I have read 500+ pages of TDOTL and I'm literally in the home stretch now. If anyone wants to discuss the book(s) feel free to email me. I am.. surprised, I think, in the direction Derek took this book. I'm very pleasantly surprised. This could just be my favourite Skulduggery Pleasant book. Watching roleplay, one of the most common things I see is insults, honestly. And it frightens me a bit sometimes because what if those insults get through the characters and into the authors? But yeah. I'm, not reconsidering my decision to no longer be an active Bloglandian. I've gotten way more negativeness than positiveness from this place lately, and things really don't look like they're going to turn around any time soon. I'll probably do what I'm doing now, and read through all the comments before I get ready for bed, because there are people here I still care about and all that...
On a happier note, I was glad to hear that people are still interested in The New Challenge. I posted the teams list... For those of you who were wondering, it wasn't/isn't too late.
(With Dragona, it seems after every holiday he gets ill when he returns to college, but not during it. In my holidays, however, I did not get ill. Rather than relaxing, I helped security.)
I'm great. I got the first three books in the maze runner series for $19 today, and I'm like 'SO CHEAP!' And then I started and finished my review for caterpillars while stitching out an embroidery block. And...

I'm not saying authors have no responsibility over what their characters say - they have the choice of what to type with their own hands - but you can't convict one for a charge without applying it to similar cases, also. THat's not fair, and I can see it being hurtful.
I agree wholly with what you're saying about dropping the hurtfulness and mistreating, and thank you for thinking of & enforcing that, but I think it should be directed in 360 degrees, rather than at individual places, kind of?

I have read 500+ pages of TDOTL and I'm literally in the home stretch now. If anyone wants to discuss the book(s) feel free to email me. I am.. surprised, I think, in the direction Derek took this book. I'm very pleasantly surprised. This could just be my favourite Skulduggery Pleasant book. Anyway, the time for discussions will come when we've all read it.
As for now, how are you guys doing?

(@Rose: But in Sophia's character is kind of bluntly stating these cynical interpretations of matters. ANd that's hurtful sometimes. And in my personal opinion, that's where the author's responsibility is, in choosing whether or not to type those things -- but I don't write the rules, so to speak.
Watching roleplay, one of the most common things I see is insults, honestly. And it frightens me a bit sometimes because what if those insults get through the characters and into the authors?
I haven't observed Sophia harassing any one person predominately, so I don't know how to comment on that level.
I just hope that there isn't a situation where it comes to that? I don't know. It just seems to perpetuate itself, like something's being missed. I think there's more to it than... Idk. idk.

I've gotten way more negativeness than positiveness from this place lately, and things really don't look like they're going to turn around any time soon.
