My Christmas tree is up, the Nightmare Before Christmas decorations hang happily beside the boys from South Park, there are presents... Every time you turn on the MTV Christmas channel you're treated to "All I Want For Christmas" by Mariah Carey...
Soon it will be time for "Love Actually" to appear on TV. I do love "Love Actually", actually.

It's probably not a good idea to attend the Blogland Christmas Ball, Mireille Cavendish (aka Fabienne S.) tought to herself. Talking with Aretha before most people had arrived was one thing, going into a room full of people, most of whom would probably not recognize her was another deal entirely. Besides, from what she'd heard, most Bloglandians nowadays were quite focused on relationships, and as she was neither in a relationship, nor particularly anxious to find one, she would probably not fit in.
In the end, she came to the same conclusion as she had about visiting her parents. It was an absolutely horrible idea, and she was going to go for it.
