When I first saw the cover, I wasn't intelligent enough to think "Hmm. Skulduggery's head's there looking dead." I was just like "Ooh. Skulls. Amazing artwork. :O" And then I read the comments and I was OH YES what the hell is his skull doing lying on the ground looking dead? like !!!!! :/. :( Unfortunately, my sister's sitting just here, so I'd rather not freak out . . . *puts it in the part of my brain that isn't thinking very much and gets back to French, very much concerned about how incredibly small the likelihood is of any of us surving book nine*
. . . I'm never goo with foreboding, because I'm quite optimistic so I tend to thing they could all still be okay. Like, with Taladra recently. And everyone's been crying like "oh my gosh the future's gonna be so shit poor Cara" and I'm just like "Well, I'm sure it'll work out" and am not really bothered. O_o

@Dragona: Yeah . . . :/ But when C was refusing to tell me whether Jason died or not . . . she kept it up for over a day and kept reminding me of it so I couldn't just shove it to the back of my mind. And after a while, I realised I didn't WANT her to tell me, because I really didn't want him to die, and whilst I was not knowing, it was kind of okay because I could believe that he wouldn't die and I couldn't really be upset because I had no proof, and if she told me what happened - I didn't want his death to become reality, you know? :/ And I would rather carry on not knowing, and not have to deal with the fact that he was dead.
This doesn't mean he dies! After all the front cover of LSODM had skulduggery holding valkyrue with the back ground in flames, however that didn't actually happen in the book!
@Silente: But death and destruction, and LSODM . . . it's slowly solidifying for me and becoming more real and I don't want it to. :/ As Skulduggery's head fades out, LSODM fades in, and I would much rather that Skulduggery's head were the one to exist . . .

The endless possibilities there are for their lives in the future aren't there. And that character - you know how it's going to end, how they're going to die, and all the stuff that could have happened, all that they could have become - I'm going to cry soon. :/

Well, I meant someone inspired by you. Coz, so far, everyone is pretty much a fighter and is kinda like Skul/Val, wants adventure. So, I thought maybe a character that still wants adventure, but not as violent and very bubbly. I know it isn't a crime to create a character based on someone, but it feels like theft still to me xD

@Dragona: Well, Zaf has given me permission. And I subconsciously based three characters on three Bloglandians (Trip, Adra, Emerald) I didn't even mean to lol haha :P
I don't like basing characters off people, because I know I will never get them correct - I don't have a lot of faith in impersonations. With Hunter, it's different because I know how his mind works. I know that the kettle boils because it is connected up to the electricity which heats up the water to create steam (link to old metaphor about a kid writing a story about someone in the desert with a kettle and water and they put water in the kettle and turn it on and the water boils, because the kid knows that if you put water in the kettle and switch it on, it boils. It doesn't know why the water boils. And therefore, it thinks it's doing what's normal for that situation, but actually, they're way out). But with other people . . . Nope. :/ If I write about them, I'll get them wrong. If people write about me, they'll get me wrong. And I don't want them to feel uncomfortable by me getting them wrong. So I don't base characters off people I know.
I dedicate this page to, Derek. He wrote SP and finally I read it. Then I came here and realized how amazing he is. He used to comment and I would laugh, and then when he told me off for exploding Ireland, I was scared. You know I guess he taught me one thing, anything really is possible. I never thought I'd talk to someone pretty damn famous, and yet last November he called us on Skype and I know it was epic. And to think he cares enough that when we all asked to be in LSODM, he just said sure and tried. Derek is awesome, and its thanks to him that we all met. Its because his talent of destroying feels.

It's also hot here in the UK.
I mean, sure, they're both equally bad ass, but book Lynx is so much colder than my Lynx. I love it, but I also don't. Book Lynxia is so sarcastic and cold and freaking badass. The first time Luce meets her, she has her hair pulled into a plait, with spiked leather bands holding the locks together and she wears a spiked bralet and a pair of high-waisted shorts. Her lips are blood-red and her eyeliner winged, her icy blue eyes convey indescribable power. She's beautiful in the way that a lion would be; she's deadly and gorgeous. And she's just so demanding of Luci and she hates it, but Lynxia finds it hilarious as she bosses Luci about, doing anything she can to make Luci a better warrior and a better person. But when things become dire, she's one of the first people by Luci's side, an arrow knocked, ready to battle whoever wishes ill of her protégée...

Well, I meant someone inspired by you. Coz, so far, everyone is pretty much a fighter and is kinda like Skul/Val, wants adventure. So, I thought maybe a character that still wants adventure, but not as violent and very bubbly. I know it isn't a crime to create a character based on someone, but it feels like theft still to me xD

I don't like basing characters off people, because I know I will never get them correct - I don't have a lot of faith in impersonations. With Hunter, it's different because I know how his mind works. I know that the kettle boils because it is connected up to the electricity which heats up the water to create steam (link to old metaphor about a kid writing a story about someone in the desert with a kettle and water and they put water in the kettle and turn it on and the water boils, because the kid knows that if you put water in the kettle and switch it on, it boils. It doesn't know why the water boils. And therefore, it thinks it's doing what's normal for that situation, but actually, they're way out). But with other people . . . Nope. :/
If I write about them, I'll get them wrong. If people write about me, they'll get me wrong. And I don't want them to feel uncomfortable by me getting them wrong. So I don't base characters off people I know.
I dedicate this page to, Derek. He wrote SP and finally I read it. Then I came here and realized how amazing he is. He used to comment and I would laugh, and then when he told me off for exploding Ireland, I was scared. You know I guess he taught me one thing, anything really is possible. I never thought I'd talk to someone pretty damn famous, and yet last November he called us on Skype and I know it was epic. And to think he cares enough that when we all asked to be in LSODM, he just said sure and tried. Derek is awesome, and its thanks to him that we all met. Its because his talent of destroying feels.
