This is an invitation only get-together — a party, if you will — with 120 places up for grabs in very special competitions for Ireland and UK readers. You'll get the details of these competitions and other ways to nab yourself an invitation over the next few weeks, so keep an eye on this blog.
But you know I'd never leave the rest of you out of the action COMPLETELY, so we're going to have 250 party packs, jammed full of goodies, ready to send to you so that you can throw your own simultaneous Requiem Ball Parties at home. There'll be loads of stuff to download, whichever far-off country you're in, be it Ame-rica (am I pronouncing that right?) or Burkina Faso (yes, we notice EVERYTHING).
The Requiem Ball is basically my thank you to all of my Minions, for creating such a fun, creative, and frankly down-right crazy community around these books. I want to bring everyone together for one almighty celebration for the final book, and it's going to be EPIC.

It would have been the same with Chase, if he wanted to stop his treatment, we would have had to just accept that because it would have been his choice.
Maybe he just wanted the time he spent with his family before he died to be more than him taking hundreds of pills and barely knowing what was going on.
I guess it could be argued that quality of time is better than quality.
But if he stopped his meds, then he was going to die! He knew it!! He was the baby of my dad's family! 41 years old and he took himself away from everyone!!

He should have just kept taking his damned medicine...
But if he'd taken the medicine, he wouldn't have just kept living as before. Everything would be different, and he may not have wanted to face being weak and subject to constant treatment. He may not have wanted to subject his family to that either.
No, he was strong. He was doing everything he wanted to do. He brought a sword, he brought a Harley and a ute, he fell in love, he didn't have to pay for anything because his mum did. He went on the Puffing Billy.
He did what he wanted to do. He thought that he was better. He was getting there...
He had cancer everywhere and he doomed himself...

Stark is so cool but kinda near-sighted.
He can build an Iron Man suit in a cave, and learn sciences unknown to him in a night, he is determined to perfect his designs, and can improvise well to save his life. And he's a good guy, fighting off aliens with the Avengers.
But ignore films, and tell me what Tony Stark does when he's not Iron Man. The answer is nothing. He doesn't do much. He should be trying to improve the world rather than doing nothing at all. Maybe that's what we'll see in Iron Man 4.
(Space travel? Better anti-alien tech? Better efforts at world peace? You think it, he'll do none of it! Tony Stark, everyone!)

Okay before I sleep, I love Percy Jackson because I can get my fill of mythology with modern twist and I learned a lot, and it is funny. SP is different then that so I can't compare it but I recomend it.
I like Jason and Piper both are cool, Nico was my favorite for so long, I loved him in The Last Olympian. I love that book its so....feelsy but actiony. Like Luke was cool too but...

Percy Jackson is still awesome, though.
I really like Percy's perspective, which is something I've missed in HOO. Occasional third-person chapters really aren't the same.
