(I'm coming down with a cold or something. Usually this would be bad enough but the cold is making my cleft palate hurt whenever I, say, swallow. Or breathe. And this pain intensifies if my mouth gets dry, which it does while I sleep, so I can't sleep because it hurts and when I do sleep I wake up from the pain..)

And, really, nobody's perfect. Yeees, that gets said too often, but if you want an example: My teeth were so all over the place the first orthodontist I went to said he'd never seen so many mistakes in one mouth.
I'm sure you have good sides that make up for it.
(Its BEEN sewn together but it still hurts like a beech. I'm not sure if I've grown and this is causing a pull on the scar tissue or if the illness I'm potentially gaining would have caused it either way but hurts :( )

(... also, I find it mildly scary when people try to take medicine without talking to a doctor first... save for mild painkillers)
(I'm fairly certain mum would be two busy to haul herself and me to the doctors. And I'm not sure the local GP would be useful.. but I'll ask..)
(And bongella is just a mild painkiller. It's mainly used for toothache and stuff but works for cleft palates..)
Always better to be safe than sorry...
... I'd never have known I had anaemia without seeing mine, and at least I now also know for sure that it was just because of lacking iron, not some actually bad stuff like internal bleeding.. ^^
Or my friend, who just ignored her stomach aches for years. Turned out she's VERY gluten intolerant.. ^^
