Oh dear GOD sometimes I read 'aromantic moments'-type threads on AVEN sometimes and tehre are some people on there who used to play Sims and never worked out how to make their Sims have kids. *facepalm*

I was never fond of those games, the kind where you, like, make people live. I much preferred it when they were an objective adn something you had to work towards. Just sort of making people exist? Wasn't fond of that.

Just Cause 2 is one of the best games ever me thinks.
Behind all the Mass Effects and Batman Arkham stuff of course.
BUT
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas had a map which was 13.6 square miles.
TES Oblivion had 16 square miles.
Just Cause 2 has FOUR HUNDRED SQUARE MILES.
It's great.
There's cities and mountains and deserts and oceans.
And like you can swim underwater and underwater actually looks NICE (something which most games don't do).
And you can drive/fly/pilot every vehicle you can find.
And I mean you have a grappling hook.
You can grapple a plane to a car and have the plane take off whilst you dangle in the car beneath it.
It's an insane game. Like Saints Row The Third kind of insane (just without the awkwardness and sparkly explosions). Everything has ragdoll physics XD
Earlier I did a 5km base jump. Twas fun. Until I realised the x button was stuck so I hit the ground AFTER the 5km freefall going very very very very fast and died.

The Departure is set in the future, with a totalitarian government ruling Earth. Basically like 1984 with Nazi systems and a hint of sci-fi.
People are going to die -_-
Animal Farm is a story about animals getting rid of the farmer who is obviously treating them bad, eating them and not letting them in the house and all.
So they start a revolution, and because the pigs are the smartest, they come up with the rules for the new communist farm.
Stuff like 'all animals are equal'.
... but soon enough, stuff goes down and the rules get rewritten, for examle into:
'All animals are equal - but some are more equal than others.'
It's really short, shouldn't take long to read. ^^

Or Deus Ex where the government rules, rather than corporations. Except Deus Ex was still doing fine.

Meh, in the book, Earth's population has reached 22 billion, I think. There's simply not enough food to feed everyone. The government is planning to knock the population down to about 6-8 billion, but even if the government is toppled and the final solution fails, billions of people will starve. People are already killing each other for a bag of onions, and soon, basic infrastructure will collapse. So really, the people will die regardless. Over ten billion of them.
And that's why you control your damn population size.
-shrugs-
Actually, we don't know how many humans earth can support, but we DO know that our population size regulates itself. All first world countries have decreasing birth rates, and it's starting for the second world ones, too.
Maybe we just don't feel like having children when there's too many people around? :P In any case, I doubt it'll get thaaat bad.

Also, since Earth formed into a singular government, wars stopped, so the fact that people stopped dying in wars has helped support a population rise.
