gibber.
Work is progressing. December and most of January was taken up with short stories. I still have to edit them. I'll have to do that soon, over the next few days... But I'm also back on the book. Writing away. Skipping chunks and writing important bits. I'm on the final confrontation now, making sure everything fits together. Even though there is a lot more writing to do, loads of gaps to fill in and storylines to link up, I am TECHNICALLY writing the end of the book at the moment. Will I finally get to find out how it ends? Or will I leave that blank also, to be finished off when everything else is complete?
I don't know. I really don't.
I have, maybe, another month of writing ahead of me before the first draft is done. Every morning I wake up, lie in bed for an hour (yes, it is good to be a writer) and think about the sequence I need to write that day. Then I'm up and writing. There is very little time to think about other things, such as writing blogs or tweeting, and I know you understand that, but I do want to thank you all for your patience. I don't like being silent for this long — but soon, I won't have to be.
Soon.

LOL, Hoorah! :P
#ChaseForBook9
Yes, I get amused at things like that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLlAObjR-gs
*tilts head*
Is that actual game footage? Like, a six minute cutscreen?
#ChaseForBook9
Yep, actual game footage. Six minute cutscene. :)
Cutscene! That's what I meant to say. I KNEW cutscreen did not sound right! :P
But, cool. *nods*
Are there a lot of those?
I tend to get impatient and end up mashing buttons like "WHY CAN'T I SKIP YOOOUUUUUUUU..?" :P
It looked pretty good, though. ^^

LOL, *grins*
Now I'm sure I've seen THAT before. :P Cats. x3
#ChaseForBook9
Taia, Taia, Taia. Although Mass Effect is VERY fun to play, it's strength lies in the cutscenes and the story. No cutscenes, and you won't understand anything. Mash buttons, and you'll probably wipe out someone's race.
It's not like it's JUST all "cutscenes everywhere". You CHOOSE things during the cutscenes. You choose what to say etc, and most of the story is conducted through them.
*nods* Yeah, I guess it depends on the game, because that, kind of, different levels of significance, y'know? Sometimes it'll just be like "Hey. You did a thing! *sparkles*" and I'm like, "That's what I just spent the past half hour trying to do. I KNOW." If there's a point to it, I guess that's different.
I still use the PS2 more than the PS3, also, so the quality itself is kind of terrifying, sometimes. :P
It makes sense to make the cutscenes interactive, though. *nods* And if they're important, yeah, I get that. ^^
#ChaseForBook9
Wait, damn it. He doesn't have it on the right option. A lot of the time during the cutscenes, a little wheel will pop up. You'll be able to choose a paragon option, which is nice, a neutral option, and a renegade "bad" option. Lots of missions require you to make decisions this way. For example on Mass Effect 1 on Virmire, you're trying to destroy a facility with a nuke and your team splits into two. Well, one member of your squad goes with one team, then the other person stays with you. You choose who goes. Part way through, both you and they get assaulted by enemies and you have to choose whether to go to the help of the guy with the squad, or stay and help the person who stayed with you. Whoever you don't help well... dies.
Then in ME3 you have to choose who to save between a race of robots called the Geth, and the Quarians.
I think your comment poofed, because I can't... see it. But I'm just over a minute in and I see what you mean. *nods* Introductory information. I guess you need that. *nods*
OH, right. That's a pretty good in order to give you a level of responsibility or control, to some extent, over what's going on, I guess. Like, you can choose who lives and who dies, but you can't choose nobody lives, or nobody dies? It's a freedom within what would be otherwise be only a limitation, though, if that makes sense?
You chose Quarians, I'll bet? :P
#ChaseForBook9
I did choose Quarians. This time I'm playing Mass Effect 2 right so I'm on my path to get peace between the two races. The last time I played it I made a few mistakes.
However, the things you do during the cutscenes will change the endings of the games. Which is pretty cool.
YEah, I like that.
You have different consequences depending on your choice of actions.
*nods*
#ChaseForBook9
Darn. I've gotta go.
It was good talking with you, Dragona. ^^
Bye!
#ChaseForBook9
I like doing the cutscenes. Some of them are really funny. Like when I found a Krogan who had been like experimented on in the middle of a genetic facility. He started complaining, so I chose the paragon option which was something like, "It'd take a real badass to get back to your clan's base whilst wounded."
The Krogan said something like, "I can do it"
Then I chose the bad option which said, "I said a badass, not some sort of baby who complains like a Quarian with a stomach ache"
Quarian crew member: "Hey! I'm stood right here!"
Bye Taia!
Hey Adra! How are you?
Hey Dragona!
I'm alright- you?
I'm good, though Blogger hates me.
It hates everyone :P
I'm surprised we're still on this post. It's been a number of days since it was posted, and we aren't even to 2,000...
I mean, wow.
Sorry- wbsd
Is anyone here?
For anyone who is interested, there are some more frozen bubble pictures from the photographer who did the ones I shared awhile back.
Again, I think it's the mobile version of the link, but...yeah.

Good morning, afternoon, evening, or other time of day, Blogland.
-Sorry-
Hello, those who are here?
Still slightly distant, though. But hello, how are you all?
Greetings.
Hello, Sir. How do you fare on this fine Friday?
Standard, Ms. Dark.
Ah- anything exciting for the weekend?
[sends hugs, but can't really be here]
[is so annoyingly inefficient writing with pen and paper]
[needs to fix this]
Not for me, Ms. Dark.
It is perfectly fine, Ms. Cryptic.
I am the same, Fabi- but usually in the morning. That's why taking tests with essays in the morning is obnoxious, because my hands are weak, having not been woken up, to say.
*hugs*
Not I, as well.
Hm.
My brother has appeared to have cut his hand from falling onto the ice. There's ice everywhere- it's wild. Some of the ice has been falling off the roof at my school, so they had to close off a particular section- I'm guessing it might have accidentally almost hit someone, else no one might have noticed.
Imagine, being impaled by an icicle. That wouldn't be fun..
Indeed, most painful.
*quietly wanders into Blogland*
*mutters* Hullo.
Hello, Annika!
Greetings, Ms. Barnosky. I hope you enjoyed your novel by Mr. Snicket?
HEY WHEN DO YOU KNOW A SOPRANO IS AT YOUR DOOR
SHE CAN'T FIND HER KEY AND SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHEN TO COME IN
;DDDDDD
There is no Lemony Snicket novel I don't enjoy, I must say.
*sits on a park bench*
This one was called The Penultimate Peril, and it was both penultimate and perilous.
*looks at Maralie*
. . .
*ba-dum TISH*
As the name would suggest.
Ay, Mara
Greetings, Ms. Charm.
Well, it is good to hear that the title was accurate, Ms. Barnosky.
. . . Quite.
So I stuck my gerbils in the balls they raced
Hello Blogland?
Quite.
Hello, Ed! How are you?
I am fine thank you Adra
Hullo, Edward. How fare the penguins?
Greetings, Ms. Kerias and Mr. Fletcher.
Hai Anni and Ed and Sir and Adra
The penguins are on holiday in France, Hello Annika
Hello Zaf and Sir
Heyo, all :) *hugs around*
I hope they'll be happy there. With luck, it won't be too hot for them.
Hullo, Mr. Reynolds, how fares the . . . I'm not sure. The private eye business?
Greetings, Mr. Reynolds.
And wb Zaf as well.
Also, I just wanted to share these two quotes with you all:
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."
Both of which are extra-sharp cheddar, but I like them.
I prefer Emerson's "Self Reliance" more, but these will do.
Hello Mr Reynolds
I am sure they shall be fine but I did give them an ice cream machine
Salutations, Mr. Reynolds.
I would like to share a quote also:
"When you are allergic to something, it is best not to put that thing in your mouth, particularly if the thing is cats." - Lemony Snicket
And I agree, Edward. I'm sure I would be happy anywhere if I were given an ice cream machine.
Very good Adra
"We are all just stories in the end, so make it a good one."
That's pretty quirky, Annika; I like it!
Cats are edible?
"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves."
-Julius Caesar
Only if you have an unhinge-able jaw, and are not allergic to cats.
"The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes."
Interesting quotes
"Life is full of whimsical happenings, Watson."
- Sherlock Holmes
The Private Eye business fares well, Annika :P
Heyo to people who said heyo ~waves~
If we're doing quotes then I'm gonna pull out a Vonnegut hang on-
"Still and all, why bother? Here's my answer. Many people need desperately to receive this message: I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone."
-Kurt Vonnegut
Sorry, it's kind of a "singing" joke :P
Wbveryd watching Pitch Perfect
"Hey, Assbutt!"
- Castiel
rereading series until book 9. i kind of want it to come out later so I don't have to suffer with the fact that there are NO MORE SKULGUGGERY PLEASANTS after that one
I believe I would like to write an essay about why I believe John Smith, the English explorer, is a pretentious, arrogant jerk.
Just as well, I fancy writing my own Transcendental, then Anti-Transcendental work, perhaps the latter being in the Gothic style.
I ought to go ahead and mimic the style of all of the American Literature Eras, actually.
Greetings, Ms. Stormberg.
SNOW!
*whispers* I answered your e-mail.
Hello Snow
I'm uncertain whether to be cheering for book nine or dreading it.
I know, Mara- I am a soprano, I have seen others experience so.
That is a beautiful quote, Annika.
The moment he kissed Meg, every human on earth was jealous, methinks.
Some great quotes, haha
Oh, I want to quote my fav Julius Caeser too xD
"Cry, 'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war."
I often think it is one of the most enlightened and spiritually fulfilling quotes ever uttered by mankind.
*nods solemnly and with great reverence*
Antony is a bit of a drama queen, Mr. Reynolds.
Hello, Snow!*
Hai Snow
'There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact.'
'Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth.'
"Lives, lived, will live. Dies, died, will die. If we could perceive time as it truly was, what reason would grammar professors have to get out of bed?"
- Robert and Rosalind Lutece
Such a cool quote though o.o
"I put my tongue around my eyetooth, so I couldn't see what I had said."
I've remembered that quote for years, and can not, for the life of em, remember to whom it belongs.
HELLO PEOPLE THAT SAID HI OR ANYNOTHER FORM OF GREETING.
@Anni I know you replied. Thanks :)
"A world in which there are monsters, and ghosts, and things that want to steal your heart is a world in which there are angels, and dreams, and a world in which there is hope."
- Neil Gaiman
“Do what I do. Hold tight and pretend it’s a plan!”
Time is tedious, it seems.
"There is a time in every man's education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide; that he must make himself better, for worse, as his portion; that through the wide universe is full of good, no kernel of nourishing corn can come to him but through the toil bestowed on that plot of ground which is given to him to till."
"We but half express ourselves, and are ashamed of the divine idea which each of us represents.
"God will not have his work made manifest by cowards. It needs a divine man to exhibit anything divine."
"And we are now men, and must accept in the highest mind the same transcendent destiny"
"Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of our own mind."
"With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall."
"The virtue in most request is conformity. Self- reliance is its aversion."
-"Self Reliance", Ralph Waldo Emerson
Have you ever googled google? It's quite odd
"The past is gone, and cannot harm you anymore. And while the future is fast coming for you, it always flinches first and settles in as the gentle present."
- Cecil
Reading though this essay, I believe Emerson has basically made up very good, strong quotes, and put filler sentences around it.
"I lost the game"- Adra
"Adra, you son-of-a-bitch." - Annika

HOLY GOD
IF YOU DO WATCH IT
JESUS CHRIST PERRIE'S HIGH NOTE COULD SHATTER GLASS SHE HIT IT PERFECTLY
Does anybody here write there own stories?
Adra that first quote in the set on Self Reliance is brilliant.
and-
goddammit Adra.
Oh yeah I hit new high note records i hit a high D
I write nothing but my own stories, Edward. Unless you count online role-playing.
There are many authors in Blogland, Mr. Fletcher.
I don't write fan fiction, I mean.
"Ayyyy lmao"- Tumblr.
And I believe we all do, Edward.
I write fan fiction...I'm not creative at all really
Ok, thanks
"All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That's his."
- Oscar Wilde
She did, Mara- although I don't believe it's that high- it was very pretty.
Hello, Mr. Reynolds. And that first quote is the opening line.
Sorry, I'll just leave now. I'm being annoying.
Have a good day (:
I like that quote, Annika :P
:) --->
"To all the girls out there who are in a hurry to have a boyfriend or get married, a piece of Biblical advice: "Ruth patiently waited for her mate, Boaz." While you are waiting on YOUR Boaz, don't settle for any of his relatives: Broke-az, Po-az, Lyin-az, Cheatin-az, Dumb-az, Drunk-az, Cheap-az, Lockedup-Az, Goodfornuthin-az, Lazy-az, and especially his third cousin Beatinyo-az. Wait on your Boaz and make sure he respects Yoaz."
- ???
gtg, Bye
Right..
*hugs Mars* See ya.
Ay, Snow! :)
And that's... Very nice, Annika
I don't even know what that's from but it found its way into my archives and now I'm looking at it and wondering what to do with it now.
Ah, I see Adra. I should read the whole thing if I can find it. And hello :P
I'll send it to you, if you want. Although it's slightly annotated, so you'll have to read around it.
Bye Mara and Ed
*yawns*
I suppose I'm feeling a little more high-spirited now. I should go.
Right.
Bye!
Goodbye, everyone.
*fades away into the distance*
Snow--
We got a postcard from Tasmania and I instantly thought of you.
Sure Adra, send it on through.
:/ Bye everyone that's leaving *hugs*
A-annik-ka... w-why? *tears brimming in my eyes*
I... I thought... why Annika?
*the wind blows my hair across my face as my tear stained face watches her retreating figure*
*whispers* how could you leave me?
Ayyyyyyyyyy alright, Mr. Reynolds.
*hugs fabi* Cool!
/get on facebook, mr reynolds/
I have to get breakfast. Brb.
Alright, Snow!
-might start writing soon-
Turkey :D
Ankara
Rice and milk for breakfast... I have such weird breakfasts
that is weird...
I've just remembered that I can't actually write about current events here...
Drat.
no
I told my friend C about how I was blogfamous for long comments a while ago.
She just sent me this - "I got your slipknot email and now I understand why you are so famous on your blog."
*facepalm*
Hello, people!
#ChaseForBookNine
Hey star
Oh, wait. Not really here.
Sorry!
(Actually, the blog isn't really working on my phone atm, so . . . D:)
#ChaseForBookNine
Kay.. I g2g, Bye!
Aww. Hi/bye, Star. And cya, Snow.
*explodes
Ay Hb
Sorry, dinner. Back now, though.
Although I don't think anyone is here..?
Perhaps.
Halfway done with the first section of ceiling...!
Wonderful, Ms. Cryptic,
Of course.
And congrats?
That sounds so pathetic considering how much time I've spent on this thing. :-P
Seriously, though, I had to redo it about fifteen million times to find a method that worked, and now it's there. :D
Well then- that's great! Good for you :)
three
There was a story that made me grin
So the story is that a man had a disease 10 doctors couldnt diagnose. He ends up in Germany at a hospital of undiagnoses diseases. So the one doctor was a fan of the tv show House. He remembered an episode exactly like this man's case. She had kobalt poisoning from her replacement hip, and the man had a hip replaced too. Turns out kobalt levels were high and they removed the hip and the man had poisoning and is recovering
:-)
Mara! [hugs] Three?
Well, it's good that they figured it out.
I thought it was neat he remembered that episode of a tv show which I do love and wish it was on
Hello?
or should i say four?
Greetings, Ms. Phoenix.
Sorry, I'm in an out.
Mara, I would love to help, but I haven't the faintest idea of what you're cluing at. If you need, though, email me
Whoa. O_o
(for Zafira's story-whatever)
And greetings, Sir Reingington!
Or should that be farewell? I need o get breakfast. *sighs*
Bye!
Hello and goodbye, Phoenix
[hugs Maralily]
[waves to Fay]
Alright, Adra.
I'll be sort of here sort of not as well...
Anyone gonna watch the opening ceremonies for the Olympics?
I'm planning on it, unless my headache gets bad. It records in about an hour. The Canadian version, anyway. Hopefully. It might be blocked, but the US announcer people are sort of annoying.
The Olympics is tonight?
Yes Adra. And its on 7:30 our time
As in 5min
Oh uh
I dedicate this page to those medical miracles. And the fact that House helped save a real life paitent
And to the Olympics, lets go America! We can get gold!
And to the London ones...I believe that opening ceremony was jepic
I had no idea that the Olympics was tonight.
I'm rooting for Switzerland, quite frankly.
Yeah I found it on the channel that has Jeopardy at 7:30 and yay for having Jeopardy on at 7 but I'm excited to see the ceremonies I find them neat to see
Actually, it already happened... It's 4:30 AM in Russia.
But it's on TV in America tonight.
Oops.
:P
*In Sochi
Because Russia is a big country with lots of time zones.
Ah. Well. That sucks. But then again we didn't see the London ones live. Well maybe we did?
That is true...
I would like to go to Russia, actually. You know, once they cool their game.
When the London Olympics happened we were down the shore and there was a swimming event and Phelps was on and this guy in the deli starts cheering and we're like O.O
Yeah right now I'm slightly scared to go there
-SeaNanners is the bomb dot com over here-
Woah what?
five
*hums*
I am starting to realized just how odd I am. I mean, I so often call you guys perfect, but then later go on to say perfection is overrated. I'm quite sure that I dont know what I'm saying half the time and the other half is just made up jubberish to make people look at me and think I know what I'm on about.
Hai Snow
So apparently the floor is showing the country called in rhe parade of nations so the people appear coming from the heart of their country
I saw Aussies!
Waiting for my own country still :P
c:
US finally came and yay :D
I'm going to sleep. Goodnight!
Night Adra
Helloooooooo?
[echoes]
