As you all know, today is the day the title of Book 9 is announced.
Except it isn't.
Nope, now that day will be Monday, because there's something else that I want to talk about instead, something a little more important than a book title.
I've been working hard these past few months. I write the occasional blog entry, I've barely been on twitter, I've barely glanced at the Forums or the Facebook page. I'm writing, and I know you understand that, and I appreciate your patience. It's not going to be for very much longer, either. I'm planning on finishing the book next week. I have a lot to do, but I reckon I can do it.
But something has happened in my absence. Something troubling. Not on the twitter page — everyone there is funny and enthusiastic. Not on the Facebook page — everyone there is supportive and astonishingly excitable. Not on the Forums, either — they argue, debate, discuss, and at no time do they ever let these arguments spill over into anything else.
Nope, the trouble is here, in the Comments section of this blog.
Most of the Minions who comment here are my kind of people. They're weird. And I mean, unashamedly odd. I've always been so, so proud of you guys, because I look around at other fandoms and I see everyone sniping at each other and divisions forming and I'm comforted by the fact that none of that happens here.
But I've been away. I've taken my eye off the game. And now I'm seeing behaviour that could be classed as bullying.
You all know my stance on bullying. I will not abide it. The blog, twitter, Facebook, Forums... ANYTHING associated with me must have zero tolerance for bullying. I just won't have it.
The Minions who comment here, I want you to think about the comments you leave. If you never say anything negative about anyone, step over here beside me. I like you. You can be my friend. But if you think about the things you say and you're frowning to yourself? Then I'm probably talking to you.
Harsh words are one thing. We all argue. We all have harsh words. But if all you have, for one particular person, are harsh words? If you CONSISTENTLY say negative things about one PARTICULAR person? Then that's bullying. And that has to stop.
I'm not naming any names. I don't want the bullies to be, in turned, bullied by people who are annoyed they won't get the title until Monday. I don't want recriminations. But what I do want is for you to realise that we're all here because, to some degree, we're all the same. We each have enough in common, as people, as individuals, to love the same things. Do you realise how wonderful that is? To KNOW you have something in common with all these other people?
I have never called Minions "my fans". I will call them fans of the books, fans of the characters, but they're never MY fans. They're never fans of ME. Because we're all the same. I'm not better than you, just because I'm the writer and you're the reader. I have enough in common with each of you to know that, if we met, we'd get along. We'd find SOME common ground.
You're on a train. You see someone in another seat reading a book you LOVE. And you instantly smile, because you have connected with that person. So look around. See all the people who comment and the people who tweet and blog and post... there are your people. These are your friends. Let the harsh words fade away. Wipe the slate clean. Start fresh.
Where I train, in the most brutal form of fighting there is, we have a rule, and it's quite simple. We're training to fight and hurt and break and smash. On the street, we're animals. We're horrible. We're violent. We're nasty. But in the club, when we train, the rule is: Be nice or go home.
So be nice. Being nice is so much NICER than not being nice. Try it and see, and then you can come over here and stand beside me, and you can be my friend too.
But don't make me angry. You wouldn't like what I do to your favourite characters when I'm angry.

«Oldest ‹Older 3001 – 3200 of 4955 Newer› Newest»@Taia: THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :)
It's a close up of the corner . . . and the whole thing took my FIVE WEEKS so yeah. :P
http://www.inkystarrywordart.blogspot.com for the full picture, second post down.
In case anyone cares.
*shifts feet*
*mutters something along the lines of 'FIVE WEEKS'*
#ChaseForBookNine
I love my name, I think it looks pretty, I might try some word art with it.
Okay so far I've got star inkbri. Its amazing how long this takes. Also HEY CHI!
@Chi: GO AHEAD! :)
Your name is pretty. :)
I prefer mine though, which is um, why it's MY name. XD
Yours is all icy and pale blue, as well, Chi, and mine is kind of red.
. . .
I swear I'm not just getting this off our profile pictures. :P
Yeah - that's why it's inkBRIGHT, because 'bright' is a lovely blue word and I like blue, and on its own 'star ink' is just red with some yellow, so I needed to make my name more blue.
But the point is, my name is quite red. :)
It's a pretty red though.
#ChaseForBookNine
@Silente: :) *hugs* Thank you. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Oh god I might've done it to high up on the paper..
I've finish the word inkbright!
*frowns*
When I can't answer a question in a past paper, rather than, like, looking up the answer in my workbooks, I choose to scrawl "DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" in large lettering across whatever space I can find on the page, followed by a tiny "*hides*".
Totally sensible. *facepalms* :P
@Star: O_O
WOOOOOOOOOAAAAHHH.
FIVE WEEKS. I couldn't keep a piece of art up that long. O.O
It looks incredible. I really like the read around the edge which reads 'She isn't real/I can't make her real'. It's kind of separate and defined yet also a part of the what's behind it. It's like so many LAYERS and wow.
Wow.
Hey Chione! :)
@Silente: *nods* It's an entire other complex alphabet. It's legit that it takes time. :)
#ChaseForBook9
YAY! :)
*hugs Silente* :)
#ChaseForBookNine
"the read around the edge"..?
What's a read?
*the writing
:P
#ChaseForBook9
HELLO!
Did everybody see the thingy I posted some hours ago?
Cause I want you all to see it. Cause I mean what I was writing!
Star inkbright is! Just awesome to do now... and then the outside circles (if they'll fit) and elongating the lines!
I saw it Mir. Hence the comment by me under it :-)
@Silente: Hooray! :)
Hi Mith! :)
How're you?
Nope- I didn't, but- *goes to search*
#ChaseForBook9
@Taia: *laughs* XD
I should do that. :)
I think I was able to keep it up that long because there were so many aspects to it - like, you weren't shading in pencil in the same style over and over again LIKE I'M DOING FOR MY NEXT WORD ART so I didn't get bored like I am now. :P
Oh dear.
Wandered off the point.
And - thanks. :) :)
Yeah. I mean, maybe I overdid it with the layers, but the white background just wasn't GOOD enough. XD
I could probably ramble on about my word art for a bit, but I don't think that would be productive. :)
VERMILION THOUGH
I WROTE A SHORT STORY BASED ON THAT SONG
AND IT WAS SO CREEPY
OHMYGOSH
I DISTURBED MYSELF
O_O
#ChaseForBookNine
@Mith: Nope, but I'll look now. :)
@Taia: My brain has a built-in autocorrect (although it's nothing like as wacky as Dragona's XD), so I didn't even notice that error, haha. :P
@Silente: YAY! :)
#ChaseForBookNine
For everyone who didn't see it:
People, I have something to say. Something important. Well, it is important to me to say it.
I want to thank you all for being you. I've known this blog for a year now. I know, my first comment was someday in July last year but I have read Derek's entrys, and sometimes your comments, before finally having enough courage to post a comment. (First, I didn't want to hurt an angel!! And second, I just didn't know what to say)
I must admit that I don't remember my first comment (and I'm far too lazy to search it now...). But I do remember that I was welcome. I think it was Adra who first gave me a hug. I was really surprised because you didn't even know me but then I was like: 'Wow! Those people are really really nice!'
And then I got a medal for awesomeness from Star (or was it Hunter at that time? Actually, I don't remember cause I was kinda confused with the characters, I didn't understand that at first^^). But anyway, I got this medal for awesomeness which is... well, pretty awesome!
And that's only two examples of how kind you guys have been to me!
So, I'd like to say thank you.
Thank you Adra, Trip, Star (plus Hunter and Ez^^), Chione, Ember, Silente, Zaffy, Snow, Fabi, Dragona, Ieni, Taia, Lucy, Rhydian, Anni and everyone I forgot to mention now.
I love you all! <3
*hugs Silente*
Yeah, your comment was the only one I saw, then I had to leave... I wanted to answer but - as I said - I had to leave... sorry!
That's fine Mir! I understand that if you've got stuff to do you have to leave :-)
I think I'm becoming more tolerable about hugs...
[hugs Mith]
*tacklehugs Fabi*
HEY FABIII! :)
@Silente: Don't you like hugs?? :0
OH!
I did see that. :)
(Sorry such a bad memory.)
*hugs Mith* :) I'm pretty sure I said that you were perfect, and thanks. That's still relevant. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Okay that's the words themselves done. Now I need to elongate the lines and draw the surrounding circles..
@Silente: :)!
#ChaseForBookNine
*smiles at Star*
Aw, thank you! :)
Oh god so THATS what makes it so confuzzling. The lines..
*hugs Mithria* You're perfect, okay? Thank you for that. :)
And- on that note- I'm dedicating this page to the welcomeness that is here, how a human can appear and not know who anybody is or what they're doing or why they're throwing sparkles or blowing up various countries or just sitting there talking/ranting/existing. And that human is just made welcome. Just IS.
Idk. When I look back and see a person appearing on the Blog, or a Bloglander meeting another BLoglander for the first time, and the introduction is always welcoming and kind, and it's so important. That kindness. Both in pulling people in and also in keeping 'em here.
So, yeah. I dedicate to the kindness of all of you humans.
And also to Mithria for conveniently showing me something ded-worthy. :P
And also to all of you in general because yes. :)
@Star: *nods* Well, I guess that time and the extra work on the layers paid off with how awesome it looks. *nods again* :) ^^
#ChaseForBook9
(Humans, vampires, robots, bubbles and other such creatures that reside here!)
*smiles and hugs Taia*
THAT'S exactly what I meant, yes! :)
*lets go and frowns*
Hum... pretty much hugging today... too much?
Wait- yes. When I wrote "human" in that ded, the meaning is "human/vampire/bubble/robot/other".
I just have a habit of calling people humans. Sorry. :P
Thanks, Silente. :) ^^
#ChaseForBook9
*hugs Mith back* :):):)
It's NEVER too much hugging. :P
#ChaseForBook9
@Taia: Hunter would call you racist, if you were not a sparkly person and therefore awesome. :P
Awesome ded! :)
And - yeah. :)
Blogland
ROCKS
And - thanks. :) :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Heh. That's good!
Um... I might soon disappear... or not... but I think I will... -.-
@Star: xD Thanks, Hunter. :P
And- Thankye. :)
And- TRUTH. :)
And- :)
@Mith: Aw, okay.
#ChaseForBook9
Ta data guys sorry but its tea time bbs
Bye StaR! Enjoy your dinner. :)
#ChaseForBook9
THAT'S AWESOME, SILENTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *screams*
@Taia: No, that was Silente, not me. :P
I get confused with the name as well. O_O It's a peculiar feeling.
#ChaseForBoookNine
Yeah, I gotta go now... still using Mum's laptop cause my poor computer is STILL broken :(
And now she wants her laptop. So...
BYE everyone!
*hugs everyone because Taia said there can't be too much hugs*
*waves*
*disappears*
*peculiar, because obviously, it feels like me, but how can someone else feel like me? Obviously they're not me, because I am me, and if they were me, I would FEEL that, because they'd be me, yeah? So why do I keep thinking it's me?
#ChaseForBookNine
@Mith: Okay. :( Fours!
#ChaseForBookNine
Oh- wait.
YEah, I just realised, Star- Sorry. xP
I kept looking back at it trying to place what was not quite right, but I just saw "Star Inkbright" and ignored my confusion that it felt peculiar. :P
@Tempest: I hope YOU enjoy YOUR dinner! :P
The Galifreyan looks amazing! :):):)
#ChaseForBook9
*hugs Mith* Aw, :( Bye! *waves*
#ChaseForBook9
What evidence did the scientist look for in the blood of the eight surviving eight squirrels to prove that they had been infected by the virus?
"The virus.
WAAIIT. No.
ANTIBODIES. MEMORY CELLS.
UGH.
Never mind. :( "
Me + Biology past papers is just getting worse and worse. :P
#ChaseForBook9
@Taia: *laughs* XD
Sorry, it shouldn't be funny. :(
#ChaseForBookNine
I HATE EVERYTHING! HOW DO I ALWAYS MISS MY SISTER?! ALMOST EVERY SINGLE TIME SHE'S ON!
Sorry for confusing you all! I hope you liked it Star!
@Star: :P
No worries. I think my brain is trying to make it funny to disguise its not knowing the answers. :P
One of the questions asked for the name of a particular protein. Without hesitation, my brain made my hand write "Terry".
*shrugs helplessly* :P
I'll do one more page and then target the things I need to learn. And hopefully learn them.
*laughs*
#ChaseForBook9
Hey again Chi. From now on I'll try to email you or something when she's on at the same time as me.
On a POSITIVE note relating to my academic progress, I think I pretty much finished off all that I can do my outstanding art coursework, this morning(afternoon). So that's something, at least. :P
@Silente: No worries - It's just my brain. :P
#ChaseForBook9
Also @Silente: Welcome back. :)
#ChaseForBook9
There a three days of the holiday left after today and yet I still have a whole history project to do. How have I managed to avoid it this much?! Damn you Blogland!
*shakes fist angrily*
*stops*
I'm sorry Blogland.
*hugs Blogland*
*hugs Silente*
@Silente: :) :) :)
@Taia: Yay! :)
Hunter: *appears suddenly from thin air* *kind of* *well, not really air* *and not really thin* *but that's beside the point*
HELLO.
Is anyone around?
#ChaseForBookNine
*hugs chione*
How's life going for you chione?
@Silente: Awh. :)
OH GOSH I NEED TO DO MORE SCHOOLWORK. *facepalms*
#ChaseForBookNine
*Hops out of Silente's shadow*
BOO!
@Silente: *Blogland hugs her back* :P
Such is the trouble with having such an awesome place to be at. :/
I hope you get it done alright. *offers a cookie*
ALso, three days? Damnnnnnn.
OK. Gotta work.
Wbd. :P
#ChaseForBook9
Hey Hunter! How are you? Have your eyes turned into snakes yet?
*humors Blake and jumps*
Hey Blake! How are you?
*takes cookie from Taia*
Thank you Taia?
*waves* HEY HUNTER! :) How do you fare?
#ChaseForBook9
Hunter: *looks at Silente, clearly displaying eyes* I don't know, have they?
I can't see my eyes, seeing as how they're the ones doing the seeing.
*frowns* Bit of a poor system, really. I should employee some understudies.
#ChaseForBookNine
Hi BLake! How're you doing? :)
You're welcome, Silente?
:P
#ChaseForBook9
BLAKE? WHERE?
*looks up*
oh
hey Blake
HOW DID I NOT NOTICE YOU?
Hunter: @Taia: Hey, sparkly person! :) *smiles*
I fare annoyedly and worriedly.
But happily, because sparkles exist.
Does anyone mind doing a survey for me?
#ChaseForBookNine
Well...they don't LOOK like snakes.. although they could just be in disguise...
Never been better. You weren't really scared, were you?
Hello everyone else.
Blakeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *tacklehugs* Hi baby ^.^
*steps back so shes not knocked over by Chi*
Not at all Blake.
*hugs Chio tightly as he falls back from the tackle*
Hey there xD
Hunter: *looks worriedly at Silente*
Oh, dear.
I hadn't thought of that.
*reminds self to add into the company policy that all employees must notify the conscious thought if they are to don any disguise*
#ChaseForBookNine
You might not have Hunter, but your eyes might have.
@Silente: EXACTLY.
Do you want to do a survey?
#ChaseForBookNine
What type of survey? You should always ask before you say yes because it could be a survey to see if vampires die when thrown into salt water and that wouldn't be a good survey for me to take.
((Star: *sings* DO YOU WANNA DO A SURVEYYYYYYYYYYYY?
COME ON LET'S GO AND . . . SURVEY
WE NEVER SURVEY ANYMORE
COME OUT THE DOOR
IT'S ALMOST LIKE YOU'RE GOING SURVEY-LESS!
WE USED TO BE CHEIF SURVEYORS
AND NOW
WE'RE NOT
I WISH YOU WOULD TELL ME WHY, PREFERABLY IN A SURVEY THAT ASKED
DO YOU WANNA DO A SURVEY?
YOU DON'T HAVE THE SURVEY THE SUVREY . . .
OKAY BYE))
#ChaseForBookNine
#worstFrozenparodyever XD
Hunter: *hesitates* A . . . survey survey.
It's really easy. Nothing to do with vampires or salt water, I promise. You just read a few lines, circle a few words, and possibly write a sentence or two.
#ChaseForBookNine
((Oh god when I read that I had an image of one of those people who go door to door and annoy everyone on the street standing outside in the rain and singing it to this one door that has never before opened..))
Okay they Hunter...
**then
((Hunter: I should become one of those people. O_O
EZZZZZZ!
I NEED TO BECOME AN ANNOYING SURVEY PERSON!
*wanders off to give it a try*))
((*pops head back in again* STAR YOU NEED TO WRITE THE RESULTS
*disappears again*
Star: *looks helpless*))
#ChaseForBookNine
I really should try that word Art...
Try the word art Chi...let its magic take controlllllllll
(Says the Peron who can't do word art)
@Star: You're "Blake? Where?" scared me. I thought I'd confused myself with people AGAIN. :P
@Hunter: Shame about the annoyance and such. But happy is good. So are sparkles. :):)
And- sure. That Frozen parody though, XD
sorry, distant
#ChaseForBook9
I think I should make it sharp, straight lines, and make it blue that gets darker towards the outline because of ice, or make in the shape of a snowflake...
TRY WORD ART!!!!!!!!!! :) :)
EVERYONE CAN DO WORD ART, SILENTE. :)
((Hunter: Star made a very nice copy of this survey, but Blogger ruined it a bit . . . never mind.))
Hunter: *passes Silente a survey*
Survey: Survey –
(Please circle yes or no)
Question number 1 – If there was a chance you could die if you went near something and you had no need to go near it, would you go near it?
Yes/No
(If yes, continue to question 2. If no, skip to question 4.)
Question number 2 – If someone told you that you could die if you went near an object, and you could tell they were genuinely scared of said object, would you stay away just in case they were telling the truth (because hey, it’s your life on the line here)?
Yes/No
Question number 3 – If no, why not?
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Question number 4 – If you thought someone was insane, and they basically talked a load of rubbish all the time, and they were very scared of an object because they thought people would die if they went near it, would you stay away from that object to stop causing them enormous amounts of stress?
Yes/No
(If no, then you’re just mean and deserve to die anyway so I suppose that’s okay.)
IF YOU ANSWERED YES TO QUESTIONS TWO AND/OR FOUR, THANK YOU, AND PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM YELLOW SHOWER CURTAINS IN FUTURE. IF YOU DO NOT STAY AWAY, YOU’VE EITHER LIED OR CONTRADICTED YOURSELF HORRIBLY, IN WHICH CASE YOU’RE EITHER A LIAR OR PATHETIC, WHICH MEANS I DON’T MUCH CARE IF YOU DIE ANYWAY SO THAT’S ALLEFT.

(Look.
The sign is YELLOW.
Because yellow=death.)
#ChaseForBookNine
The 'sure' was @Star, on the survey, In case I did not make that clear. :P ^^
@Chi: Go for it. :)
@Tempest: *laughs* :P
#ChaseForBook9
*nods at Chi*
I can try and do one, if you want . . . ?
(Although how you'd do a pretty 'C' in sharp straight lines is beyond me)
Hunter: *nods at Taia* Oh, definitely. How are you?
#ChaseForBookNine
Hunter: *passes sparkly person a survey*
*which says the same as Silente's survey*
*obviously*
#ChaseForBookNine
((Maybe the 'C' would be curvy, though, and it would be like a snowflake . . . well, a half-moon of a snowflake.
Sorry. :P Should probably shut up.))
#ChaseForBookNine
*circles yes on Q1*
*circles no on Q2*
*writes |because I have little care for my own well being and if they're scared of it there a chance of it being dangerous which makes it more likely to be entertaining, like when you poke/annoy Blake or Chi|*
*writes yes on Q4*
Hello dragona!
Hunter: *looks at Silente's survey*
*looks pleased*
You see? You're awesome.
#ChaseForBookNine
@Hunter: I'm good, thanks. Just working, y'know. :)
*takes the survey* Thanks, Hunter.
*reads the survey*
*pauses*
Mmmmaybe this isn't such a good idea. I can't answer surveys. I just sit staring at the questions internally screaming "IT DEPENDS ON THE CONTEXTTTTTT! D:" :P
*tilts head*
I'm not sure I can answer just yes/no. xP
Hey Dragona! :)
How're you?
#ChaseForBook9
I'm awesome? Well okay then.
*nods*
As are you and the sparkly person
*winks at Taia*
*grins at Tempest* HOORAH! :)
#CHaseForBook9
I'm fine Taia, you?
When I say "it depends on the context", I mean, "I will sit here holding your survey in my hand until I have thought up a situation in which I WOULD pointlessly go near the dangerous thing." :P ^^
@Dragona: I'm good, thanks. :) Failing at biology, but good, anyway. :P
#ChaseForBook9
I'm getting attacked by my dog but still fine. ^^
((Star: OH MY GOSH YES I struggle so much on stuff like that because CONTEXT!
My mum said that for her first job interview to be a teacher, she was asked how she would teach writing, and she just kind of froze and when "er . . . ." because she didn't know what kind of writing they meant and URGH.
I need to be told EXACTLY what I'm doing otherwise I will just ask about five questions before I can do a simple command like put something in the bin or whatever. -_-
I'm sure I've mentioned how when me and C were writing a rough method of an experiment we were going to do, it took up ages because we had to work out details of whether we would write 'put the magnesium in' before 'start the stopwatch', and whether we would be holding the test tube or not and why/why not and if we were which one of us would and so on and so forth, and then we couldn't write anything because we were laughing at ourselves so much. XD
You see, this is why Hunter thinks I'm pathetic. :)
He thinks C is less pathetic than me, though. :) I think he regrets not invading her head instead, because she's much better at writing, as well. XD
Needless to say, if I had been writing a survey, I would have massively overcomplicated it with tons of little details. XD))
Hunter: That's okay, sparkly person. I'm standing left here, so I can listen to any alternate answers.
#ChaseForBookNine
((Star: HEY DRAGONA! :)
@Taia: YES.
It's like, I'm always like "well, it depends, because say if the school blew up . . ."
For this particular one - "if I developed masochism or something else unlikely like that" would do, I believe.
Or "if it was really foggy and I couldn't see where anything was or where I was going".
You can already tell I've thought of a few possibilities - I mean, often you could conditionally, like if it was to save a friend or the world or something, or if something even better would happen if you went near it. Even suicide kind of comes under that - "I went near it because I want to die."
That's still a reason for doing it, but I left the 'no' just in case anyone wanted to specify suicidal urges/masochism.
Yeah. :P))
#ChaseForBookNine
*the 'reason for the no'
#ChaseForBookNine
@Dragona: o0 Uh. Not too badly, I hope? *waves 'hi' to Dragona's dog* :P
@Star: *nods* Yeah. And I think you said something earlier or at some point I saw scrolling down and I think Snow asked what you like, and, idk, but you said something about you have to have the water clear before you step into it so that you know how deep it is and whether there's any rocks or anything on the ground so that you don't trip and fall or anything, and YES.
My friends get annoyed with me when they give me a reasonable question/task, because I just question it to make sure that I understand, rather than actually doing the thing. :P
We had to do surveys in Welsh Bacc from time to time, and it got to the point where they just made my answers up for me. "Ehhhhhhhhhit depends whether-" "SHUT UP I'LL JUST PUT YES." :P
@Hunter: Okay, fine. :)
#CHaseForBook9
Hellooooooo :)
How's everyone?
Flora! Hi! :) How are you?
I'm good, thanks. :)
Except at biology. I'm not good at biology. :P
... As it turns out, the some-guy's-pod is actually called Bowman's Capsule.
To be fair, I think I was quite close. :P
*sets to answering Hunter's survey*
#ChaseForBook9
I'm finishing my first name on the word art lol
Asahina. Its a nice name. *nods*
((Star: Hey Flora! :) Good, thanks. :)
You?))
Hunter: Okay, thanks, Flora.
You?
*nods at sparkly person*
((Star: Yeah. D: My mum gets annoyed with me. :P I think she things I'm being helpless on purpose.
Haha, my friends made me do a questionnaire thing once, though, and they were just yelling at me because I couldn't give a straight answer for hardly any of them. XD))
#ChaseForBookNine
@Chi: Yay! :)
Already? O_O
THAT WAS QUICK. :O
#ChaseForBookNine
I'm good thanks, you guys :) glad to hear you're the same :)
Dayymmnnn, looks like I missed Rhydian again -.- boooooo
@Chi: Awesome. P:P)
(O_O how did THAT happen?)
*:)
@Star: *nods* I empathise. :P
@Hunter: I am trying to keep the survey answers concise. It is not working. I have more than 200 words for the first Yes/No question. xP
@FlorA: Good to hear.
And- Aw. next time, I guess. :( ^^
#ChaseForBook9
Hunter: *looks apologetic, which is purple* I'm sorry.
Have we actually met, Flora? I can't remember.
#ChaseForBookNine
@Hunter: I'm...I'm not entirely sure. I mean, I know of you. You're quite infamous. But I'm not entirely sure if we've actually met.
Regardless, it's nice to met you, Hunter.
Hunter: @Flora: I am? *looks pleased* Oh, good.
Nice to meet you too. What is your opinion on erasers?
#ChaseForBookNine
Well, I draw a lot and somehow I always end up using a 2H pencil instead of a 4B and so, seeing as the latter can't be smudged away, I would say erasers are very useful (especially for idiots like me).
Why?
The former** not the latter.
OK.
1.
Well, there is a chance that I could die going near, conceivably, anything.
I have an old little portable DVD player that I use maybe once every year or two, usually if I’m ill and have nothing to read and don’t want the effort of finding my laptop and turning it on and waiting and waiting and waiting for it to function. And it’s so old, it rattles and wobbles SO much, I kind of begin to fear that it will blow up in my face and blast my brains out. But I still use it. I still go near it.
When I walk past an open window, I could somehow trip in such a way that I fall out and land on the concrete and be dead. But I still go near open windows.
BUT if there was, like, a hanging electrical wire from a telegraph pole, for instance, I would not go near it. I’d probably cross the road and walk on the other side until I was past it.
So, it probably depends on the size of the chance that I would die if I went near it, and also maybe the manner of the death. :P
Since that was neither Yes nor No, I’ll just answer 2 and 3. :P
2. Um. Again, with the context.
I might not keep away, say, if it was the book that I was halfway through reading, or, like, my bed. Unless maybe if they had a decent reason for me not approaching it. Eg. If my brother told me, terrified, that there was a psychopathic murderer with an axe under my bed, and he was clearly not lying, I probably WOULD stay away from the bed. And the house. And the village.
3. See above.
4. I feel like I maybe probably.
But again, if it’s my bed, unless the axe-murderer (I don’t like that term. Murderer with an axe or murderer of axes, y’know? :P) scenario is in place, I think for the most part I’d still go to my bed. :P
But if it was, like, Casio calculators, or Snickers chocolate bars, I’d probably avoid them, sure.
Which makes me feel kind of egocentric.
But, idk. It depends on the type of threat to my life, and the likelihood of them cropping up, and the level of distress caused.
So, that.
Sorry for the complications. :P
And- I’ve gotta go.
*hugs Star and Flora, and anybody else still around*
*pauses, not sure if Hunter takes hugs*
*offers a hug, but also throws some sparkles at him, in case of decline*
Bye, all!
#ChaseForBook9
Omg I hate trying to do S's in Word Art form...
Couldn't even fit all of my name in but oh well.
Dinner tiiimmmeee
Byee!
Didn't poof! That never happened!
Just found out my history project isn't due until, like, next month so I'm fine on that!
Hunter: @Flora: *nods, storing the information away*
Oh, no reason.
@Taia: *takes the hug* *nods, thoughtfully*
That was a pretty good answer.
((Star: @Chi: I tend to find it depends on the word art, but yeah, they're bothersome, although not so much as R and Y. :O))
#ChaseForBookNine
@Silente: C says, "Anything that eats you is generally bad news. I love the periodic table, but I’d hate it if it ate me. And I love some of the names of elements too, but some are impossible to pronounce. And I think those were discovered by Einstein... I’m guessing."
#ChaseForBookNine
To friend C: yeah I think so too. Not everything that eats you is bad news! Just because it eat you doesn't mean its not a nice person/thing! I mean cannables would eat humans but that doesn't mean they're bad news! Hell my definition of trust is two cannables giving each other a blowjob! Just because it will or would eat you doesn't mean its bad! It just means you should be careful around it! *nods*
Hey drago!
How are yo?
Omg my hands hurt xD
I'm fine, you?
I'm fine dragona tying to write chi's name in gallifreyan.
Word art-the killer of your hand!
Yep. My second name looks better so far cause the words are smaller.
Cool. Your name looks cool in gallifreyan.
Hello.
((This thing is acting funny, now I'm scared I'll have Ari murder me, which is sad because she could.))
#ChaseForBook9
Hey zafolo
((Still zaf? Jesus your going to end up literally being Nic forever soon! Its been 3 days now!))
Arg! The stupid words aren't in the right positions! I'm gonna have to cut them out...Yey.
People?
*presumes he classes as people*
Bubble?
((I don't want to hear 48 names screaming in my head!!! *cries*))
#ChaseForBook9
Mages?
((There there zaf. Its okay. You'll just have to figure out how to switch back..))
Oh look you lot didn't run off,
How are we all? How have our days been? Someone please say something that will continue the conversation..
My day has been good. I went walking, came home, played Battlefield, and then I came on here.
((I think Ari's gonna kill me. She's gonna have my head. *gulp* I don't want to die.))
#ChaseForBook9
The trains from the North travel toward the South.
My day was fine, Silente.
#ChaseForBook9
Zaf, then isn't the answer like... easy?
((She won't have your head. Your arms and legs and innards maybe. But I doubt she'll take your head.))
Walking..its rather cold out isn't it?
A little cold. But it's not bad. I'm used to cold. It once got down to -18 degrees where I live so...
-18?! That really quite cold for England...
I know it's cold, I was out in it. Wearing a thermal balaclava, snow goggles, four layers of clothing (including a winter coat), jeans, waterproof trousers, and wellies. I must have looked like a mixed up henchman from a James Bond film.
Yeah. Did it snow where you are in winter then?
Hmm. Must've been one of the only places that saw snow in winter then.
((Dragona, my name refuses to show up. I save it and I comment and it says Niccolò, ok I love Nic but good god I would never want to be him forever. I'd loose my sanity, I mean imagine having 48 names screaming in your head, but carry on life even though you want death? Knowing you killed your entire family and so many others? You have no idea what Coco goes through, I doubt anybody truly knows. I know what Ari told me, Coco would never tell you.))
#ChaseForBook9
((Zaf, Aretha is a good person, and she would never kill you for something you can't control.))
((Blogland has clearly decided you need to take a walk in his shoes))
I hope my phone won't call Niccolo Nipples YOLO again.
That was amazing. Me and snow just got Silencer, Silently and snowball then out of no where Nipples YOLO pops up.
((I mean I'm scared I offended her. She hasn't really answered my emails. If I could switch back I'd be happy. I mean it's fun to play around and pretend to be Coco but y'know its nice to be yourself. I hope I didn't offend her. I probably insulted Nic and I love Nic too much to want to hurt him. Oh gods I just admit I totally love Nic. I do hope he isn't reading. ))
#ChaseForBook9
((Why won't it let you change back?))
Great I have MMMBop in my head...
Et voila! Chione Asahina the Snow Goddess in galifreyan! -->
((Are you sure it's saving properly before you close it? Sometimes it takes awhile after you hit save. I've accidentally had that happen a couple times.))
That's awesome, Silente! :-)
Teach me galifreyan.
Please.
((Yeah it will say saved it will actually tell me when I go in to change my name that my name is Grand Mage Zafira Kerias, but my comments come up Niccolò Croatoan))
#ChaseForBook9
Hello peoples!
Thanks Fabi!
Is it me or is Blogland a bit slowwwwwwwww today? Maybe I'm imagining stuff?
Hey Amethysy.
Trip I can't teach you it. You have to /feel/ it,
Hey Stalky! How are you?
I'm fine! What about you?
You do know how right?
No I'm kidding trip. One minute I'll see if I can find the thing I learnt from
There is no legitimate way of translating into Galifreyan. No one has made it a real language. However some fans of Doctor Who are trying to make one but it's not legitimate.
The Gallifreyan code is still fun, though. :-P
I dedicate to dedicating pages on this blog.
Over the years there have been so many brilliant deds. Such thoughtful, kind, interesting and profound things have been said in this place. But best of all, the ded is sacred. The ded is neutral. Deds are never really used against people. No one has ever dedded to someone going away or shutting up. It doesn't matter if you're angry at someone, the ded is not for you to use against them.
It's beautiful. And painfully lacking in deds.
Hello, Trip.
#ChaseForBook9
Trip, then I ded to things like squirrels :D
((Well, then, Zaf, that's really weird and I'm not sure why that would happen. Surely you had to change your profile to become Nic in the first place?))
A ded to deds. I like it. [nods]
Hear hear!
Okay so dragona is correct, there is no one correct version but here's the one that seems to be used the most. Click on guide and it'll download the guide onto you computer/tablet/phone
http://www.shermansplanet.com/gallifreyan
Good luck! Once you get the hang of it its quite easy.
((I know. I did change it to become Nic and its just acting odd. I really hope Ari isn't mad! She's scary...like she could probably make me into pulp. She's knows Krav, ok she'd murder me. I love her but I know she'd murder me. Coco is scarier, oh god what if I pissed Alastair off?! Alastair wouldn't hesitate in hurting me.))
#ChaseForBook9
Yahoo!
Oh Alastairs just a big pussy cat! We just need to learn to handle him!
I disagree, he's just a big pussy. He's more into making you Gary than actually attacking you.
(Alastair <3)
(Nu.)
Hey Adra!
Hello Adra.
Hello, Adra.
Trip, I find him more into causing pain to people, he'll do that because he can. Why do you think he never shifts into his own body? Other names do, he does not.
#ChaseForBook9
Maybe he's just really ugly and self conscious. Maybe that's why he doesn't show his real form.
Not physical pain. When was the last time he attacked one of us, eh? And I mean properly.
(*Flicks Trip's nose* Yu
Hey yo all who said hello)
(How are yo Adra? And how's the kiddie wink?)
Sh! You best hope he isn't reading!
(Wy?)
Reverse phycology..
I did not mean physical pain, Trip. He will hurt you mentally as well.
Silente, no he believes when he is out that my face is his.
#ChaseForBook9
(BECAUSE ALADRA
I'VE EMAILED YOU A SHIT TON OF TIMES ABOUT IT OKAY
YOU KNOW THAT I LOVE IT YOU DINGUS
<3
Yu)
(Tadra forever tho!
(Ayyyyyyy gooooooooooood Silente!)
Trip he tried to burn us all with fire, make us fall down really deep gaps in the earth, poisoned me by stabbing me with bone needles covered in blood and electrocuted then paralised zaf on march 30 which is less than a month ago. Does that count as properly?
