera: Alright. When I've seen your actions, I'll believe you and tell you how awesome you are and that I was totally wrong for not believing you. Until then, I'll be skeptical. Deal?
(*pauses* Wait, what are we arguing about? Maths distracted me.)
(I'm sure they will, call me in a thousand years when we both still look to be in our twenties and are living in some far-off galaxy. I'm sure we'll look back on this day and have a great laugh.)
well chloe, that is you. I know that i wouldn't get bored, because there is so much to do, it is impossible to get bored unless you want to.
*smiles back at sav*
@Chloe: Oh, okay.
*frowns* *doesn't know how one can not accept death but okay*
@Fera: Blah blah? :)
("Dean, this is a serious investigation. We don't have time for your blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.")
@Jai: Haha.
Fera has plans to change the universe adn most people are arguing against him.
that was to john, star :P
Star: sure, but this is unimportant and is just robbing our times...wouldn't you agree star? :)
(Oh and that was me mocking you.)
(But there is only a limited number of things you can do, as human of course
It is a fact
There may be many things to do, but it may only take thousands of years to complete
What would you do after that? )
cool john, but I don't care...so you know, you can shoo if you want to :P
(Okay and what is his plan? What does he hope to achieve?)
(We don't know Jai, he refuses to say.)
@Fera: What?
@Jai: We don't know, and we don't know. He jsut says he'll make a difference. And you know, stop global warming and defeat death and stop us dying from overpopulation.
That is, again, closing in your range of perspective chloe...how would i know what you'd do in thousands of years? One thing i know, is that you'd be most likely not even human anymore. So there's that ^_^
only a fool revels his plans.
Science is based in fact THATS WHAT MAKES IT SCIENCE!!! WHEN THE FACTS CHANGE SO DOES THE THEORY!
Everyone is human, say differently and pretend not but your still human face it
I've got plans that i won't reveal, let's just say that ^_^
(Mmhmmm. Okay now I understand where arguing comes in.
It is highly unlikely that you can stop death AND prevent over population.
In fact it's highly unlikely you'll do the two things separately, never mind at the same time.
And to do so you'd likely have to go against human rights when it comes to the overpopulation thing.
As for global warming, that's more rational.
But as you won't share what you want to change you yourself likely don't know which makes it far less likely.)
(I am being practical
You can't say I am being narrow minded
No, you aren't revealing your plans because you don't have a strong enough argument
Shouldn't we know your plan if you are to save our race from death?(
*sighs* anyways, this is not doing anything productive, I have no intent to argue any further, it's just like trying to push a wall without any prior training, not happening.
Won't reveal your grand plan.... Because their is no plan!!!!!
(No, you don't. You're a kid playing make-believe. Sitting there dreaming impossible goals for yourself. Thinking the world is so much simpler than it is. So go on, chase after them, see how far you get.)
@Ed: What
no, technically tehre is no such thing as a fact. We can't prove anything, only disprove things. Fera was right on that part.
The wall being fact and knowledge, the push being fiction and fantasy
(Exactly, Ed.)
@Saoirse: Yepyep.
But if he wants to do what he's doing - saying he'll change the world without proof - he'll have to face skepticism too.
But star, the principal stands once something is disproven, the theory changes
No chloe, you shouldn't. PLans can be stopped once known about. I don't have a strong enough argument?!!!! OMG, this is aggravating me now...I have put up a strong enough argument, but you just won't be able to see what i see...expand your bubble a bit more, or stay in it for all i care i am done with arguing.
thanks sav, and star :)
(*sighs* Guyssssssssssss. Fera isn't going to change him mind on this, just ignore what you believe to be his stupid arguments and talk about butterflies or something. He never learns and by humouring him you're allowing him to annoy you.)
Their is no bubble!!!!!! ITS A POINT WITH NO BACKING!
Jai, thats the best point I've heard all day and thank you
(Hardly even a point I'd say, I cringe at the thought of reading back to count all the continuity errors.)
(I am open to new opinions
That's why I like college
I'm exposed to many new views on different matters
However, I need strong enough reason to change my view)
@Ed: Yepyep.
@Jai: Oh, I'm getting quite entertained by this.
I agree with you john
what errors john? That i want to change it, i know how to go about it and i believe i can change it?
well chloe, if you don't see it for yourself, i can't do anything about it.
I aim high. And i am proud of it...think what you want, believe what you want, I do not care.
There is nothing to see!!!!! Everyone here talks sense except one!
(An example then: life is worthless but I'll come up with a way to live forever!
And while I'm at it: humans are terrible filthy greedy things but not me I'm different.
Shall I go on?)
(Okay jai ^.^ good point *chases flutterby*)
@Fera: Then why you arguing with us? :)
(*chases the butterfly with Chloe*)
*listens to Metallica and draws Sam and Dean*
no actually, everyone here seems to think they talk sense. You simply don't see what i see, that doesn't mean i am not talking sense.
I didn't say life is worthless...but it can be if nothing productive is done with it. So yes john,
And humans can be bad...what i was getting at, is that things can be changed... LISTEN
because it is aggravating me, star. I would like for people to understand, but if they don't i start not giving many craps ^_^
you shall go on, but i can guarantee, nearly everything you find wrong with what i said is either you not listening or not understanding what i am saying to a full extent.
It's like talking to a child that refuses to listen
*departs* see ya John and jai and star and Chloe
(May i interject?
People have different views on what a productive life is and what not *goes back to the butterfly*)
@Fera: I'll agree you talk sense when I see results or evidence. Until then, based on what I see, I'm sceptical.
@Fera: Okay.
(*coughs*
*shouldn't have added the that much hot sauce*)
And so I find the same thing with most of you, jack...it's like you just won't listen to what i am saying..star does *nods*
and yeah sat, i am alright with people being skeptical..but when it takes heights of them saying i am wrong and i am childish, i would really like to act violently against them.
(Definitely too much!!!)
@Jai: :P
@Fera: Okay. If you want to go and make a difference, though, I would advise you to become more thick-skinned. You're going to run into opposition. :)
it's alright jack, i forgive very easily ^_^ and you haven't caused much offense really...the person i had most problem with is john.
(That is exactly what it is, Ed. People so thoroughly convinced by themselves that they become impossible to argue with.
Fera, I've done nothing but listen to your idiocy for the past two and a half hours. The joke ran its course, went home for the weekend, finished its degree, had a family, grew old, and died over the course of this excuse for a debate. If his grand arrogance would excuse me I'm going to try to at least get one hour of sleep in as I attempt to purge the metophorical tombs of rediculous rambling from my head.)
I am planning to start ignoring shit, star :P
(Why? Cause he's arguing against your point? He has valid reason to be skeptical)
@John: Haha.
@Fera: Okay.
John, you still haven't proved my points "wrong" and so that word "idiocy" looses its meaning, since you really are just a prick.
I mean, I still don't agree with you fera
But I do not wish to argue and be threatened
no chloe, he says i am wrong and childish. I accept skepticism....but not rejection. Fuck that.
that's fine jack, you can not agree with me, however you're doing the not agreeing a lot better than john.
(Stop insulting people guys. It just takes away from your argument the majority of the time.)
John is just putting his point across
Nobody is doing anything wrong
@Fera: Um, well, you're going to experience rejection as well if you try to do what you want to do. I'd advise you to accept that as well. And as someone who's told she's wrong and a child on an extremely regular basis, I'll tell you that minor insults are really insignificant and you'll have bigger things to worry about.
