It's not easy writing a book.
I mean, it's easier than mining coal. It's easier than most factory work. It's probably easier than a lot of office jobs as well.
But STARTING to write a book... those first few inches you have to push that boulder till it hits the edge and starts to roll downhill... THAT'S the hard part.
Not as hard as teaching, granted. Or working on a farm. Or being a doctor or a nurse or a cop or a fireman. I doubt it's as hard as construction, either, or carpentry, or plumbing, or engineering.
But STILL...

It began the night the husband left me, and ended with total desolation.." Dip dip dip "I've written in here the events of the evening that Cain deserted me, but I will continue from there.."

Adra screamed, writhing on the bloodied hospital bed, hot with sweat from her torture. Her hands were bound to the bed with leather straps- she never imagined that she would have to give birth in this kind of hospital- the mental kind.The nurses hurriedly injected morphine into her veins, to try to offer relief- the binds on her hands and feet hurt the circulation, however. Adra screamed again as she contracted, the pain in her pelvis making her want to vomit. She did vomit. The nurses pressed her back into the bed, so that she could use the force of her body to press the baby out. She had been in labor for nearly thirty six hours now, and she was tired, ill, and ready to pass out.
There was muffled words around her, and she saw two doctors slide into the room, each wearing a scaramouch mask, with long, curled beaks. The typhus outbreak had been hard this year, and they didn't want to risk anything.
There was a sinewy sound of tearing flesh, and Adra felt a dull pain in her abdomen. Through blurred eyes, she saw a bloody scalpel in the Doctor's hand. She kept crying as the stench of her own innards putrified her nose.
"Please..."
There was the squelching sound as the Doctors reached into her ballooned abdomen, and he slid the infant from her. He looked like a skinned rabbit, bloody, with thin legs. His hand was melted to his face.
The doctors began to slap the baby's rear, trying to get him to breathe, but there was no sound from the tiny human. Adra slowly faded in and out of consciousness, not fully aware of the situation yet. She saw one of the doctors faintly throw the carcass of her son into a waste bin, and screamed in pain, thrashing. Something pinned her down As her stomach was stitched up, and she continued to scream and scream and scream, desperately wanting relief from the pain and the heartbreak. She was beginning to understand what had happened- she didn't know why but
Someone just threw her infant in a trash bin.
She continued to scream and scream.
Eventually, she was transferred to another bed- a cleaner bed, and was ordered to bathe. She couldn't move. She was dragged to the bathing house by two of the male nurses, and stripped of her clothes. She couldn't stand. She fell. They dragged her up, and washed her with freezing water, hitting her whenever she screamed in pain. She was nothing but a dog to them- a pathetic woman.
he other men in the showers with her were laughing and ogling her body, despite its disrepair.
She was brought back to her room, stark naked, and forced to lie down on her bed, where they cuffed her once more. All of the patients were kept naked. Clothes were too difficult to supply.
There were two other women and six men in her room with her.
She cried to herself until she fell asleep.

I have heard of the things that happened to women in there. The showers were co-ed." Dip dip dip.
"I had walked for a long time out to the bath house, where I managed to find hot water. It was so relieving to my soreness. My stomach was beginning to scar, and I had all but lost my baby weight due to the starvation." Dip dip dip. "But an inmate named Saety had followed me. He was institutionalized for the rape of children and infants." Dip dip dip. "He found me, and there was nothing I could do.."
Dip dip dip.
"The following week was Hell. I cried every day. I had three three times to slip my arms, to bleed until death, but was eventually put in the Jacket, in a soft padded room." Dip dip dip. "I was in there for five months. It was their mistake that one day, they gave me a metal tray for the meagre mouldy bread and old apple slices."

"I murdered the guards. I murdered the warden. I murdered my friends, and anyone I could find.
I couldn't find Saety. I never did. He was always gone."

"It was then that I began to develop schizophrenia. I never realized that I had, since by the time I escaped the hospital, I was completely unbalanced and dark. However, recent PET scans revealed that my brain has severely deteriorated." Dip dip dip. "Whether it was due to the trauma, genetics, or medicine of the early nineteenth century, I don't know." Dip dip dip.

I thought that it may be interesting to mix up the POV from just third person limited omniscient to a mixed epistolary and third person limited omniscient... I thought it would be rather Modernist of me

oh btw, i've got a good story for every1 :P basically...me and my friends were walking passed the women's clothing in a shop, and we see a guy taking notes on a pad, and observing the underpants very curiously, we slightly stopped to see what he's doing, and he just straight up turns his head, saying "WOMEN'S UNDERWEAR! MMMMM!" and we could barely hold our laugh in XD and the funny thing about it is, we've seen that exact guy doing similar things before... never expected him to talk to us :D
