Alrighty then, here's a fun little thing I've been working on, and I need your help. I'm editing together a video (and I'm very new to editing, so I haven't a clue what I'm doing) of many people singing what is basically the 12 Days of Christmas, but with a difference.
If you want to be a part of this, all you have to do is send an email to skulteams@hotmail.com, giving me permission to use your video in making MY video. We, in turn, will get back to you with the lines I need you to sing. You then go off, sing these lines into your phone or camera or whatever — it can be you, it can be you and a friend, you and your family, or a group, or a pet, or a puppet, or your favourite kettle — and send these (SHORT!) videos back to the skulteams address so you can be edited in.
(Oh, and one minor details, for those of you under the age of 18... GET YOUR PARENTS' OR GUARDIANS' PERMISSION!)
If you could keep the lines you sing to yourself— i.e. don't tweet them! — that would be very helpful! The lines will be given out tomorrow, the final deadline is Monday night, with the full video to be released on Christmas day, right here on my blog.
Provided I learn how to edit by then.

I'm back from the crib service (which was awful. The vicar did a really good job, and had a good idea and got pretty much everyone involved whilst having good messages and that, but the AUDIENCE! The church was PACKED (because, for those of you who have everyone in school go to church, we usually have about four families with kids at our church, and you have millions of people who only go to church once a year, on Christmas Eve, and I saw all these people from school (other year groups, mostly) and I was like O_O) - seriously, they were putting spare chairs in the aisles and blocking up the fire exits - and everyone was SO badly behaved. These kids in front of us were talking all the way through it, and messing around, and scribbling on all the sheets, and they would not fucking shut UP for ONE MOMENT, and they kept moving around and paid absolutely no attention to the fact that the vicar was speaking, and most of the others kids were as bad as them, and the parents were just sitting there chatting to their friends all the way through it and ALSO just blatantly ignoring the service, and HONESTLY. -_- My dad was just asking - why did they COME if they're just going to sit and chat and not pay attention? And my mum said she just DIDN'T know.
And yes.
And my mum says that we would NEVER have behaved like that, because we'd know not to, and even if we didn't go to church most Sundays, she would have told us that THIS is what was going to happen, THIS is what was expected of us, and THIS is what would happen if we didn't.
And she said that parents today are afraid to challenge theirs kids, and she didn't know why, and she says that she challenges the teenagers she works with.
And she said that she was at Pizza Hut with all these refugee boys, and one of them was teasing another because he didn't have any trainers and only had school shoes.
And she was just telling him that you shouldn't do that and that they'd all come from nothing and that he of all people should know better.
And apparently that boy's getting trainers for Christmas now and his mum's probably going to go into debt.
And this is all besides the point, but still.), and I've come back, and my spirals look even worse than I thought they did. :P
But it's odd, because I don't care.

And it's like . . . when you boils water, it, um, boils, and when you freeze it, it freezes.
But you could freeze me and I'd still be a liquid, or you could boil me and I'd be an ice cube, because my moods just seem totally independent of outside factors.
Like, I can think bad thoughts when I'm in a bad mood, and I have certain opinions on it, and I get upset about it, and then when I'm in a good mood, I can think exactly the same thoughts, have exactly the same opinions and feel the same way about it, but I just carry on feeling happy.
And everything that upset me, I still feel the same way about it, but I kind of go "Oh, that sucks" and it just doesn't seem to reach me.
And idek anym. XD
But I don't mind, I just find it kind of interesting, because I'm in a good mood and it's not touching me.
And it's slightly scary, in a way.
And in Chaos Walking, the Mayor beat Todd up, and then he put a bandage on him, and when he started being nice, Todd started doing what he wanted.
And this was later used as a metaphor.
And I don't want to be one of those people who is willing to overlook stuff so long as I'm in a good mood.
And I can't really explain why it's linked, but it makes perfect sense in my head.
Like, when things suck, you resist the Mayor, and when he's being nice, you don't.
And just because I'm feeling happy doesn't mean I should just . . . but I don't even know what I should just.
I'm not really sure where I'm going here. :P
And you know when I get really stressed out about things like not knowing?
And I can think those same distressing thoughts in a good mood and I just don't get stressed.
And I don't really know what I'm trying to say here, but I've said it anyway. :P

See I'm in the Senior Choir (aka 9th grade to adults we are split by voice i tend to sing Soprano 1 but if I can't hear the others i sing soprano 2) and we do the Christmas Eve mass at 10pm where we do a prelude of songs. And then we process to the back of the church whilst the melody of Silent Night plays then we sing it with just battery operated candles and then we sing O Come All Ye Faithful and process down the center asile before the priest(s) and deacon, then we go to our seats and mass begins and its a usual mass. I love it and Easter Vigil is neat because we sing in the dark for most of the beginning until the Gloria when the altar servers ring bells and the lights slowly come back and its cool how it happens its all happy that Jesus has risen.

Ok this sounds bad: I cannot sleep Christmas Night. Okay I wake up at like 6am and cannot go back to bed so we have a rule that I cannot go to the living room or wake my parents up until the sun is up. So last year I was in my room and my niece and nephew slept downstairs and so I wake up at 6 and i fall back asleep and then my niece came running in WAKE UP AUNT ERIN SANTA CAME at 7:30am. Hellshe beat me.
(My friend's bipolar. I know it's different for everyone, but it takes a while to switch moods- one extreme to another. Maybe for a month he might be depressed, and another very happy, and "normality" in between. It doesn't just switch like a light switch.)
(So basically what I mean is, there is a possibility, but I wouldn't self-diagnose.)

(I just mean that sometimes people think they have some disorder or illness and by believing that they do, they develop symptoms.
I'm no saying you don't have bipolar disorder, but, you know, it would be better to inquire with someone who specializes in them.)
@Adra: You know, let's say I got diagnosed. What would this diagnosis be based one? An opinion of a person who doesn't know me. I know me, and that is one advantage I have over them. Why should their opinion be worth more than mine?
A diagnosis isn't The Answer. Did you know it's common for it to take a decade for people to be correctly diagnosed with bipolar disorder? Lots of people are misdiagnosed with depression. Diagnosis isn't The Answer. It's an answer. And your opinion is another answer. Who says that your opinion is worth less?
There is no exact answer.
Which is too bad, because The Answer would be a nice way to stop my thoughts going clash, but I guess they'd find something else to clash about sooner or later. :)
