Apparently I'll be appearing at the Imagine Festival in London this Monday, the 17th. I had a blast last year, where I showed clips from movies, but I'm not entirely sure what I'll do this time. I might read from one of the new short stories. I'd read from the ninth book, but there is nothing from the early sections finished, and anything read from later on would be a spoiler, so...
Oh, and speaking of Book 9, I have just reached the 75,000 word mark. Judging by this, the finished book will be at least 100,000 words, which is Mortal Coil length, and could be longer. LSODM will stay the longest, I reckon, simply because of the massive amount of characters involved. But because most of those characters are now DEAD, Book 9 allows me a smaller, more intimate story — while remaining as heart-rendingly traumatic as anything I've written before.
And speaking of heart-rendingly traumatic, I've actually written the last few chapters. Not to completion, of course, but I've written enough to know what happens, and how it ends, and who lives and who dies, and all I can say is...

Its fine...the car that leads the pack in times of caution where the cars speed is reduced, thats the pace car. It caught on fire. The freakin pace car. All they do is go around at like 60mph leading the cars. And it caught on fire.

Just a little. I mean the drivers racing at 200mph are in fire proof suits and there is so much protection gear for them on and off the car. I mean they crash but since Earnhart Sr. died in a crash regulations changed to make the sport safer. It is now I mean these guys are in a freakin bubble so they don't die.

I mean, I know she tries, but seriously, every time I show something to her, be it a sketch or something I wrote, she's always so... Well, she complained about Liz having a gun and thought she was a guy, Effie 2a (one I didn't show) looked like a cartoon character in a children's book because of the bright eyes and too big mouth, and J.A. was all smeared, and she's so...analytical, I guess. She seems, at times, incapable of seeing beauty and finds only the flaws in things, the eyes being too high, mouth too big, whatever, and it always makes me feel so...small.
And don't even mention the writing. I wrote a version of the story of the Lady of Shalott, and she didn't understand it, thought the plot was stupid.
It just...hurts, you know?
I mean, I guess since she's my teacher, too, she feels obligated to give honest feedback, but it's still making me want to cry.
I should be doing homework right now, but I've done half of it already, and I can't be bothered doing the rest of it! And it is due tommorow! But it'll only take about an hour to finish, and it's only 1:30 pm over where i am, but do you think I should go and finish it right now?
