What exactly does the practice of alchemy entail, anyway?
The general association is chemistry - transmutation of certain substances to those of greater value, but I'm assuming you're meaning the more esoteric, internal alchemy, where you use the term.

I will do anything for my little brother. He is almost like my child. He is the closet person I have who actually cares about what I have to say most of the time.
Not a lot of people have practiced alchemy over the centuries- it s an dying practice, unfortunately. But it has evolved from those... Primitive ways. Early alchemists were changing the genetic structure, using energies that they weren't aware of.
Once it was figured out that a lot of it was about yourself and the world around you, rather than magic, we were able to evolve.

The point of that exercise was a number of things. One obviously showing me what you are like under pressure- which didn't see to be that good, and you have almost no patience with yourself.
But it was also to show you that you have to work for things, and I'm not going to give you easy lessons.
As for the physical part of the exercise- you were walking steadily in 140 mph winds. That takes a lot of concentration, and you were angry enough to force yourself to do it.

Perhaps we can get to the point where you can just tap into the earth's energy.
As for Taia- there is a lot I can do. Some I can't even tell you- but for the most part, it is manipulating energy- rather, is what I focus on, at least.

Also, a genetic structure would only occur within organisms which have cells, as far as I'm aware. I thought it had been alteration of substances, in which case I'd assume it's more to do with atomic structures.
