*She was sitting on Danger, her rock. She named it that because of the last two times she had sat there something bad had happened. It was her favourite rock. She loved it. It was perfect. Someone cleared their throat behind her and she turned, looking up at a man silhouetted against the sun*
Man: Excuse me, Miss Rose, my name is Charcoal Fall. I work for the Polar Sanctuary. You are under arrest.
*She grinned up at him*
Rose: What for this time?
Fall: You don’t remember what happened last time you visited Antarctica, do you?
Rose: You don’t remember how many times people have said that, do you?
Fall: How would I have that knowledge? You are under arrest for attempted murder on our Grand Mage, destruction of our Southern Sanctuary, countless murders of prisoners and staff alike, and violating your sentence stowed upon you by Grand Mage Eclipse.
*She thought about that for a moment*
Rose: That happened years ago. Why are you coming for me now?
Fall: We have only now located your whereabouts and we have been waiting for orders indicating we can use whatever force we deem fit.
Rose: I remember how this ended last time…

*She was led to a large room, the Throne Room, where Grand Mage Eclipse sat, grey thinning hair tucked under his beanie. His Elder robes had been cut off around the elbows and knees, exposing his thin limbs. When he lay eyes on her, a wide, malicious grin cut his features open like a wound*
