First we heard sirens and helicopters, I'm like: oh crap they found the gunman. Then my brother calls to have us meet and give him his work ID, but meet at the end of the main road of our community. He's a firemen. So we go and see the police tape, the firetrucks...fatal crash: two adults three children dead, the main highway by the crash is still closed.
Then we go out to eat (via backway) and we were going to my mom's gym for a free swim day. Not a soul at the gym. So we're like; uh....? It was as if there wasn't even a party which should have happened. No notifications. We think it was due to the crazy gunman.

On the subject of most wanted criminals, Malcolm Naden, who was Australia's number one most wanted, did all his crimes just 40 or so minutes away from my place. And then he went bush and was stealing guns and what-not from farmers.
There was an whole week where the entire news on every channel was dedicated to his manhunt,
