Oh, and for all those who have been asking me to release a chapter from The Dying of the Light early, like I did with a few of the other books, Armageddon Outta Here is the only place you'll find it, right after all the previously published short stories, the rare short stories, The End of the World, and brand new stories featuring the Dead Men, Gordon Edgley, Valkyrie and vampires, and a story-that-turned-into-a-novella, Get Thee Behind Me, Bubba Moon.
Oh, and this is for the people who like their videos to fit their webpages a little bit better...
Pffft.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 4054 Newer› Newest»Silente is here also. Hullo, Silente. How are things in the pocket of your own sensations and perceptions known as your life?
Hey Star...am I hallucinating? There appears to be a high Death and a Low Clara...
"How are things in the pocket of your own sensations and perceptions known as your life?"
I like that. :)
I MISSED FIVE LESSONS OF BIOLOGY WHEN I WAS AWAY AND IT WAS THE BEST TOPIC EVER AND I WAS CRYING BECAUSE I LOVE THAT TOPIC WHY DID I MISS IT I KNOW I CAN LEARN THE STUFF BUT THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IT GOING TO YOUR HEAD AND GOING TO YOUR HEART WHY HASN'T SOMEONE RECORDED THE LESSONS FOR ME
Are you implying that Death and I are psychically linked?
@Silente: Um, yeah, they're there . . .
Go Anni!!! Whooo!!!
I think I'm alright... Ny brain is being a firetruck siren. Were ooo were ooo weeee oooo weeeee oooo weeee oooo!
Hullo Clara..
Well I'm alive and well so everything's good here...
Are you okay darlin?
Ah, Biology. When I learned Biology, I was utterly miserable because I preferred Chemistry. Now, in my status as a Statistics student, I wish I could return to Biology. At least I would enjoy the Osmosis sections now.
No I'm not suggesting your mentally linked
Um... Rose... Are you okay...?
Linguistically speaking, Annika, that is a very imaginative, though non-standard, approach to word meaning. Though, philosophically speaking, almost... ridiculous. Linguistic philosophers would probably generate a flimsy argument for such a claim, however. Perhaps you could argue with language games for such a thing to be correct...? Though it is easily argued for most things linguistic...!
U think in more odd a pyschixs person!
I think by brain us scaring itself.... Ours having little furs...
The world is a desolate morass of impenetrable black void, in which I am but a dust speck, floating, without even a beam of sunshine to illuminate me and my swirling fellow dust specks, making us into something beautiful and vaguely hipster.
SILENTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEE! *covers in ribbon*
@Clara .... Er......
*starts playing 'Dont worry about a thing'*
*pusixhz... The smart energy thingy!
Why sows keyboard jave to be so spiny!
LUCIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
*covers in glitter*
Music is one of the great joys in life, when not polluted by auto-tune and popularity polls. As a great philosopher once said:
"Music is great."
*shakes her head in bewilderment*
Only in blogland.
Can someone help me come up with a decent whole blog rp. I want to do something that isn't solely fighting but can involve everyone..
^hugs Anni*
I do not know what that means, Silente, you will have to clarify that.
*feels bad about not role-playing as often as I once did*
*the reason is that I don't have as much time as I used to*
*and I don't want to do that role-play and have it be horrible*
*I want to give it 200%*
*and I just can't do that right now*
I think I might do sleep now... Brain goins wired... Like, propaganda! Perish! Poohs! Bam! Whachau! Kaboom! Dead....
@Clara: My biology teacher is the best teacher in the universe. Like, C was away for two lessons, and I was telling her what she'd missed, and I told her that myelin sheaths insulate the nerves to stop the impulses getting confused, and she was like okay. She understood it. And then I told her that Sir had said, imagine if none of the classrooms had walls, and whilst he was teaching us, we could hear all the noise from all the other classrooms, and maybe we'd stop paying attention and listen to the next class instead, and how it was all be noisy, and that myelin sheaths keep the impulses in their own rooms.
And she was like OHHHH.
And you know those 'OHHHH' moments?
They're what're special.
Also the fact that occasionally in top set lessons we start going on about stuff that's outside the curriculum and it's really interesting and CGP, wonderful though it is, will not tell me that.
And this TOPIC.
I love this TOPIC.
And it's like -
I do nine science topics this year. Three chemistry, three physics, and three biology. That's a ONE IN NINE CHANCE of missing this topic and I missed it and I just want to cry now because I'm an overly emotional pathetic person.
Yeah. :P Sorry.
I like chemistry as well, though. :) Chemistry's really interesting and our teacher is also good.
My chemistry teacher is actually one of my best teachers. :)
(And I know I shouldn't judge the subject on the teacher, but the subject pretty much IS the teacher, which is why I get annoyed at German and physics.)
Dm Clara, just this current situation....
I mean, we have fighters here. We have robots. We have fugitives. We have healers and sensetives and Loki and carzy people...
And rp that suits us all may be hard to come up with...
I don't really RP, sorry Silente. <3
OHA:OSAKNS<A<S -
@Silente: NO IDEA.
If I did, I would have done it by now, because I've been saying we need a plot like that for months. But a) I'm rubbish at roleplaying and b) no ideas. D:
However, if I think of anything, I'll tell you. :)
Things involving dimensions are generally good. Like when we had an alternate dimension where we met different version of ourselves but several years in the future, and it was really interesting seeing the variation.
Obviously you have a normal person who wants to be nice to everyone, but Loki mind-controls them and uses them to commit a crime. Now the robots are after him, and he must team up with a group of badass fighter and fugitives to combat the robots and their team of hit men. They are also trying to track down Loki, and use a Sensitive to find him.
Hmm...dimensions....
Okay. Good rp's. What to do they have?
Or you could have a team of fighters and their kooky robot side-kick leading a revolution against Loki's regime of terror, but it turns out that one of them was a traitor and mind-controlled by Loki all along. Now all of them are captured, and it's up to one lone Sensitive to break them out of Loki's impenetrable prison.
@Silente: Yeah, but people can branch off. Like that roleplay I just mentioned - Ari started that, and it was meant to be a world that was better than this one, perfect, where people were happy. And I can't imagine how it was meant to go, but stuff was meant to go this way or that way, and there were going to be morals and everything, but then we ran away with it and had so many plotlines branching off it and took it in loads of different directions.
Also, that was in the days when I roleplayed even less than I do now - in fact, I didn't roleplay - so I didn't participate it any of it and just had fun reading it so I have no idea why I'm speaking as 'we', but . . . :P
Or you could have Loki in a prison guarded by robots, and in order to get out he uses a scepter to control a Sensitive, who he makes go out and use his powers to pit a lot of badass fighters against each other so that the robots will be distracted and Loki can escape.
@Clara how do you come up with this stuff?
@Star I suppose that is a good point. It won't follow a set plan. Bloglands too wibbly wobbly for that.
@Silente: Okay.
Interesting on an emotional level. Like, characters get emotional about this or that. Emotional reactions are the best.
Things for everyone to do, people to be included. If people get left out, that's a bit sucky - it's best whenever everyone can jump in, although that's easy to solve because people can just step out of the shadows.
Um . . .
Most of the making of a good roleplay depends on the roleplayers themselves and how they react and deal with things and how it evolves. :/
Idk. If I could create roleplay, I would have. :)
Or you can have an alternate universe where instead of magical disciplines, all the characters in Skulduggery Pleasant drive anime-style mechas (giant robots) and so they all team up to fight Loki who has the biggest mecha and is trying to take over the world.
Or you can have a group of friends who happen to be badass fighters, but Loki mind controls one of them and uses him to slowly break down each of the characters' sanity levels, until their friendship shatters, and then they are killed one by one by a Sensitive in a robot.
@Silente: BECAUSE SHE'S CLARA.
@Silente: Yeah. If you're expecting it to all stay in line neatly, you'll fail or it'll fail. That's why I suck at roleplaying, because I like to have everything just correct, I think, and can't adapt easily. :)
Blogland is perfect, though.
CLARA STOP BEING PERFECT
Or you can have Loki assemble a ground of badass fighters to go and take down Blogland, and a shy and nerdy Sensitive is the only one who can foresee the attack. No one believes him because he has a penchant for crying wolf, so he takes it upon himself to build a robot army to lead against Loki. He destroys Loki and Loki's team of fighters, ravaging Blogland in the process. It's a villain origin story.
Well...
What about
Okay what if someone was banished to a different dimension? (We'll figure out the reason why later) Then bloglandians would most likely go after them. Depending on what the other dimension was like that could involve everyone...
Right?
Or you can have a robot who is having an existential crisis because it is aware that it was created and that its life is not its own. Then it meets Loki, and they strike up a bond because the scepter does not work on the robot. The robot is the only thing that Loki cannot control. So they build up a bond of mutual trust, and have to work together when a gang of badass fighters swarm Asgard and try to capture it and add it to Blogland.
ALSO, it would be better if it was problems that couldn't be resolved by fighting. Like, Alastair can basically win any fight he wants to, but he can't look after Adra by fighting, so he has to do it very carefully with emotions and consideration and basic human interaction skills and it's really hard for him.
Or you could have Loki go to an alternate dimension where all the characters are robots. He sees opportunity here, so he returns to Blogland and collects an entourage of badass fighters. Then he leads them into an attack on the robot world.
And that's all I've got.
@Silente: *nods*
@Annika: Yes, but you're thinking specifically. You'd have to have someone to play each character and the story would have to follow through and we'd all have to put things in the correct place to make it work.
Which is good for soloing, but I don't really see that flowing smoothly with a big group of us. However, I'm quite pessimistic. :)
Also, I can't write essays.
*Actually, yeah - I could work better than I implied . . . *thinkssssss*
Alternate dimensions are quite good, yes. :)
*is currently pacing her livingroom irl*
Okay. We have the person being banished, this can be made emotional depending on the character.
Then the alternate dimension is obviously going to be designed to hurt/challenge the one who gers banished. So that's either violent or just a complicated place. Or a place that effects there specific weaknesses...
Hmm...
*it
-_-
@Silente: YESSSSSSSSSs . . .
Designing alternate places. Hard. :/
DECIDE ON THE PERSON FIRST I THINK
Good morning, afternoon, evening, or other time of day, Blogland.
Okay. I have a person in mind. Well a character in mind. And a reason as well. Then I know at least two people who would follow. Possibly more. Because it'd set off a chain reaction of 'im following such and such'
Hmmm.
Notice how I'm extending the last letter of my words just after speaking to Mushroom.
(*mutters about associations and layers in people's minds*)
Hey Sir. :)
Yeah. Like, some characters would follow just to prove they could, or because it would be fun.
Apologies for vanishing! I'm wearing in a pair of heels. :P
@Mushroom: Okay. :) Good luck?
Exactly star!
Now to figure out this alternate dimension part. And when best to start this rp..
Greetings, Ms. Inkbright, Ms. Tempest, Ms. Crowley, Ms. Scáth, and whoever else may be here.
@Silente: JUST WHENEVER
Actually, our evening/afternoon seems to be best . . .
*laughs* Thanks, Star. :P
It's more about endurance than luck though... You just endure a little bit of pain and save yourself hell when you wear them out. :3
Hello Sir.
Okay so there has to be some hostile creatures there to entertain the fighters, after all we have A LOT of fighters atm. There also need to be something for people who don't fight much and parts that fighting can't solve.
If its for the particular banished person then it'd need to have some violence in anyway but...
*has a vague idea for the creatures who live there* and they....okay idea.....Star I might email you in a bit btw
HELLO SIR! *waves*
*runs off a moment to scribble stuff down*
@Mushroom: Well, good luck with the enduring? :P
Okay, Silente. :) My inbox is open.
*poke inbox*
MY SCHOOL INBOX IS ALSO OPEN AND MY BIOLOGY TEACHER HASN'T EMAILED ME BACK YET
None of my other teachers have emailed my either, except for my history teacher.
Okay then.
*me
*Slithers in to hug Sir*
*Had Shammy today*
*Slithers out*
*OhKAY then.
Adraaaaaaaaa. :) *manages to jump on her and hug her before she slithers out*
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay for Shammy! :)
^^There I go extending my letters again.
(It's a subconscious thing, btw.)
...
Quite.
Thank you for the hug, Ms. Dark.
*Kind of more OhhhhKAY then!
And that WAS an conscious extension, and a necessary one.
I apologize profusely for vanishing so suddenly.
Don't worry, Clara, I do it all the time. :)
It is of no consequence, Ms. Crowley, do not fret.
Yes, well, I prefer not to, if I can help it.
*Slithers in*
*Whispers* Of course, Sir! *Gives him a friendly kiss on the forehead* *Cuddles gently again*
*Slithers out*
I meant not to vanish. I am a natural fretter.
...
Indeed, Ms. Dark.
Very well, Ms. Crowley.
@Clara: I don't think many people prefer to. D:
*waves to Adra*
Well. Fretting is good in some ways.
Well, I am a card-carrying nervous wreck. Fretting comes with the territory.
Wasn't there a character in Skulduggery Pleasant called Fretting?
I think there was.
I haven't slept in two days.
...
My sympathy, and condolences, Ms. Crowley. I have been suffering from a similar set of circumstances, though I suspect the cause for my insomnia is dissimilar to yours.
@Clara: :/ :/
And - I don't know.
And - :( :( :( *hugs* Sleeeeeeep.
Well, not knowing who you are or where your from, your cause for insomnia could be anything from a bad grade on a test to cannibalism in Paupa New Guinea. Mine is related to the general sense of disillusionment with the universe that I mentioned in a pervious comment.
*I meant to say previous, not pervious. My previous comment does not allow water to pass through it. At least not without significant damage to the computer screen.
@Clara: My brain's autocorrect made me read it as 'previous', anyway, so it's fine. :)
Ah, I see. In those situations, my author usually prefers a mug of the beverage of their choice, and a good song or movie.
Mmm. That's a good idea. For my birthday, one of my presents was a Welcome to Night Vale mug. It has the eye on it, and the words "Night Vale Community Radio." I don't know if either are you are fans of that podcast, but if you were, you would think that was cool.
I'm not, but I'm socially out of touch so I don't count. :)
*YOU'RE
I just scrolled up at my previous comment, and I said your instead of you're. Even if you two did not point it out, I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS.
*meekly* Sorry.
Sherlock: "You do count. You've always counted."
Of course. Counting a skill taught from a very young age.
@Clara: Like I said, brain autocorrect, but I SHOULD HAVE NOTICED AND POINTED IT OUT BECAUSE I ONLY TOLERATE SUCH A THING WITH DIFFICULTY. :O
And - thank you. :) I'm an outlier, though, so I might screw up your results a bit. :P
Counting is*
I do apologize, I never should have made such a glaring error.
@Sir: Yes, my brain's autocorrect missed that as well. :P
I CAN count. I just DON'T.
*slams fists on table*
*sparks blaze from my eyes*
*frightening voice of demonic death* DO NOT SPEAK TO BE ABOUT OUTLIERS AND RESULTS.
I HAVE BEEN DOING STATISTICS FOR A MONTH NOW, AND IT IS ROTTING MY SOUL FROM THE INSIDE OUT UNTIL THERE WILL BE NOTHING LEFT BUT A DEATH-EYED SHELL OF MY FORMER SELF, SAYING YOUR INSTEAD OF YOU'RE AND QUOTING BIEBER INSTEAD OF SHAKESPEARE.
SPEAK NOT OF STATISTICS. IT WEARIES ME.
*cough*
Thank you.
...
Of course, Ms. Crowley.
@Clara: . . .
. . .
. . .
okay
*awkward silence*
*Coughs*
I feel really informal with you two formal people. :P
Cricket: *cheep cheep*
I apologize.
Silence, cricket.
Cricket: *looks sad*
Hello everyone!
Greetings, Ms. Holmes.
Hullo, Mithria. It's been a while.
Counting is not necessarily a skill which we learn after birth, after all the concept of numbers themselves may actually be innate.
It is impossible to genuinely experience a number. Though it is possible to experience collections of objects which correlate to numbers, they themselves are not the actual number. Nor is the written form of a number - that is merely a representation.
We have not once experienced numbers, yet are capable of recognising four phones as being four phones or two words as being two words etc.
Therefore implying that numbers and counting are not necessarily taught; they're innate abilities.
Aw.
*hugs cricket*
Hey Mith! :)
Welcome back, Luciana. How are the heels?
Good afternoon, Sir. *nods*
*smiles at Anni*
Yes, you're right... I haven't been on much lately...
Starry! *hugs* Hi! :)
@Mushroom: O_O
Wow.
(sorry just addressing that because it was bugging me:P)
HELLO ANYONE WHO APPEARED! *hugs*
Cricket: *sad cheeping*
Cheep to English Translation: In China, I was good luck. In Blogland, I'm . . . a punch line.
The heels are fab! They make me look tall and my legs look even more incredible than usual. :P
They're stupidly comfortable too. ^_^
Star: *doesn't speak cricket* *but can understand sadness* *carries on hugging cricket*
I love OAG's cover of boyfriend, it makes me laugh. Hate the actual song itself but that's not the point.
@Mushroom: Yaaaaaaaaay! :)
Hey Luce!
And Hi Silente! Should I try to hug you again? :P
No you shouldnt Mir. But hey, how are you?
*grins at Silente*
I'll try again sometimes anyway!
I'm fine, thanks! You?
I'm fine thanks.
If you hug me I eat you.
*shrugs*
Good point, Silente...
Hey Chlog
brb
Yea it is a good point Mir.
. . .
I'm on a video where Slipknot's vocalist is going on about how great Justin Bieber is.
Like, what?
Wbd/msd. Going to actually do some editing now...!
Star, you're joking, aren't you?
@Mithria: I AM NOT EVEN.
Let me show you. O_O
*goes to find link*
Im back *yawns*
last night's prom was fun but exhausting! Ive been reading The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong all say
Your on a slipknot video?
Mbd/msd
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KtBPyL7yVI
O_O
About two minutes in?
I'm just . . . O_O
@Silente: Video of Slipknot's vocalist being interviewed. Yeah.
@Chloe: Oh, Adra likes that! :) Hey!
I apologize again for vanishing. I think it's best if I depart.
*departs*
0_0
Star, this is kinda disturbing...
It is a good book series :) How u doin?
@Mith: I KNOW. O_O
Although, that was a couple of years ago - nowadays, we have the whole thing with Justin Bieber being an awful person, so . . . yeah.
I really hope he has changed his mind by now!
@Mith: Not knowing Corey Taylor personally, I couldn't say . . . :P But yeah.
Although, that wouldn't be hating his music, that would be hating him as a person, which is really as bad as liking someone musically because they're attractive.
Um... yeah, I guess you're right, Star.
*facepalms*
*looks if Hunter is around*
*mumbles* Left. Left left left...
And then I go into the comments and people are having a discussion like the ones me and C have and won an award for. :O
On YOUTUBE. O_O
Oh my gosh.
There is something wrong with YouTube today. :O
He says he's always here. But he isn't if I don't think about him.
Well, I sorta always think about Hunter when you're here... maybe that's enough for him to be here...
Anyway, I gotta go now...
See you soon, I hope!
And Hunter: LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT! :D
Bye! :)
Byii Mithria
Fours, Mith! :(
Hunter smiles and says thanks. :)
Look you, huddling together on this blog, fangirling.
@Loki: . . .
About what?
The post. Pathetic, as usual.
@Loki: Oh. I didn't fangirl. And no one has on this page. And the last page was the first page, so it abides different rules.
Fangirling is fun. You get to jump and scream and cry and....well....fangirl in general.
@Silente: FANGIRLING IS AMAZING. :) :) :) *agrees*
I could imagine fangirling over fangirling in all honesty...
You are all mad.
Hello.
Indeed we are Loki! Bonkers! Nutty! Loonies!
Embrace your inner lunatic, fun times guaranteed!
Hey Dragona!
(Hey Silente!)
*looks at Loki*
This unit has no data corruptions.
It appears I must leave, goodbye Midgardians.
How are you Dragona? How's your day been?
I can't wait till tonight!
@Loki: I know. :P
Hey Dragona!
I REALLY NEED to get on with my English now. O_O
DO YOUR ENGLISH WORK STAR!
'SHARD SILENTE! D:
"And I'm not saying I'm a fan, but . . . but the kid's got talent. He's got more talented than a lot of the bands who are signed out there, and . . . you know, you may hear the autotuning in his voice, but he doesn't NEED it."
. . .
What.
*He's more
It's okay. They see the light now. They know he's a...yeah.
Well. Hopefully. O_O
Sorry I poofed.
@Dragona: 'Sokay. :)
I was distracted by Pringles.
(Hey Chione! How are you?)
Hey Chi! how arw you?
Pringles are dustracting.
*wonders when to syart*
Pringles are awesome.
**are
**distracting
**start
Oh dear... *needs to ded*
Hey guys what time between now and Sunday is blogland the busiest?
@Silente: It depends.
Depends upon what?
@Silente: A NUMBER OF FACTORS.
Like, real life stuff. The times people come on depends on real life stuff. Like, having heels to break in, and you don't predict that kind of stuff very well.
Good point...
On average?
. . .
*can't timekeep :P*
*rolls her eyes*
Okay then..
*as you might be able to tell, has little patience*
I dedicate this page to the following:
1. Pringles.
2. The Blogland Awards - just because I think it's important to give people who make Blogland what it is some kind of recognition for what they do and who they are.
3. Pizza. Whoever invented the pizza was a genius. Because yeah it's an awesome invention, really.
4. To RAIN. Rain is awesome. But no one appreciates it. People only complain about the rain when there's a lack of sun. But at the moment it's been TOO warm. Annoyingly warm. And the rain just comes along and cools things down and gives plants water and stuff at the same time.
I LIKE rain. Rain is better than sun. Sun makes people hot. It dries up water. It gives people sunburns.
Rain on the other hand only has benefits - humans just complain about it because people get their hair wet. Hair isn't that important.
Speaking of pizzas, I'm going to have one. Brb.
Hear hear
@Dragona: No, I don't like rain because it's cold and I have a low tolerance for the cold. :P
And - okay. :) Hope you enjoy it!
The Scooby Doo movie is on!
Hey Elleni..
maybe when dragona gets back...that sounds like a good time. Yeah. When he gets back.
How are you?
@Silente: Yay! :)
Hey Elleni! :)
I do have a plot idea, if anyone's interested.
I haven't read all the comments, so it's possible you've come up with something already, but I do have an idea.
I also have a big test today, so I wouldn't be able to do it until really late (for you UK people).
But yeah, it's there if you want/can't come up with anything better.
Oh. Email Fabio.
@Elleni: THANKS!!!! :) *hugs*
How are you Eeeeeelleeeeeeeniiiiiiiiiiii?
Buzzin! I'm buzzin! :)
LIKE A BUMBLE BEE :O
Yup!
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Happy and excited and chocolate cake = buzzin!
It's tasty.
Okay. :/
I'm not overly fond of cake.
My family makes a really good chocolate cake though. :)
@Silente: Sounds so. :)
Chocolate cake us just....amazing!
Chocolate Ganesh though!
Yaaaaaaaaaaay. :)
