I said the winner would be announced at the end of July but, because the entries kept coming, I kept it open another month. All in all, we had over 800 people entering — some more than once — and picking a winner was NOT easy.

(it's still killing, there's no difference in the end result. had to get rid of them, they would've died when we were packing up the tents anyways, because mosquitoes are stupid as hell, and they would've been crushed when packing up. sad, but true.)

When we go on holiday adn there's wasps my dad puts some fruit juice in the bottom of a beer bottle, and then when a wasp flies in he closes the top so the wasp drowns. We end up with tons of wasps floating in it after a few days, haha.

I can kill bugs, but prefer not to. I'd kill mosquitos, though, because they bite. I wouldn't kill wasps or bees unless by the drowning method, because other methods make me afraid of being stung.

(if i saw it was necessary...i wouldn't think about it twice once the decision has been made. but yeah i do always try to let bugs out of my room instead of accidentally squishing them. They don't bother me if they're just there, but i always fear i would squish them, so i try to get them outside ^_^)

Nope. Don't like spiders on me. I'm scared they'll crawl inside my clothes or inside my mouth or inside my ears. :o I'm generally fine with letting insects run over my hands though. Love little greenfly awwh. :) Although spiders make me uneasy; they move so fucking FAST.

In Amsterdam there's a ton of mosquitos and most people have mosquito nets/other . . .
There's also a ton of mice in Amsterdam. My parents have a few cool stories about that. :) Like, my parents were quite young hwne they lived in Amsterdam, and they'd never had mice before and didn't really know what they were doing, so they decided, right, we need to find where the mice are coming from. So my dad had the brilliant idea of covering the kitchen floor in flour overnight so they'd be able to see the mice's footprints and so be able to work out where they were coming from.
The next morning, all the flour had been eaten and then they just had really fat mice. XD
fera: *stands up as quickly as he says the last letter, clenching his teeth* sorry, i am going to take a walk outside.
(but i am so good at tasting ramen, i might as well be titled that :P )

My parents were cool. XD
(They also tried using traps that captured them instead of killed them because it was less cruel, except they didn't know how far away you had to take the mice to release them, and apparently my dad would just ride out with mice on the back of his bike to go put them somewhere. And then they realised that those traps were actually more cruel because if you forgot to check them then the mice would starve to death, so they also bought traps that killed them. And apparently my dad would make a maze out of beer crates so that the mice could choose whether to go down the path to the live trap or the dead trap haha.)
