It's not easy writing a book.
I mean, it's easier than mining coal. It's easier than most factory work. It's probably easier than a lot of office jobs as well.
But STARTING to write a book... those first few inches you have to push that boulder till it hits the edge and starts to roll downhill... THAT'S the hard part.
Not as hard as teaching, granted. Or working on a farm. Or being a doctor or a nurse or a cop or a fireman. I doubt it's as hard as construction, either, or carpentry, or plumbing, or engineering.

Maybe you were trying to help. However, instead of suggesting for me to do something, you told me- all but ordered me to do so, and your tone was very counteractive. You said that I needed to change my profile picture to feel better, but your ignorance as to how depression works was very insulting to me... One just doesn't "get better". I live with depression. It is me.
And in addition, putting "^_^" with every comment suggested an intensely sarcastic/ provoking attitude, because it contrasts the rather serious subject, making it seem as if you take my depression as a joke.
So there is my explanation. I can't say anything for anyone else, but I wanted to let you know why I thought what I did. I believe it was entirely justified.

I would very much LIKE to decide to the abolishment of conflict, but I kind of like conflict too much to do that . . .
So instead I guess I'll dedicate to just plain decency. To putting in the extra effort to make someone feel better; to admitting when you're wrong; to not emotionally blackmailing or guilttripping people; to backing the side you honestly think is right, regardless of the consequences; to many more things that fall under this umbrella.
