It's not easy writing a book.
I mean, it's easier than mining coal. It's easier than most factory work. It's probably easier than a lot of office jobs as well.
But STARTING to write a book... those first few inches you have to push that boulder till it hits the edge and starts to roll downhill... THAT'S the hard part.
Not as hard as teaching, granted. Or working on a farm. Or being a doctor or a nurse or a cop or a fireman. I doubt it's as hard as construction, either, or carpentry, or plumbing, or engineering.
But STILL...

The last of the three - Minerve - could have done it. But I am struggling to find motivation for her to drag someone out of a parallel universe. If it was someone this side, I'd be her. I think we should go and speak to Elizabeth. I do have limited understanding of human technology, but I know the phone devices send out signal. I often talk to people who aren'aren't there (I describe it as talking to 'anyone who'll listen') and then people are like "are you talking to yourself?" and a few years ago I used to say I wasn't because I wasn't addressing myself, but now I just say I am because it's easier. :P I often talk to my work, as well, mainly when I get stressed.

My general rule for people bossing me around is to accept it if it happens a few times thwn, if it keeps on happening and annoys me, tell them so . . . because the might not even realise they're doing anything wrong, y'know? So I'd generally say don't make a fuss over a little bit of bossiness because it may be making a mountain out of a molehill, but if it's a recurrent theme and makes you unhappy you should say something.
HOWEVER, you are not me, and people who are not me act differently to me, so if my advice doesn't work for you then feel free not to take it.:)

Ember: Elizabeth and I... We know each other, but we are not friends, exactly. Elizabeth runs by logic, whereas I am more impulsive. However, no doubt she will be more curious than anything else - and she is able to go to alternate universes anyway. I am sure she will help.

Parasite: Yes, we should. *the dream changes, turning into a large field with a relatively large group of humans in the centre*
Bethany: *she smiles, curling up a little tighter*
@Sophia: You don't know the situation, though. I can easily imagine myself saying "It's gonna be hot, so you might want to wear shorts," and I can also easily imagine someone wording that as, "It's gonna be hot, so wear shorts!"
(Or other similar situations).
*shrugs* She might not have intended to, like, dictate his actions.
Which is why I think it's best not to worry about it too much unless it's a recurrent theme and unless it bothers you (eg. Jai orders me around a LOT, but I'm perfectly happy with that arrangement).

Ember: I can find her. In my mind I have... Almost like a map, but it is a moving map. And I can see things. Gods, the sons and daughters of gods... Anything which comes from one of the realms of the gods shows up as a glow. Who it is and what it is depends on the glow. For example, I know that Elizabeth is in a realm bedside Minerve's. Do you know when you close your eyes when you are looking at light, and you can see strange light spots? When I close my eyes, I see realms - that is, if I want to.
Liliana: *she presses against Onwa, grinning*
Parasite: Mmm... Well, that was largely unnecessary, but nevertheless.
Bethany: *she kisses her back, tucking her head underneath Silente's chin*

James: *rolls eyes, setting her back down at opposed to holding her, watching the vampires rip the people apart literally*
