My Christmas tree is up, the Nightmare Before Christmas decorations hang happily beside the boys from South Park, there are presents... Every time you turn on the MTV Christmas channel you're treated to "All I Want For Christmas" by Mariah Carey...
Soon it will be time for "Love Actually" to appear on TV. I do love "Love Actually", actually.

I was surprised to hear anyone was still interested in the Blogland Awards, tbh. I actually have several more of the trophies done, but have been too lazy to post them (I really can't post images on blogs from my iPad without first setting them as my profile picture, then scrolling past nearly 1500 images in my Picasa Web Albums Blogger Pictures folder, and I usually can't use the computer. I'll type up announcements to go with the trophies I already have and try to get back to you about the rest soon, after I've worked a couple things out and my email is working again. (If you did get the email and reply to it, then sorry I didn't see it). So, um, yeah.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS FOR VARIOUS THINGS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
1) I think it was a crime style TV show and one of the supporting characters died by a land mine. it was sad because it was a type of mine that exploded once the weight shifts, so he had time to say goodbye to his parents(he called). His friends tried to help him, but the guy who put the bomb there glued it so it couldn't be stopped. He sacrificed himself to save his friends and the other people who were in trouble in the first place.
2) It was actually the flower scene in the Hunger Games after Rue's death. That part made me CRY.
3) There were various parts in a book series called Warriors by Erin Hunter where I've cried over the characters dying.
4) I haven't played it, but I've seen those video parts that play between moments: the end of the first Kingdom Hearts when the main characters were separated. The music helped a lot to give me that sad feeling.

@Trip: I'm spending some time in Japan with my friends and relatives there. We're having a party and after Christmas, my friends and I are going to have a secret Santa gift exchange.

I actually did a secret Santa thing this year, but owing to the fact all the participants were male the whole 'secret' thing went out the window pretty fast as no one seemed to be able to summon the conspiratorial effort to keep it up.

5. Double Jeopardy, cannot be tried for the same crime twice (like you killed Jo Schmo then they try you again to get you guilty) Self incrimidation you can remain silent so not to get yourself screwed basically
6. Right to criminals of a speedy trial, with no delays unessesarily, right to an impartial jury, right to an attorney
7. Rights for Civil Cases to be brought before a jury, only for federal courts
8. No excessive bail, no cruel and unusual punishment
9. You have any rights not specifically listsed (like if the Supreme Court interprets something.)
10. Everything else not listed is for the states.
That's the bill of rights. Now, I do know 11-27 but that would take eons to do.

Why have you been studying the finer points of what can only be described as one of the vaguest types of legal document on Earth?
I'm not overly fond of guns, I would love a 28th amendment to repeal the 2nd, but it won't happen.
In order to even hold a convention to do so we need 2/3 of the states to agree to hold it and 3/4 to approve the amendment.
And you see we had the 2nd because in the time of the Founding Fathers, you needed a gun to fend of the Indians or animals and to hunt for food, so it just was needed, now we dont need to hunt but people do.

I'm taking AP US Government and Politics so I had to memorize the 27 Amendments and understand them.
They left things vague but if you look at how the government branches work we have clear instructions.
I mean some things you go...ok.
Like we got the Marada Rights from a crimminal
The man had frequented the criminal system often so one day they got him and never gave the rights so when found guilty he appealed to the Supreme Court and they ordered a retrial and yes he was found guilty but when released he is at a bar and made livings signing cards with your rights listed so some guy kills Maranda and then the police use the card he held to read the killer his rights so then we got Maranda Rights.
