It's not easy writing a book.
I mean, it's easier than mining coal. It's easier than most factory work. It's probably easier than a lot of office jobs as well.
But STARTING to write a book... those first few inches you have to push that boulder till it hits the edge and starts to roll downhill... THAT'S the hard part.
Not as hard as teaching, granted. Or working on a farm. Or being a doctor or a nurse or a cop or a fireman. I doubt it's as hard as construction, either, or carpentry, or plumbing, or engineering.
But STILL...

(That may be a suitable tactic when there are plenty of people role-playing, Noelle, but in a relatively small group like this one it may need some amendment to prevent the plot moving forwards and people being left wondering where their characters are. I am aware that it is non-canon, but the point still stands if Jaimie would wish to continue the roleplay tomorrow.)

(It may have been good to pause for both, Star. The fact they were roleplaying shows that they were wanting to do it. Carrying on without those who were participating and wanting to continue is rather unfair. People may fade in and out of roleplays, but characters do not. So whilst the plot was advancing, what would the characters of Jaimie and Chloe be doing? Standing idly and watching it happen around them? Because surely that would go against their characters?)

(It wouldn't be hard to catch back up... you don't even need to read back just whats going on when you get back in... not reading back may in fact help the immersion... if you were unconscious etc you would have no idea what had happened... )
(You speak of immersion, but surely that would be broken once you came back to a roleplay and had to create some form of excuse about why your character did not participate for the last X minutes/hours, and why the other characters did not want to help them?)
((Personally, I love Jai adn she's one of my favourite people in the world, but Noelle never really roleplays here anymore, and, furthermore, whenevr she tries to comment here it also results in conflict. Thus, keeping going with her seemed like the least harming cause of action, particularly as I didn't really think it would hurt Jai to be left behind, as it was freestyle and she hadn't been the first person to be left behind.
That's how my thinking of it went.))

i see, so you like the very hard drops ^_^ I like the drop to be hard, but also to have a very good melody to it ^_^ and most of these lack that nice melody :) but of course i've listened to it before...i think they're pretty cool but again not really my style that much ^_^

(I imagine a roleplay like several cars pulling the same trailer, which has something belonging to each driver on. When one driver becomes tired, it would be better for all cars to pull over for the night so the tired driver knows where the trailer is, and where their belongings are. What you are attempting to argue is that it would be better for them to disconnect the tired driver and continue pulling the trailer without said driver, so the tired driver will wake up not knowing where the other drivers are or their belongings, and they would then have to attempt to catch up. That, to me, makes no sense, but nevertheless.)

(It would make sense to prevent the hitchhiker waking up with no knowledge of where they were. If they knew where they were going, then it would be acceptable. But the purpose of a roleplay is improvisation. Neither the driver or the hitchhiker would know where they were going, so it would be better to go there together whilst both were conscious.)

All I will say on the matter is that, in my generation, when we joined in group roleplays, they were rarely ever stopped for the passing of one or two members. Mostly everyone simply came and went, and joined in wherever the roleplay had moved to in their absence. That style of roleplaying was normal then, and that is what Noelle is most used to, since ours was the generation in which she seems to have roleplayed most. I don't intend to propose that either method has more merit than the other, but only to point out that it is simply a different way of roleplaying, and that that is the standard she is used to using, as in her generation it was common and perfectly acceptable.
And I think I'll leave again now.

Um, well I enjoy fantasy the most, but it bugs me because it is so hard finding good fantasy that isn't insanely childish. In real life, I am insanely childish and love childishness, but I feel like writing and plots shouldn't be. Characters can be, of course, but not the books themselves. I really don't come across much fantasy that looks good. I also like dystopian books a lot, just not straight romance. I am good with romance, but not a novel where the focus is romance. Now I'm rambling...
But yeah, fantasy and dystopian.
But I will say, SP I would say is definitely my favorite thing ever.

I like fantasy as well, and mystery and historical fiction, and especially books that blend some or all of those.
Books that blend genres are definitely great.

when we were little, like ten-early teens, we tried so hard to be grown-up and cool (or they did, and I was just there like "what's happened the world,"), and then we got to mid-teens and we realised how much more fun being childish was. XD

@Keiron: XD To me, a tan isn't worth getting sunburnt for, so I tend to avoid it.
(I suppose :P but it doesn't bother me as i'm only red for as long as i'm in the sun then I go brown :P that night or next day :D hehe)

I suppose I dedicate to friendship.
I didn't buy the yearbook. I didn't even put my profile in for it. I wanted to but no one sent me the questions and apparently they were stupid as hell so nah. and i hate most of the people in my year. Which is also why i didn't get a hoodie.
I found something to do. Post more of my fanfic. Since i thought up a more detailed ending in the shower.
Showers are weird and wonderful places to just have thinking time. You'll all hate me for the ending i think. And i hope you cry. Because if you cry i have written it well.
So yeah, posting what i have then writing more. I have a little bit of a writers block for the middle bit but i know how i want it to end so bare with me...
Also going to draw more and post to my drawing blog that i said i would do 5 months ago in January. Ha... So yeah! busy busy ^.^
I know you can be nice Keiron. It was my fault though. I didn't like you then you lied to everyone and pretended you were a girl to try and keep me. And you're right, it was nice. But it was certainly not the right way to go about it.
