I think that either Fletcher or Tanith will give up their souls for the accelerator.If Tanith does, the remnant will get pulled out first and she'll remember her and Ghastly's kiss, him dying, her with Sanguine and she'll start crying as she dies, regretting not being with Ghastly until the end. I think that Valkyrie will die, I don't know how but then I think Skulduggery will either go insane or turn into Lord Vile and if Darquesse fails in ending the world, he'll succeed because he lost the last person he loved and there will be no one to bring him back, he'll let Vile take over.

Yeah, I don't read much these days, but I enjoyed reading through Gone. There's just something about the setting itself - from book 2, it was all post-apocalyptic, they were out of food, out of resources, and had multiple threats. But what really set it apart from other books is how time and place was handled - there is no place to go, the FAYZ stays, so you better bunker down at Perdido Beach. And yet, there's so much more to be found.
And then there's time - it ALWAYS counts down, and no matter how hard our hero Sam fights for his people, he just can't stop the countdown, can't find the magical "stop" button to end the pain and suffering.
And when the clock hits zero, all hell breaks loose. And it's there, when he's pushed the furthest, where the true Sam is revealed. A soldier. A leader. A hero.

I loved how at the beginning, the characters were all kind of cool and then by the end of the series you just didn't like any of them. XD
And I found the issues it tackled really interesting. Like Little Pete being like God. And the whole thing with the democracy and the dictatorship. The democracy repeatedly failed, and the dictatorship was pretty successful. That's - O_O
I liked how, you know, it had all the different characters. I loved the little anecdotes into their past, like Caine and those kids with the weed and Brianna and all those rats.
I also loved the realism. For examples, at the beginning, when the disaster first hit. The girls walking around in threes crying. Some kids just looking hunched over. Little kids wandering around aimlessly. People gathering in the square because they wanted to be close to people. People going into their homes and eating ships staring at the static on a blank TV screen. Nobody really knowing what to do. Sam could just helplessly tell people to eat cookies. What could they do? They didn't know what to do.
Plus, it was just really well written. :)

Blank sheets of paper aren't plain, though. Have you ever looked closely at them? They're collections of complex, tiny little pieces all smushed together. Some of them are shiny, some of them are slightly discolored, and different types of paper have different thicknesses, and they all have wonderful scents, depending on where they're made and where they've been.
