Apparently I'll be appearing at the Imagine Festival in London this Monday, the 17th. I had a blast last year, where I showed clips from movies, but I'm not entirely sure what I'll do this time. I might read from one of the new short stories. I'd read from the ninth book, but there is nothing from the early sections finished, and anything read from later on would be a spoiler, so...
Oh, and speaking of Book 9, I have just reached the 75,000 word mark. Judging by this, the finished book will be at least 100,000 words, which is Mortal Coil length, and could be longer. LSODM will stay the longest, I reckon, simply because of the massive amount of characters involved. But because most of those characters are now DEAD, Book 9 allows me a smaller, more intimate story — while remaining as heart-rendingly traumatic as anything I've written before.
And speaking of heart-rendingly traumatic, I've actually written the last few chapters. Not to completion, of course, but I've written enough to know what happens, and how it ends, and who lives and who dies, and all I can say is...
I am MEAN.

*Steps outside, careful to not slip and fall forward*
[Some ripe dynamite falls off a tree and explodes, making the jackalope panic and run]

[The jackalope slows slightly, thinking maybe the loud bad thing is far away now and not chasing it]
*Searches carefully for a small bunny-type thing, following the glfootprints carefully, sending a calm vibe out to cool the animal*
[The footprints are actually those of a goat]
[Maybe that's what jackalope feet are meant to be like, though]
[The jackalope slows again and eyes an appetizing blackberry vine]
I thought a jackalope was a bunny with antlers, though..?

*She smiles, scratching Chewie behind his ear before carefully and gingerly bringing him into her lap, scratching him all over*
Economical: M-mostly paperwork, routine things. And I do them p-precisely as the Grand Mage directs, following protocol with extreme p-p-precision.
[Looks pleased with this]
Chewie: [Wonders if Adra's hair would taste as good as a blackberry vine]
((I should mention that despite the fact that he currently looks like a jackalope, Chewie would still feel like a goat.))
*She notices the vine that the animal was chewing on and pulls a few blueberries from her bag, holding them out for the animal*

Oh don't worry thats all part of Friday. Tuesday 2-4" and then Friday a mix. Yeah. Its horrid. I mean I shoveled the steps to the house and it got to the point i couldn't throw the snow any higher. I pushed it so dad could plow it. Like the drift of snow from our driveway is like...2-3ft high and I'm 5'1 so it was hell in general. I also did the cars so many times...I mean I am learning the snow blower so I can go out and rescue dad as we still have March and March is...March.
