I just . . . like Ari and Trip, I'm not someone else when I'm here, but Star is my other persona, and this name is who I am here, whereas my other name is who I am there. Also, Holly is rather incompetent, whereas Star is rather wise, and Star is better at social interactions than Holly (because I'm better qt interacting through the internet), sp Star makes me feel rather confident and Holly just reminds me that I'm incompetent. :P Plus Holly seems more of a boring word. Star is more cool. But mostly, it just feels weird to be called Holly here because I'm not Holly here. I'm Holly there and Star here, and it's like . . . idk. I could give you an example, but it's a bit pointless linking to books if the people reading your metaphor haven't read them.

I'm just more confident in the situations that I use my taken name in than the situations I use my given name in, so over time my taken name has come to ve associated with that confidence and my given name has come to be associated with that lack of confidence. (I know a lot of Emilys as well. I remember my sister and I once had a contest to name as many Emmas and Emilys as possible. I forget who won. We probably lost interest before there was a winner. I don't know a lot of Ellies. Oddly enough, I know more female Ryanns than male Ryans. I know a bunch of Andrews though, and both Dave and Steve are pretty popular names.)
Funnily enough, my sister knows three Imogens including her in her yeqr group . . . I wouldn't have thought it was a common name. Maybe it was that year though.

That's a nice way of putting it, Star, but you know what I meant. Memories from here. I just have these glimpses and actually thought of Adra as being part of a later generation of ours, like earlier than Mara, Fabi, and Jubi, but after us.
I also think of Danni as that gen too, though maybe it was just... How I remember it? My timing is different than yours, is what I'm trying to say. It's been thrown off, in a way.

I still count myself as middle gen. Like. Am I technically part of Star's generation, even though that one started like nine months before me? Because the only people REALLY in my gen are Death(we joined the same day) and Eden(who is long gone).
Well, I call the gen tww gens newer than the gen I first appeared in rhe 'old gen.' XD But eah; i'd say you were pretty old. :) I only really start counting from where I first appeared, though. Anythung older than that is ancient. :)
I think of them like this - - the Zath/Nix/Eve gen - the Ieni/Mara/Luce gen (although Luce is older than that) - the Adra/Ari/Fabi/Trip gen (which also had Mara in it and Adra is older than me) - the Silente/Gemma/Sophia gen (although Gemma is older than most people)

I was just reading through the comments at the top of the page, and apparently I'm old gen?

I still count myself as middle gen. Like. Am I technically part of Star's generation, even though that one started like nine months before me? Because the only people REALLY in my gen are Death(we joined the same day) and Eden(who is long gone).
...That's so weird.

Well, I call the gen tww gens newer than the gen I first appeared in rhe 'old gen.' XD But eah; i'd say you were pretty old. :)
I only really start counting from where I first appeared, though. Anythung older than that is ancient. :)

I think of them like this -
- the Zath/Nix/Eve gen
- the Ieni/Mara/Luce gen (although Luce is older than that)
- the Adra/Ari/Fabi/Trip gen (which also had Mara in it and Adra is older than me)
- the Silente/Gemma/Sophia gen (although Gemma is older than most people)

I want to dedicate this page to a few things.
The first is Sir Terry Pratchett, who died on Thursday, March 12th, at the age of 66, from Alzheimer's disease. He was a great man and a great writer, but most of all he was a good person who would make you laugh and make you cry, and most importantly would make you think, and the world be just that much darker without him in it.

I also want to dedicate to Maralie Lily Charm, my first real internet friend, and one of the best people I've ever met. She deserves the world, and I miss her.
Finally, I want to dedicate to everyone who is struggling to stay alive, or is fighting depression, or hates themselves, but is STILL ALIVE. You're going to be okay, I promise you, and you're going to be glad that you stuck around.
