Hello Minions.
In case you missed it on my Twitter page, @DerekLandy, I shall repeat what I have twittered-tweeted-whatever, here...
Are you ready for the Year of the Requiem to kick into high gear?
End of the week, the mystery deepens.
You think you might know the identity of Prisoner 270914, but do you have any idea of the danger you, yes YOU, are in? And how much YOU will be needed to stop him?
This Friday, will you take one step closer to finding out?
But tomorrow... TOMORROW we have something you've been waiting for. You've been waiting a LONG time for this. Since the series began... since you started your journey...
Tomorrow, at 4PM on my blog, I will reveal the cover to The Dying of the Light.

OK.
If being away will be better for you, do that. Take care of yourself, Adra.
But if that ever changes, or if you find that maybe that's not the case, we'll be here. Yeah?
All the best. ^^
(Hello Star, how are you?)
(Hello Taia, how are you?)
@Zaf: Um . . . what was that the other day about Adra being a coward and a retard? :P
Okay, Candle. :) I hope you're okay. If you ever need me, you can email me. :)
Hard to let her be alone when you worry she might die.-Zaf
(It seems I disappeared briefly.)
(Welcome back Sophia)
Star- I'm not allowed to say anything due to....well stuff. Put it this way, I experienced uh a few hours of possibly being 1 of 2 living siblings. Not wanting to put anyone else through that! So.....yeah.-Zaf
(Thank you, Edward.
Zafira - and you deemed it necessary to take it out on another person?)
@Zaf: :) Okay. I get that. :/ *hugs*
(@Zaf Dying is not okay.)
brb
@Sophia: .... I think you misundestood what ZAf meant, there? ^^
(okay Ed)
Whether we worry or not Zaf, she needs to do this. For herself.
We can't push up on her or else she'll assume we want to take control of her situation.
But she needs to do this, she needs to know that she has the ability to take back her control herself.
Please, stop.
Just stop having a go at someone else.
It's not pleasant.
Sophia, the events happened AFTER what I said, 24+ hours later, so no. I suggest getting facts straight before accusing. -Zaf
@Sophia: I interpreted it as her realising what it's like to have someone you care about almost die and then change her mind about wanting to put us through that.
When, I can say....I will. For now, I can't.
*sighs*
-Zaf
(I see.
Apologies, Zafira. It appears it is rather automatic for me to assume the worst about people. I am somewhat pessimistic.)
(By "somewhat pessimistic" she means, "a poor outlook on everything". :P)
Good. Now, I am glad that's cleared up.-Zaf
(Back)
(Dragona, long time no see, how are you?)
(I do not need my words clarifying, Dragona.
Welcome back, Edward.)
(welcomes Ed)
(Thanks Sophia)
(Thank ye Chloe)
(Hey Edward! I'm fine, thanks. ^^ You?)
(I be good thanks Dragona)
Hey, Ed - sorry, missed your comment. I'm OK, thanks. ^^
@Em: ... Thank you for being here. Thank you.
(dim problem ^^)
@Sophia : *nods* :/
. . . *nods at Taia's comment about Em* )
My fingers are hurting when I type . . . huh.
(Don't worry about it Taia)
*hugs Star-Bubble's fingers*
(Even by my standards - some of these murderers are atrocious.)
(Have to go, back later)
(Goodbye Edward.)
(byii Ed!)
(c u soon Ed)
Bye, Ed!
(How is everyone?)
(I am doing biology homework that I don't get, so I could be better, you Dragon?)
(I'm fine, thanks. :) )
(good ^^
I hate bloody enzymes! I have to relate their function and properties to their structure but I hardly have any notes on their structure, grrr!)
*looks around suspiciously.*
I'm... I'm being thanked??
Explain??
Average, I think.
So, whatcha doing, Dragona?
(I don't do Biology... Medieval History is my favourite subject. :P Geology in second. :) )
(... Listening to Sophia's choice in music. Which is rather irritating me. God damn it. :P)
(cool ^^ my favourites are English lit and psychology)
(I have had the "luxury" of being present in Dragona's Medieval History and Geology classes and they're both a load of shit.)
(*giggles* that's something you would say Soph, so what do you enjoy?)
(I would have chosen English but mehhhhh too little creative writing for my taste.)
(It is, I wrote a short story about a fighting arena but I think that is as far as itll go. im onto poetry now)
(*starts arranging matches* I've actually done this before in Rl and it was quite fun)
(*laughs* I have never arranged matches before)
(Physics. Out of all the 'school subjects', physics was my favourite.)
@Em: Thank you for being here.
Thank you for being calm, and considerate, and sensible, and respectful.
Thank you for explaining things in this manner, and for being understanding.
Thank you for being here, and taking care, and just, thank you for being you. :)
PHYSICS! YEAH!
(ick, physics is the worst)
Thank you for that Taia but I just know what she's going through.
And people need to just realise that you can't snap out of depression and need to give Adra or anyone else the space to be able to try and take back control.
It's a power struggle and wills and strengths can be broken. Mine included.
(Physics is good. Especially in 2178.)
( :P )
@CHloe: ... I thought you took physics at college to begin with? :P
sorry, btw.
I'm trying to find a particular circuit diagram on the past papers, because the one in my notes, I'm pretty sure isn't right, but idk how I'd draw it correctly because voltmeters are goddamn choosy.
(well I dropped it and im glad^^
the lecturer was an arrogant twit and ugh...I just hated it)
(YES BUT MEDIEVAL HISTORY. :(
THE ONLY LESSON WHERE YOU CAN LEARN ABOUT PEOPLE BEING DECAPITATED AND STUFF AND IT BEING PERFECTLY NORMAL.
We were once doing an exercise with some extracts from a book.
One started talking about Henry II and then went off on a complete tangent with, "And whores waited expectantly around the gatehouses, and fornication was the norm."
...
It was rather unexpected.)
(Please tell me, Dragona. How historically accurate was the video you watched with the Blacksmith wearing a pink dress? As a percentage?)
(I would've taken history but I didn't have enough space)
(.....................
Well that's a strange topic to arrive to.)
@Em: *nods*
*nods again*
But, I mean, thank you for explaining that. Like, for helping us to understand that?
I'm glad you've been to do that, and that you chose to do so in the way that you did. ^^
(MAYBE ABOUT FOUR PERCENT BUT IT WAS STILL PRETTY FUNNY.
Join us, Chloe! Join usssss!
There's like a huge war between the Medieval Historians and the Modern Historians over which is better.
Like Geology vs Geography.
SO MUCH DEBATING.)
(*makes a dog* you should consider trying it sometime Chloe,it is rather relaxing (I've only done it once) )
(Indeed, Blake.)
(okay Rhos ^^
and it is too late to change options now anyways)
(hey Blake, how art thou?)
* been here to
-
XD
I liked medieval history, but we only did it year 7. :(
I didn't really like the rest of history much.
Probably would've taken English, if I'd had space, myself, though. :) ^^
(Confused. Why are Dragona and Sophia talking about blacksmiths in tu-tus?)
@Chloe: Having bad teachers sucks. :/
I can't imagine I'd have taken physics with a teacher different to mine.
I'm glad you're glad you dropped it. :)
Hi, BLake!:)
@Dragona: *laughs* :P
@Blake: ...Because Medieval History? :P
That.... doesn't strike me as very historically accurate.
(Medieval History is so funny.
Like Henry II Count of Champagne.
Who was the King of Jerusalem.
He died.
He fell from a first-floor window at his palace.
HOWEVER, the fall didn't kill him.
There are accounts which suggest his servant, a male dwarf named Scarlet, fell on top of him.
He was crushed by a falling dwarf.
And that's what killed him.)
@Blake: I think that's Sophia's point, see. :)
(That's hilarious XD)
@Dragona: xD
... HOW, though? o0
(*cold* *freezing* *shivering and goosebumps*)
(I think the balcony may have collapsed or something. Idk. :P
Oh and Frederick Barbarossa. His entire reason for going on a Crusade was to do something meaningful before he died.
He drowned in a river.)
(*huggles Sil* how art thou, silly?)
(Hello, Silente. *hugs her*)
(Hey there Blake)
(that's a new one on me, being killed by a dwarf)
(that sounds like a stupid death from horrible histories)
(Hello Blake and Sil)
*gives Sil a long, warm hug*
(*hugs soph and flick back*
@Flick not the best...the voices in my head are..well they're trying to make me make a decision I'll regret...)
(*hugs Tia back*)
*hugs Silente and hands her a blankeT*
@Dragona: xD
@Chloe: it does XD
(aww Sil, my email is open. do you want to talk about it?)
Oh, Sil.. :/
(Its okay..I won't do anything stupid...I'm not that stupid...not tonight anyway. Other nights I'm that stupid but not tonight...my friend ran half a mile for me..)
Sil, email...
(Sil *huggles* don't you dare do something stupid, I am here to listen)
(*huggles back* no stupid. I can manage that..well, until I sleep.)
(Aww Sil *offers brownies* remember that my email is open, im no good at cheering people up, but I am one hell of a good listener)
(Back, and medieval history is best)
*huggles Sil*
(welcomes Ed ^^)
(Thank ye Chloe)
(dim problem bach ^^)
("voltmeter and ammeter positioned correctly with power supply (1)"
YES BUT
WHA T IS CORRECTLY
HOW IS THAT, PLEASE? D: )
*hugs Silente* Good.
EAch day as it comes, I suppose.
(I. hate. enzymes.)
(Why Chloe?)
(because I have to answer this ten mark question, relating their function and properties to their structures. I have notes on the properties and their function, but hardly anything on structure...I hate this!)
(Ah, have you tried google?)
(yep -_- I have come up with like one point, I can think of another but I don't know if it is correct.)
(What is your other point?)
@Chloe: Agh, I think my friend was doing something along those lines the other week.
Unfortunately, that's my friend, not me, so I can't help you. SOrry. :/
(don't worry Taia ^^
my other point is that enzymes have a tertiary structure, so they are stabilised by different bonds. enzymes are temperature sensitive because a change in temp can break these bonds and change their shape, denaturing them)_
(I think that is correct, we did some work on enzymes in our last biology module)
(okay Thanks ^^
im so going to beat my lecturers ass in circuits next week for giving me this damn question)
(Well, good luck. May he never give homework again.
And on that note, I must depart, bye)
(... Hell. I'm just going to not put in a voltmeter, like everybody else
And then I'll get those repeat questions wrong
Like everybody else
And then I'll get the correct answers
Like everybody else.
OR I will not do that and feel confused and uncomfortable
But that won't kill me either.)
@Chloe: From what I DO know, that sounds correct, to me. :)
C.1850 to 1970 is the best period of history in my opinion. Everything was big.
(byii Ed !
and thanks taia ^^)
(I would say pay the cost to be right. It'll be awesome.)
(Hey Trip!)
OR I could go see sir
And be like
Hey
Wtf?
BUt then I risk the
"Why didn't you ask any sooner?"
line
And that's not cool. :P
*not talking to anybody in particular*
*it just helps to run these options though in words*
*and I'm here, so they just get typed and posted, because I don't filter them back out*
@Trip: That's a fair opinion. :)
(im like that^^
ididnt know what question to answer until tonight.
I would have seen my lecturer today, but I thought he would say that to me ^^)
Heya. How are all the peeps?
(I am frustrated, tired...but im talking to you guys and Rhos, which always makes me smile ^^ how art thou?)
(It seems I disappeared briefly.)
(welcomes Soph ^^)
(Thank you, Chloe.)
(dim problem bach ^^)
(Well, I have a little voice at the back of my head saying 'destroy everything!' which is left over from warhammer club (mixing meglomania and power never really ends well :P) and that's distracting me from how much I miss Adra, which is always nice.
So overall, roughly balanced out.)
(ah *huggles Trip*)
Np, Chloe. I hope it goes alright. :) ^^
Bye, Ed!
@Trip: I will bear that in mind. :P
@Chloe: Yeah. ^^
THis is for a test last period tomorrow, though.
So I can go at lunch, but he told us about the test, like, mid-October, since it was originally going to be a few weeks earlier.
I could say I just didn't NOTICE it, until now? Which is technically true. :P
Hey trip,
you play warhammer? Which system do you play?
(I'm going to give a nerd warning now to everyone)
(that's a good plan Taia ^^)
(*cuddles* She's doing the right thing, I just wish that it wasn't. I'll be fine, but powerlessness is never nice.)
(NERDS ARE THE BEST KIND OF PEOPLE)
(I know Trip, a friend of mine irl wants to die...and I cant do anything to help him)
*huggles Trip and Chloe and Taia*
Hello...
...
(*huggles Kas* how art thou bach?)
I'm primarily a 40K player, and I prefer 5th edition. However one or two things were missing from that, and I can't say I absolutely hated everything in 6th, so at my club we use a system we call Domestic Butterknife, which is something of a 5.5.
I'm trying to break into Fantasy with a completely Night Goblin army, but it's just too expensive, you know?
Chloe...
Average.
...
How are you?
...
*huggles Gar* Hello. How is your evening?
(Im alright, im getting tired...but im too busy listening to music and talking to sleep)
(Take solace in the fact that you can at least hug him when he's feeling down. I don't want to do that thing where people try and one up each other on how bad their situation is, just something that might help.)
Hey Tia.
(I may be back soon.)
Chloe :) no sleep is best sleep until you're asleep. *nods wisely*
Hello, Trip. *huggles* How are you?
(yea )
(Cool. Come back soon.)
(Ok, see you soon, Soph!)
I'm OK, TRip, thanks. :)
(Originally, that was phrased differently.
BUt then I got all pedantic,
And started ranting about the phrase 'All things considered', because how can you consider everything, when there's an infinite number of things?
And it just got messy and irrelevant, and all I wanted to say was that, vectorially, I'm OK. :) )
@CHloe: Hopefully, I won't chicken out of it, then. :P / :)
*hugs Trip* :/
*hugs Chloe, too*
(racism sucks...)
(tjhats good advice bach ^^)
I could probably complain, but I won't, Tia.
Taia! *hugs* How are youuu? How is your revision??
(the hobby is expensive,
I'm also a 40k player, i find the 6th ed rules alright 7th is ok bit of a ball ache in places,
what army do you play trip?)
(*huggles Tia* I'm happy thank you and my evening has been going good thank you, how be you and how has your evening is going?)
(Racism does suck.)
(racism sucks Kas :/)
Wbd watching Breaking Bad,
Take care, :)
*hugs Tia back*
I'm cool, thanks. :)
REvision is going slowly. There's one thing I don't know and can't currently find out, but I keep not just moving on. :P
But, could be a lot worse, so... :)
How're you?
wbd/msd - past papering some more.
(I'm an Eldar player, really. In 5th edition I was just so attracted to their aesthetic and ridiculous psychic powers. And I think that their translation into the newer rules has made me live them more, really. Even if I dislike some of the newer fluff in places, and wraith knights which are just an affront to everything the Eldar stand for, I can't really fault the rules. You?)
(I love Michael McIntyre's welsh impression XD)
*love them more
(I think the spice cupboard routine is my favourite. I am faaiivespiice. XD)
(I'm a imperial fists player
i do have some chaos and orks aswell,
i have a friend who plays eldar and i have the codex (old and new) i think the wraithknight isn't that bad its pretty cool but it is like a wraithlord on steroids)
(I'll have to watch Michael McIntyre's welsh impressions sometime Chlo)
(yes you must Rhos, look up his sketch 'bread of heaven')
*laughs* I don't watch Michael McIntyre.
Maybe could take a look at those some other time, though. :)
(if I poof its beaacues my computer is playing upp)
*because
(ok Chloe (in both cases) I'll look it up now)
brb)
(infact, im calling it a night
nos da/good night
sweet dreams everyone)
(It's why I hate it so much. The wraithlord was an affordable and balanced way to make an Eldar army tough, without going overboard on the explosions. See, a wraithlord looke so threatening and big compared to everything around it, all non-veterans would empty everything at it and due to how tough it was it could probably survive. Meanwhile, the rest of the squishy army would advance without getting shredded. But the wraith knight is unnecessarily big and shoots. It just disrespects the whole ideology of an Eldar army, because basically the only thing you can do with it is hold ground or advance while killing everything in it's path. There's no thought involved! Eldar have always been about precision, but the wraith knight is just an ungainly brute. I really hate it.)
(Sleep well.)
Alright, Chloe. SLeep well!
wbd/msd
(back)
(i see what you mean trip (although I've never played eldar) they fo require skill and the wraith lord is a bitch (in a good way) its like centurions for marines, they look cool and hit hard but die quite quickly (true fact)
(Good night Chloe)
(Hello El, how be you?)
(I am back.)
I know, Elleni. Since she shut down TLC, I've sent her a hug, which I kind of regretted doing, really. It was pretty selfish of me.
She needs to be away from us, we don't help. We're just a constant reminder of what was lost.
(That's the great thing about wraithlords, they die slowly. They just soak up damage like nobody's business. Personally, I think centurions were kind of unnecessary, what with dreadnoughts and all.)
Salutatuons!
(yup i know you feel, although their grav cannons make them worth it (sometimes) )
(welcome back soph)
(something else unnecessary Logan grimnar on his sled, he just looks daft as hell on that)
(Hello again Spider, how be you? and long time no speak my friend)
Hello Tea.
Also, I feel less good now. I found out about Zafira's little display.
Aye, I've never been what one might consider "regular."
I am rather more enthusiastic than normal, though none of the recent events to befall me justify that in any way. How are you?
Oh good. It's always nice to have a little boost.
I'm awfully sorry to hear that, Trip, though I know not the "display" of which you speak.
I never was a fan of tea. The drink, of course. Spiders, on the other hand, I have no emotions towards either way. This is no way to judge a person whose name simply happens to be a combination of two objects I hold mixed feelings towards, but this seems as good an entrance as any. Hello.
I'm really happy for many reasons,
2 reasons why: on Saturday I'm meeting up with a friend from blogland and the ship Garky sails soon (Garrett (me) and Inky flame's author ship)
Hello, Garrett. I'm glad to see you're feeling happy.
People get mad all the time Ellie, don't over think it.
Contrariwise, I'm not particularly fond of tea or spiders, though I tolerate both of them. I just wanted to change my name from that of my character, and this is what came out. I had, however, recently had a dream involving the 23rd Annual Arachnids Tea Party shortly before I took the name. Or was it shortly after...? I really can't recall.
Sooner or later, I imagine I'll have to select an alias and stick to it.
Oh no Inky, I'm not angry at you, don't worry. There's only one person here I could be justifiably angry about.
Hello Blake. I trust you are well?
I'm sorry to hear that, Elleni. I do hope things are sorted out soon.
Hello Blake how be you?)
(my earlier comment about how i was feeling was for tea spider)
I am not entirely certain the Arachnids Tea Party is an actual event, but I suppose I will take your word on it. As for your dilemma Ellie, I am sorry. I wish there was something I could do to help.
Sorry, that was a silly misinterpretation. And if this person is Adra or Zaf, then you don't.
"Well" is an interesting word. Alright I'm tired of talking all proper, sounds great and sophisticated and stuff but blagh it takes longer and doesn't sound like me. I'm fine, Trip.
Please forgive my bluntness, but you don't seem to be an arachnid. Therefore, if such a party would take place, you would likely not be invited.
Excellent. And I'm glad to see you're being yourself.
*Shadows form into eight long spindly legs protruding from his back, which lift him off the ground*
You make a good point but I'm sure I could weasel my way in if it really mattered.
Honestly, Trip, there's nobody else I would rather be. It makes me sad that a lot of people don't say that about themselves.
