So... spoilers. I hate spoilers. I hate them as a reader, and I hate them even more as a writer. I don't even like mild spoilers, such as "Just wait till you see what happens to Kenspeckle!" or "All I will say is... Mevolent."
I get it. I do. You have a piece of information that's bubbling inside you, and you want to share it but you know you can't, so you share a sliver, something you think is enough of a hint to be relevant, but not enough to ruin anything... and yet, even this is a spoiler, because it's alerting someone to something big that's coming up...
I happen to have readers who are very respectful to their fellow Skulduggery fans, a fact that still amazes everyone at Harper Collins. I know that's going to continue, but we all have to be vigilant about this stuff.
I write these books for you to read them, to discover them, to experience them, on a page by page basis. It sounds obvious, right? But spoilers wreck that.
Okay, I shall now stop talking about it. But if you see ANY shop selling LSODM before the 29th, tweet me and let me know.

The man checked again. The ticket still said “Admit One Wollameaver Dolvampony.” It had the official watermark, and everything, and the woman with the short black hair had produced a receipt as well.
“Okay,” he decided, letting the strange group pass.
“Yaaaay!” Jubi cheered, jumping up and down.
Mara also jumped up and down, though for a different reason. “ONE DIRECTIONNNNNNNN!!!” she practically screamed. “Thank you Effie!” she said, hugging her so tight, she gasped for breath.
“Oof!” Effie complained, shaking the crazy fangirl off. “Try not to kill your adult supervision.”
“ONE DIRECTION, Effie! AS IN HARRY. AND---“
“Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn,” Effie recited. Mara had been making her practice in the car.
“Yay! You got them right this time! Which boy eats the most?”
“Uh…”
“CLEMY!” Jubi exclaimed brightly, the two of them whizzing around the ceiling.
“Is it Clemy?” Effie asked.
“NIALL, SILLY! Clemy isn’t in One Direction. ONE DIRECTION. I’m going to see ONE DIRECTION!” Mara looked like she might tacklehug Effie again.
Effie backed up. “Uh, I suggest a new strategy. Let the Wookiee win.”
“OMG CAKE!!!” Jubi ran in, grinning like an idiot, face covered in frosting.
Effie quickly ran and hid Jubi behind her back. “Sssh!” she hissed. Thankfully, Mara didn’t seem to notice, she was too busy fangirling.
“OMG LITTLE MIX ARE HERE!” she ran over, grinning, and posing for a photo with them.
Effie wiped Jubi’s face off. “It’s supposed to be a surprise!” she whispered.
“Oh. Oopsie!” Jubi skipped off in the direction of the sugar again, and Effie facepalmed.
She went back over to where Mara was hugging Jesy and congratulating Perrie on her engagement. “ZERRIE IS SO PERFECT!”
Effie pressed a button on her walkie-talkie, and Raeza was quick to respond, triggering the message on the intercom. “Attention all Directioners: You have five minutes to find your seats before the concert begins.”

Effie grinned. “This is the VIP entrance, because I’m awesome.” As they walked down the hall, she stuck her head in a doorway, “Hey, Jubi-bean, we’re going in now.”
“What’s that?” Mara asked, trying to see around Effie, Clemy and Jubi.
“Gmhph Shmop,” Jubi supplied, mouth full of jelly beans. “MPHOOIDJKNOKJGNSLKCXMKDgjoeRWINKJIOWFIidii97gysdihKHBGIEWVCN!!!!!”
“It’s the food court,” Effie translated.
Jubi nodded vigorously. “Thmph tphoomph. Iph nmth shphrooth eff aff.”
Mara nodded. “Okay. One Direction now?”
Clemy neighed excitedly, and they went to the big double doors marked “Auditorium.”
“OH MY GOLDEN GOD.” Mara looked like she might be about to faint. “ARE THESE OUR SEATS?”
“Yup!” Effie replied.
“Wheeee!” Jubi said, trying to explain to Clemy the need to sit down and not block other people’s view.
“THEY’RE GOING TO BE RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF ME. ASDFGHJKL;jchdpoferkjqewiojvqjrgjerhfjejmcqjocqfmohmoemhchmcwqhqchcwqmmwapsjodfhjklewrhnitwof!”
Jubi nodded. “Exactly. See Clemy?”
Clemy whined slightly, turning into a rainbow beaver and sitting in her chair. She perked up considerably when Jubi slipped her a jelly bean. “Ssh!”
The announcer person came on and announced, and then One Direction was on stage. Effie wasn’t really interested in most of the talking, but the music was actually pretty good, for something that wasn’t a movie soundtrack.

Effie swayed along to the song, enjoying it, but certainly not as much as Mara. She seemed absorbed in the music, a smile lighting up her face. Making people happy was actually kind of fun. Better than pranks, even. Huh.
“And the next song we’re going to sing is Little Things,” Liam said. “This performance is dedicated to a very special person. Happy Birthday Maralie Lily Charm!”
“Happy Birthday!” the other four boys chorused, and the audience cheered.
Mara squealed and fainted, Effie catching her before she could fall out of her seat.

Harry smiled. “Hello Mara.”
“HI!” Mara practically screamed, looking like she might faint again.
The guitar part at the beginning of Little Things began to play, the audience cheering in excitement. Harry stood and rejoined the band, still looking back at where Mara was sitting.
“Your hand fits in mine like it’s made just for me,” Zayn began, smiling at the box where Perrie and the rest of Little Mix were sitting.
Effie decided she liked this song. It was really…sweet.
As the song continued, she swayed back and forth, eyes closed.

Effie kept her eyes closed, enjoying the music, until she heard Mara gasp from next to her. Her eyes flew open, and she was preparing to make her handbag look like a sword if need be, when she saw what the gasp was about. She relaxed, and laughed a little.

Guys as regards the Requiem Ball this year, I think I've told most of you at this stage that I'm not going this year.
The reason being is because it was on the 1st of September last year at the Requiem Ball that Chase first came onto the blog and we patched things up and became a couple officially again.
And now with it coming around the corner again, I just don't think I can bring myself to sit there in a nice dress and expect Chase to walk in because I know he's not going to.
But I want you all to have a good time and tell me all about the shipping stories and after after after parties.
