Ladies and gentlemen...
When I start writing Book 9, I had a title in mind. And it was a good title. It was a glorious title. It echoed a phrase we'd already seen in the books themselves, and it was cool, and haunting, and awesome...
But for some reason, it wasn't a "Final Book" title.
I don't know why. Some titles suit the last book of a series. Some suit the first. This title — my lovely, glorious title — suited the first.
I'm not going to tell you what it was, because I do plan to use it at some stage — and I never let a good idea go to waste.
But suddenly I had a problem. I needed a new title.
I needed a new title that sounded like a final book. I needed a new title that fit alongside Kingdom of the Wicked and Last Stand of Dead Men. I needed something almost... poetic.
And so I came up with this.

I'm not sure writing will go well, but I can always dream, so... ^_^
We study four texts over the year for the exam (as well as two other texts for coursework) and we have to write essay responses to questions on them. I'm studying Tennyson's poetry, Rossetti's poetry, The Kite Runner and The Great Gatsby. We have to write two essays on one of them (we get to choose) and one longer one on the three remaining ones. Usually about a common theme or something. :')

Hey, and yeah doing AS Levels and stuff revising for it now.

That is different, Luciana. In America, the English exams are mostly multiple choice. Each state will give a standard test, for Pennsylvania, the Keystone. The English one will have students read a few passages, and answer multiple choice questions, then for at least one passage, or poem, they write an open ended response.
For Math, the Keystone is only currently placed in Algebra 1, the entire test was on logic, nothing of what students learned in the class. If you did not do well in Algebra, you failed the Keystone.
The only other Keystone at this time is Biology, which I do not know how it is set up. It is assumed a mixture of open ended and multiple choice questions.
The current grades, sophomore and above do not need to pass these tests to graduate. The current freshman class and all those who enter high school will need to.

The reason the Keystones are only in the high school is this, the state is mandating something called common core. This is due to the current law, set by the president previous, is that all students will be proficient by 2016, which of course will not happen. The states can opt out, by implementing common core. Common core is basically, your teacher is not there to teach you, they are there to facilitate. You are teaching yourself. This would work in the high school, but the younger students in elementary schools cannot grasp this. Instead of teaching a student to add one apple to three apples, they have come up with an algebraic way, but remember the student does not know how to add. They are not teaching the basic functions you need as a foundation. The goal is when the elementary students reach high school, to pass a class you must pass a Keystone.

Zafira took Spanish 3 this year. Her goal is to become a translator for Spanish, she has not decided whether to go for law or medical. Welp I ded to people who are learning Spanish (including Zaf) because for some reason people find it hard to do - in my town/city, the amount of people doing AS/A Level Spanish, apart from me, is ONE.

This woman from a nearby school comes over to our school three days a week to get taught Spanish, and our school only agreed to teach Spanish because originally we were meant to have a class of four.

Windows 8 is terrible. It's overly complicated (instead of just going start - shut down, to turn off your laptop, you have to move the mouse to the side, press settings, then power, then shut down), it's based on software meant for a phone (TERRIBLE software meant for a phone - Windows Phones are BAD), it can't run older things... and the idea of having apps is stupid. Who would use the internet app on the "start" menu (the stupid box screen), when they could have it run on the desktop, I have no idea.

My laptop is a Packard Bell EasyNote TE69KB series. AMD Quad-Core Processor, 15.6" HD LED LCD screen, AMD Radeon HD 8330, 8GB DDR3 L Memory, 1TB HDD... it's a pretty good laptop. Can run Skyrim on the highest settings, in any case.

Dragona, we did see that on Sunday. I was against the entire thing, but it was a vote and I was out numbered. I will be the one who will be forced to teach the family how to operate it. I'd NEVER buy an iPhone. I don't know anyone who hasn't got a smashed screen who owns one. I think the use of metal and glass is too heavy in comparison to its strength.
Neither would I buy a Windows Phone. Because yeah, they're crap. Putting simply.
I think Android has the best phones and the best operating system. Windows Phones are HEAVY for their size, like iPhones are. I have a Sony Xperia T (and, despite its autocorrect hating this Blogger textbox where you type your comments) it's a brilliant phone. And quite simply, the CAMERAS on Android are so much better. iPhone and Windows Phone cameras have SUCH false colours. If I take a picture in the rain, I want it to seem rainy - not generating random bright colours from nowhere.

Emerald, I don't have Minecraft. I dislike it. As far as I'm aware it's a game using a concept which I would expect from the 1980s, and graphics to match. If I wanted to create a house, I'd just go on Far Cry 2's map editor and place one down. I wouldn't spend time putting blocks piece by piece down. It's not because I wouldn't have the time to do it - but getting to the point where you have something worthy of note is extremely repetitive. And I have better things to do than place blocks down. :P Like killing people :D

I have not either, I have dropped it once and it has yet to smash. I bought the Otter Box for it, someone else I know managed to smash the screen twice, once without a case, the second time they had a Life Proof case on the phone, yet the screen cracked. The iPod I have, I will have had for almost a year and a half, and I have dropped it numerous times, it still is not cracked.

I might be a little strange, because I don't have Facebook. I dislike Facebook. I think it causes more problems than it solves. I DO have Twitter, but I never use it. I don't update my status or tweet people, I just use it to keep up to date on Mass Effect stuff. So I have a load of Mass Effect writers, designers, managers, the N7 Day (November 7th) twitter, the Mass Effect twitter itself, the Bioware twitter, etc. That's all I use it for.
I haven't smashed my phone either and I literally break mountains just by glancing their way I'm that clumsy :P
